Maybe Obama Is Passing This Bill To His Grandchildren

Barack Obama plans on spending more money on our economic downturn than FDR spent on the New Deal (or Raw Deal, as it were). The Generational Theft Plan that he has come up with (OK, Pelosi and Reid came up with it and he signed it) spends money we do not have and there is no indication as to how we will pay off the huge debt that is piling up.

Somewhere along the way taxes and fees will increase and the taxpayer will foot the bill for lavish spending, new government programs (that will never go away) and pork projects to protect mice. When this economy gets back on track, which it would do regardless of the intervention (though the plan might slow recovery), Obama and the Democrats will come to taxpayers with a bill for all that was done. That bill will be paid for by an increase in taxes and fees. I would not be surprised if the tax code is rewritten to disallow many deductions so that taxpayers end up with even more of their money confiscated by the government.

Obama still owes Chicago 1.7 million dollars for his post victory celebration that was held in that city. The DNC says it is reviewing the bills for accuracy but the DNC has had since November to get this taken care of. Certainly the Democrats cannot be worried that they are getting shafted by the honorable folks who run Chicago.

This late bill looks like the way Obama has run government so far. Rack up bills with little or no regard as to how, or if, they will get paid. Just live in the moment and worry about the costs later on.

Then again, maybe he plans of passing the cost of his party on to his grandchildren.

That seems to be the way he does business.

Tribute To George Bush

Today at noon George Bush will hand over the reigns of power to his successor. This is a time honored part of American culture that separates us from most of the world. We do not have coups in the US, we have elections and the winner takes control from the current leader despite their differences. It is done with manners and dignity. That is much more than I can say for the way George Bush has been treated these past eight years.

I will miss W. Sure there are things he did that I did not agree with and there are mistakes that he made. No leader has ever been mistake free and no matter what choices the leader of our country takes, about 50% of the population will be pleased and the other 50% not. Even though I did not agree with him all the time there were plenty of things he got right and there are a number of things with which I agree.

He might be unpopular but the things he has done are being justified by his successor. Gitmo will likely not close down any time soon because the new guy is finding it as difficult to find homes for the residents as Bush did. Our troops will remain in Iraq until at least 2012. They won’t be out today or even in 16 months despite what was preached. The wire tapping that was such an issue is being embraced and will likely continue as will many of the terror fighting tools Bush put in place. History is beginning to vindicate him as his successor finds that things look differently from the inside and decisions are made to not quite undo everything we have worked to achieve.

President Bush inherited a recession and he is leaving with one. He warned on at least 17 occasions that Fannie and Freddie were troublesome but his warnings fell on the deaf ears of those consumed with their own greed. He bears some responsibility for what took place but there is enough blame to go around despite what his detractors say.

George Bush failed us when it came to immigration reform. He and John McCain (a Democrat-lite) working with Ted Kennedy tried to force amnesty on this nation. We were expected to accept the people who broke our laws and reward them with citizenship. The public uproar was finally heard and a border wall was promised. We have yet to see the wall but we will get more bills favorable to illegals. Fortunately, Bush will not be involved.

George Bush was also responsible for moving toward the center rather than staying right and exercising strong conservative principles. He spent a lot of money and government grew. He had help from the Republican majority that was willing to go along to get along. People decided if Republicans were going to act like Democrats then they might as well vote for the real ones.

Perhaps though, the thing that stands out the most in this presidency is the tragedy that occurred on 9/11. On that fateful day hijacked airliners were flown into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. Only the devotion to an idea bigger than self allowed people on Flight 93 to prevent a hit on the Capitol or the White House. I have often stated that Congress would be behaving much differently if that plane had hit the Capitol. It is a weird kind of irony that the people who took the decisions that enraged radicals enough to attack us were spared by the selfless people on Flight 93 while 3000 in New York, who had nothing to do with our foreign policy, perished.

George Bush rallied this nation and for a brief time we were one again. We all felt the pain of the families affected by the attacks. We were all praying for the rescue workers and those who were affected by the biggest attack on our country in its history. We all wanted action taken to find who did it and to make them pay. Bush was the one who sounded the rally cry. He was the one who brought us together and he was the one who went after those responsible. We can debate the actions and whether they were the right ones or what could have been done better but there can be no debate about the President’s resolve.

George Bush is a pretty straight shooter. He says what he means and he means what he says. He believes that his word is his bond and he genuinely cares about people. I know many of his opponents (and I use that word out of kindness) will disagree but they suffer from Bush Derangement Syndrome.

