It’s Past Time To Be “Presidential”

Well, now that the combined “star power” of Oprah, Michelle, and Barak Obama couldn’t (as usual) persuade a European anything (nation, president, leader, or Queen) to accede to his personality, and grant Chicago (and his cronies) the 2016 Olympics, perhaps he could decrease his Sasquatch- like carbon footprint and fly his A$$ home to attempt, for the first time ANYWHERE, to be “Presidential”.

I know it is a hard ask, considering he has so little experience doing anything other than campaigning- he has spent more time doing that  than anything else. Now, there’s nothing else to do.

Chicago was eliminated in the first ballot of voting for the 2016 Olympics on Friday, a stunning defeat for the city that was expected to be one of the two finalists. Not even the presence of President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama — nor a long list of celebrities — was enough to help the United States’ third-largest city.

The race for the 2016 Olympics has come down to just Rio de Janeiro and Madrid; Tokyo was knocked out in the second round.

That left just Rio and Madrid still in the mix. The IOC voted again to separate the two and elect a winner, which will be announced by IOC president Jacques Rogge later Friday.

Yep- I know it’s not a grand venue, like speaking to the German people ( and some wonder at where the idea for the mustache on that poster came from), but you just have to buck up, little buckaroo- there’s work to be done, and you can’t cry over spilt graft.

Chicago’s bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics would probably bring in more money from a United States TV network — and more from corporate sponsors — than Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo or Madrid, industry executives say. The International Olympic Committee will pick a city Friday in Copenhagen, setting the stage for the negotiations that will provide the bulk of its television revenue. A Chicago win is expected to generate a three-way bidding war betweenNBC UniversalESPN and Fox.

Can’t you smell that smell? The smell of defeat, the smell of failure, the smell of impotence- of course you recognize that- it wafted from you during every meeting you have had with other world leaders, leaders who would barely give you the time of day, Mr. Resident- this is because they do not respect you- when the President of France scolds you, you cannot sink much lower, can you? Even someone as clueless as you must know this.

Obama held out the enticing prospect of a Chicago games helping to reconnect the United States with the world after the presidency of George W. Bush, pledging that the “full force of the White House” would be applied so “visitors from all around the world feel welcome and will come away with a sense of the incredible diversity of the American people.”

“Over the last several years, sometimes that fundamental truth about the United States has been lost,” Obama said. “One of the legacies, I think, of this Olympic Games in Chicago would be a restoration of that understanding of what the United States is all about and the United States’ recognition of how we are linked to the world.”

Even Michelle’s dragging her poor dead father into the mix didn’t sway the judges, who evidently thought little of this blatant attempt to play on their “compassion”.

His wife tugged at IOC members’ heart strings by discussing her late father, who had multiple sclerosis. She recounted sitting on his lap, watching Olympians such as Carl Lewis and Nadia Comaneci compete, and how her father “taught me how to throw a ball and a mean right hook.”

“My dad would have been so proud to witness these games in Chicago,” she said.

That’s it, drag him out and prop him up- didn’t help, did it? I didn’t think that it would- you can’t make a childish argument and expect to win, and since everyone with a rudimentary brainstem perceives the Resident as a very weak and naive person, they had no trouble ignoring his pleas, and indeed probably took a sly delight in telling an American President  no, so sorry, you and your nation don’t qualify.

So, back to the grind, you know, the job you were elected to do- I know it is not as glamorous as the job of Messiah, but you , face it, do not have the chops for that position-

That position is way above your intellectual “grade”.

Yes, It’ll Be Just Like This

The liberal push towards socialized health care continues on track, with the town halls just a five week time table to voice dissent- and some of the lawmakers are simply cancelling the forums because no one can be heard.

The only thing that makes it through the shouting on both sides is genuine concern for this obamanation of a bill that will eliminate private insurance companies. Oh, not all at once, but how can private companies compete with the government? They cannot- plain and simple. And the government would ration care, in addition to driving good physicians out of business

So here’s a sample of what we are in for if government care comes down the pike.

