John McCain Still Does Not Get It
Feb 17, 2009 Political
John McCain was a hopeless candidate chosen by the MSM to run as the Republican candidate for the presidency. He was determined to be polite and keep out of the mud but politics is a dirty business. As attack after attack piled up he looked clueless and out of touch. I still think he was the better choice but that does not mean he was the best choice.
He is still out of touch. He just saw the Democrats ram legislation down the throats of Americans who will pay for this for generations to come. He acknowledged as much when he described the stimulus as generational theft. He then complained that Republicans were locked out of the process and accused Obama of breaking his promise to have DC work differently. McCain then said:
“Let’s start over now and sit down together.”
Obviously, McCain is missing the boat once again. Obama and Pelosi made it clear John but let me say it again for you; THEY WON.
They do not intend to entertain anything that differs from what they want. They might talk to you as Obama did but their idea of bipartisan is when Republicans do what Democrats want.
Let me also make this clear John. The Democrats did not screw Republicans on this bill. Sure they left you in the cold while they negotiated in the proverbial smoke filled room. It was no different than the times you guys left them in the cold. Besides, nearly all of them were going to vote for the thing no matter what.
You and every other Republican as well as the majority of Americans who do not support this plan were screwed by 3 Republicans. The traitors are Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Arlen Specter. They crossed over and voted to pass the bill and it gave the Democrats a victory that will hurt us for generations to come. If you want to blame anyone John, look no farther than these three.
Democrats knew how to play minority opposition and Republicans are going to have to work on it if they hope to assert some pressure on the Democrats. This means not passively voting for nominees. If there are legitimate issues to pursue then you owe it to America to pursue them. Holder and Clinton deserved much greater scrutiny than they got.
You also need to get your ducks in line when it comes to judicial nominees or we will end up with more Ginsberg types on the bench.
John, you guys in the Senate need to grow a pair and assert yourselves. You have enough people to block anything that is bad and you owe it to America to be as obstructive as the Democrats were when they were the minority. And you need to keep the three traitors in line.
I have written before and I will continue to say that one should never, ever, trust a Democrat. They will bend you over every chance they get.
John I know you want to play nice and hold hands. I know you want everyone to sit in the same sandbox and not kick sand all over each other but that is not how politics works.
Besides, look how that approach worked for you in the presidential campaign…
You got your head handed to you.

Whoopi To McCain: Should I Worry About Being A Slave?
Sep 12, 2008 Political
John McCain went on The View for some unknown reason and he was discussing wanting judges that interpreted the Constitution the way our Founders intended. Whoopi Goldberg said “Should I be worried about being a slave, about being returned to slavery because certain things happened in the Constitution that you had to change?”
John McCain said that he understood her point. I assume that the point is, if you go strictly by what the Founders laid out then slavery was part of the equation. This would be true if the Constitution had not been amended and Goldberg stated as much when she said it had to be changed. The Constitution INCLUDES the amendments so it should be a moot point. The original Constitution did not ban slavery and it was practiced in this country. The 13th Amendment states:
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. Cornell Law School
McCain’s answer should have been; “No Whoopi. While I understand your question and your point, you do not have to worry about being a slave. Those very Founders had the sense to put in a means of amending the Constitution, which you alluded to, and the citizens of this country made slavery illegal using that process so you have a Constitutional protection against being a slave as provided by the 13th Amendment. When I say I want people to interpret the Constitution the way the Founders intended, I mean including the amendments they had the sense to provide for.”
I think the exchange, especially McCain’s acquiescence, left the impression that our Constitution is outdated and would make people slaves if we strictly followed it. I think this is especially true for the dim witted idiots that watch The View. The problem is, McCain allowed Goldberg to play the race card unchallenged.
As an aside, involuntary servitude would include mandatory community service as a requirement for graduation from high school, which Barack Obama advocates. The question for school kids might be, if Obama gets elected, should I worry about performing uncompensated labor for someone else’s benefit?

John Murtha Tortures Troops, Call McCain
Nov 29, 2007 Political
Blow hard Congressman John Murtha went to Iraq to visit the troops and see how things are going. I don’t know why he thinks they would want him there and only the professionalism he denies they possess kept the word fratricide from being in the paper. He stated that the surge appears to be working (well duh) but (always the but) the Iraqi government needs to step it up and start doing things. He said they were dysfunctional. We are teaching them government and they learned the dysfunction from the idiots like Murtha in Congress.
The big event was Murtha torturing our troops. He ate his holiday meal with them. I cannot imagine that anyone would eat with him of their own free will so more than likely some poor bastards were forced to eat with the guy. Having to eat with this jackass is torture so they need to call John McCain and tell him to do something about this. McCain, who opposes torture but votes every year to authorize it against our own troops, needs to intervene on behalf of these soldiers.
I am sure Murtha went there so he could give credibility to the new Democratic approach in Iraq. The surge is working so they can no longer deny this and they cannot say we lost (though Harry Reid will) so they are changing tactics and saying the Iraqis are not moving quickly enough or that they are dysfunctional. Murtha is the mouthpiece for the Dems with regard to military affairs so he needed to go there and come back to make a pronouncement so the Kos kids and other idiots can pick up the new talking points and run with them.
Murtha is an ass and they should have landed the helicopter in the middle of the desert and let him out there and then lifted off without him.

Ron Paul Triples Support in Iowa!
Nov 21, 2007 General
The latest polls are out for the GOP contest in Iowa and they show Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney in a virtual tie for the top spot. Though touted as a surprise the real surprise is that Ron Paul has tripled his support in that state. Paul polled at 2% in the past and is now up at 6% which ties him with John McCain.
Paul supporters will no doubt be pleased that their candidate’s message is getting out and giving him better numbers as the primary approaches. If Paul keeps this pace he could be the front runner by the time the polls open in January.
Keep it up Ron-bots, your message is being heard.