A MUM suffering chest pains died in front of her young son hours after being sent home from hospital and told to take painkillers.

Family members claim the medic was abrupt and rude – and when Debra clutched her chest, he told her: “Your heart is on the other side.”

Seven hours later, the mum-of-two collapsed and died from a heart attack in front of her 13-year-old boy.

Debra’s furious family insist she could have survived, had medics not been so “dismissive”. They believe she should have been given medicine which could unblock a coronary artery.

Her sister Darlene McConnell said: “We are heartbroken. She tried to get help but no one would help her.”

She was suffering numbness in her toes, swelling around the ankle and leg pains. She contacted NHS 24, who took her details and said they would be in touch.

However, Debra’s condition worsened and she began to suffer severe chest pains by the early hours of Sunday.

dailyrecord.co.uk/news

Yep, a “doctor” or physician’s assistant who probably made a C- on their final exams did the “cost- efficient” thing, gave her a pain pill or two, and sent her home-exactly the same scenario we fear here with our senior citizens, and the same scenario that AARP casually dismisses, because they are in bed with the administration.

She rang NHS 24 again at 2am and requested a doctor. They instead booked an appointment for her at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, later that day.

Darlene, 44, said: “We now think Debra was actually having a heart attack around the time she telephoned NHS 24. I spoke to her on Sunday morning and she said the pains were so bad, she thought she was going to die.

“She went to the hospital as arranged at 1pm and was back out in minutes. The doctor told her to go home and take Ibuprofen.

“She said he was very rude and, as she clutched her chest, told her ‘Your heart is on the other side’.

“He also told her she had probably ‘racked’ her chest due to coughing. She went to a relative’s house nearby and lay on the settee in complete agony until she had a seizure around 8pm.”

Debra”s son John Paul, 13, was in the room at the time, while his 11-year-old brother, Luke, was upstairs. The older boy saw his mum in extreme distress and called for an ambulance – but she could not be saved.

Just wonderful- and this is what Hussein wants for our system? No wonder the politicians are too chickensh** to go on this system. Oh, it’s fine for us “common” people, but not for the elites, who, of course, simply have to maintain a heightened state of “wellness”- it is not that they want to, ( they would be down with us, wallowing in the public trough if only they weren’t so busy saving us from ourselves, so they are doing their public duty, you see)- Right.

Lies, lies, and more lies- that is all they have for us here, and anyone who believes this plan will help us deserves what little they get.

The majority of the people want to know more.

It’s not just a choice between the red pill and the blue pill, Mr. Resident.

Can You Say “Incompetence”?

The “Cash for Clunkers” program, which was allegedly supposed to get inefficient vehicles off of the streets, but instead is a blatant incentive program for the ailing car business ( nothing wrong with that, just call it what it is), has now been suspended by the government, as it has run out of money.

The program, which was to run through October, has instead burned through all of the incentive money the government had allocated to assist the car dealers, as our citizens, addicted to buying things, any things, seized this opportunity to “move on up” to a new car. Don’t you just love that new payment smell?

“Cash for Clunkers” came to a screeching halt Thursday, after only six days on the road.

In a shocker, the government announced it would suspend the program at midnight because demand was too great.

It may have been the best $1 billion the government has spent so far this year.

Business was humming at Crestmont Toyota/Volkswagen Thursday night as salespeople rushed back to work on news that the government’s “Cash for Clunkers” program was being suspended.

It’s the deal where you get up to $4,500 for your older low mileage beast if you buy a new car with more efficient fuel consumption.

On Thursday night we learned the program was only good until midnight, all because of a backlog of red tape. So the salespeople were trying to get their deals through the government’s Web site.

wcbstv.com

Yes, instead of standing pat on cars that possibly were paid for, some people opted to place themselves in even more debt, despite the government’s largesse- which reminds me- I also own a piece of your new gubbmint car, so bring it over. I might need to take it out and race for pinks. A man’s gotta do something for money these days, and I can trade in what I win for money, right?

No??

Well, at least we know that this is a well run government program, implemented with foresight, and… what?… they did what?…suspended the program- why? They ran out of money? Sheeee………..

“If they can’t administer a program like this, I’d be a little concerned about my health insurance,” car salesman Rob Bojaryn said.

The “Clunkers” program was being administered by the National Highway Safety Administration, which has seemed overwhelmed from the get-go. Some in Congress are expected to push for expansion of the $1 billion budget on Friday.

wcbstv.com

Well, so much for the dream that the new government would know what they are doing- now that we know better, we the people need to spend this August recess of Congress peppering our representatives with our views on the abortive Healthcare bills that they are considering.

There should be No government interference in our system, no “public option”, and especially no page 245, where the government comes in to tell you all about your options on ending your life, so as to save money.

There should be no government entity that is required to come to your house and tell you how to parent in the optimum way (according to these government people), or get in your face when you have to make the decisions that affect your family.

After all, if the government can’t even give away cash competently, how can you expect them to do anything more complicated, such as look over your wellness, and that of your family?

Obama Lies, Your Loved Ones Die

The Resident, Hussein the Incompetent, wants your elderly relatives to die. No, seriously- he does. This is how he figures that costs can be contained.

In his mind, the elderly,at the end of their life, can get a medical “ice floe” to “ease” the end of their days, and we will all save money by getting rid of the “deadwood”- you know, the people who would be collecting Social Security, if only we had any money left in the Social Security system. By allowing these people to expire, the government figures to save money.

In an interview, the Resident talked about his grandmother, and the end of her days, and the plight of other older people.

THE PRESIDENT: …I actually think that the tougher issue around medical care — it’s a related one — is what you do around things like end-of-life care —

Yes, where it’s $20,000 for an extra week of life.

THE PRESIDENT: Exactly. And I just recently went through this. I mean, I’ve told this story, maybe not publicly, but when my grandmother got very ill during the campaign, she got cancer; it was determined to be terminal. And about two or three weeks after her diagnosis she fell, broke her hip. It was determined that she might have had a mild stroke, which is what had precipitated the fall.

So now she’s in the hospital, and the doctor says, Look, you’ve got about — maybe you have three months, maybe you have six months, maybe you have nine months to live. Because of the weakness of your heart, if you have an operation on your hip there are certain risks that — you know, your heart can’t take it. On the other hand, if you just sit there with your hip like this, you’re just going to waste away and your quality of life will be terrible.

And she elected to get the hip replacement and was fine for about two weeks after the hip replacement, and then suddenly just — you know, things fell apart.

I don’t know how much that hip replacement cost. I would have paid out of pocket for that hip replacement just because she’s my grandmother. Whether, sort of in the aggregate, society making those decisions to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill is a sustainable model, is a very difficult question. If somebody told me that my grandmother couldn’t have a hip replacement and she had to lie there in misery in the waning days of her life — that would be pretty upsetting.

directorblue.blogspot.com

Yea, I am sure it would be, but that is his grandmother- he has no trouble being a bit less traumatized over anyone else’s relative.

And it’s going to be hard for people who don’t have the option of paying for it.

THE PRESIDENT: So that’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues. But that’s also a huge driver of cost, right?

I mean, the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill out here.

So how do you — how do we deal with it?

THE PRESIDENT: …you have to have some independent group that can give you guidance. It’s not determinative, but I think has to be able to give you some guidance. And that’s part of what I suspect you’ll see emerging out of the various health care conversations that are taking place on the Hill right now.

directorblue.blogspot.com

Yea, Great- an “Independent Group”- probably governmental in nature, and ignorant of the true cost in emotions here. Look- this situation is a bit different than putting Rover or Tabby down. Even that is your decision, but the government wants to “help” you with decisions concerning your family. Such compassionate Elites- they know what’s best for us.

In other words, faceless bureaucrats in Washington — not your family — will decide whether your grandparents live or die.

Obama and the Statist Democrats promise health care for everyone, but they will not — and they can’t possibly — deliver it.

And we know this, because this is what occurs in Canada and Britain and other centralized bureaucracies, where you simply can not have access to advanced health care, period.

directorblue.blogspot.com

This is NOT what our country is all about- if we can abandon our older citizens as the statists want us to, we will lose a part of our soul, a part of what does make us the greatest country in the world, bar none.

We did not form this country to be like everyone else- hell, we ran from those other countries simply because we ARE NOT like everyone else, and we are and should be proud of this, not ashamed.

So why on God’s green Earth would we want to emulate the worst health care systems in the world, where they practice euthanasia by neglect, and decide “who is worth it”?

People need to wake up and realize that laws are easy- too easy- to enact, but they are incredibly hard to repeal, once a bureaucracy is in place.

We need to stop this nonsense now.

The Protectors of Hussein

I have been posting on this site for a little while now, and I have begun to notice something curious. Some of my posts have been, in my opinion, critical of BHO (Barak HUSSEIN Obama), the “Christian” man with muslim roots, who is doing such a bang- up job of destroying our country at a break- neck pace. Some of my posts have been on different subjects, barely touching on Hussein’s gross incompetence when it comes to all things real and important.

The one thing I have found is that when I post something critical of his Saintedness, the moonbats come out in droves, ready to feast, much like buzzards at a carcass- and with all the finesse and manners, I might add. One might think there would be an automatic “Hussein” alert-” quick, roll out so- and- so— we HAVE to refute!” To the keyboards, one and all! And so they arrive, circling the post like a pack of hyenas, ready to attack with half- truths and innuendo, plus the occasional outright slur. That’s okay, but there is something curious here.

If the column is not critical of Hussein, they leave it alone, by and large- no comment, positive or negative, and that is curious indeed, because several of the most rabid, left wing, atheistic moonbats just LOVE the “sound” of their own voices, and feel the more the better. Not true, but you just can’t convince some people.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I welcome the back and forth- I have my opinion, and they have theirs, but I find it to be curious that they only have an opinion that they want to share if it is about Hussein- but not so much if it is anything else. Are the mindless acolytes of the Sainted One actually that mindless? Have they no opinions other than hiz Lowness?

I see a lot in the political world that outrages me- I know that there’s a lot that outrages the disciples of Hussein (probably some of what I write does this- tough), but I would think, indeed I would hope, that they are not as one dimensional as they seem to be. Their whole being (and keyboard) devoted to one thing and one thing only, the unquestioning and blind devotion to the Cause- the destruction of America as we know it.

Oh, I know they do not think of it as such- if they did, they would be in support of me, but they are not- alas!I guess I will have to truck on, trying to convince many of the baby- boomers and failed hippies that their 60s philosophy never did work, and it is time to grow a new set of philosophies- ones that actually relate to the real world and its threats.

In the fifties and early sixties, people left their teen years eager to become adults, and embrace adult ideas and ethics. but now, since the late sixties and on, people seem to want to stay children, and abrogate many of their responsibilities. This has led to an unfortunate emphasis on self- how does this affect me, how do I profit, what do I get out of this? It’s all about “me, me, me!”

All of this egoistic nonsense instead of “how does this affect my country, how can I help my country?” How self absorbed, how conceited some of these people can be.

Oh, there are true believers on both sides, and the sides have become polarized- often not by the problems and their possible solutions themselves, but by the personalities driving these ideas. The acolytes who attack me and others are rabid in their unquestioning adherence to blind faith dogma, rather a contradiction to the atheistic ones, as they have traded their belief in God for a belief in someone they treat as a god- kind of hypocritical in a twisted, very perverse way, but it takes all kinds, I guess.

So bring it on, all you excusers, and “explainers”, and protectors of Hussein, the patron saint of wanton government control, I can take it. Believe me, I am not going away.

It’s just a shame you have no opinions other than those relating to Hussein.