I am not bothered by the way he mispronounces words or stumbles at times when trying to express himself. The fact is that when push comes to shove you can count on him. I would much rather have a man such as he in my corner than a smooth talker who has his own interests at heart. I want a person I know I can count on when the chips are down and I know Bush is such a man. I have heard that a friend is someone who will bail you out.

A true friend will be sitting next to you cut and bruised laughing about the whole thing. Bush would be sitting next to you because he would have your back regardless of the consequences.

George Bush is a religious man who used his religion to guide him. He never turned his back on his religion or its leaders for political gain. Perhaps it is because he is of faith that he does not have questionable religious leaders who hate this country.

I will miss George Bush but admit that after eight years it is time for a changing of the guard. Whether or not the change is good will be seen but the worry will no longer be George Bush’s. Now is the time for him to go do what he wants while enjoying what time he has left on this planet in the country that he loves. I know he counts himself as truly blessed because he was born in the United States of America, the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

I served under George Bush until my retirement and it was my honor to serve under him in his capacity as Commander in Chief. I knew that no matter what the mission and no matter what the orders, he was behind us 100%. He cares deeply about the men and women of the armed forces and they know it.

If we were in a tight spot would I follow George W Bush?

Through the gates of hell and back. I’d walk through the fires of hell carrying gasoline to accomplish whatever mission he gave. Despite his failings, he earned that.

It will take a bit more than hope to earn that same amount of commitment.

So Mr. Bush, enjoy your retirement. You earned it as you now pass the torch that illuminates this Republic. You kept us safe and you never wavered from doing what you thought was right even if it was not the popular decision. You were not perfect but you stayed the course and many in this world owe a debt of gratitude to you. Those who follow will soon see how difficult it is to lead from the front.

Talk is cheap. Action comes with a price.

Good luck and Godspeed.

Obama Inauguration Day Schedule

Barack Hussein Obama will take the oath of office around noon on Tuesday and his revised schedule has been released. The planners had to change it because of the expected crowd size and the lack of portable toilets as well as the congestion of the area.

  • 1030: People will be relieved of suffering as Obamessiah raises his hands toward the sky and thousands more portable toilets appear. This is his “loads and toilet fishes miracle.”
  • 1045: Obama will have coffee with outgoing President George Bush. He will then turn two danish pastries into a bakery so the staff can eat.
  • 1100: Ms. Obama will tour the White House with Ms. Bush. Obama will have a punch list to ensure that she will be proud to live in a “White” House.
  • 1115: Rick Warren will prepare to deliver his prayer and Obama will smite him. His words will sound like gibberish and he will embrace homosexual marriage. A huge love fest will spontaneously occur in San Francisco.
  • 1130: Joe Biden will swear in and claim to be the smartest man on the planet. The crowd will ask each other “who is that?
  • 1155: The chants of Obama will increase and change to Hosanna as Obama ascends the steps, without touching them, and takes his rightful place.
  • 1200: Chief Justice John Roberts will issue the Oath of Office to Obama who will be using Lincoln’s Bible. As Obama recites the words he will raise Lincoln from the dead so he too can witness the greatness of The One.
  • 1205: Obama will deliver his inauguration speech which will be heard by the world’s people in their native languages. No Tower of Babel from the Messiah.
  • 1220: This is a change Obama will begin his inaugural parade. The route has been changed. Now the sainted one (PBUH) will walk across the Capitol Reflecting Pool on his way to the White House. Once he is on the other side he will turn and divide the water so ordinary mortals can follow him on his remarkable journey to change.
  • 1230: The band Bachman Turner Overdrive will appear and follow Obama along the parade route playing “You ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.”
  • 1255: Obama will arrive at the White House and sit in the Oval Office for pictures by the adoring press. His pictures will come out with a halo.
  • 1325: The crowd will disperse to take his teachings across the nation.
  • 1900: The Sainted One will solve all world problems by this time and the economic problems will magically disappear.

Now we know what is planned.

What A Difference Being A Liberal Makes

Barack Obama is getting ready to take a train ride through Delaware and Maryland on his way to DC for his coronation. He will pick up Gaffe-O-Matic VP Elect Joe Biden in his home state and make a stop in Baltimore. Obama and Biden will spend an hour at The War Memorial in an area designed to hold 30,000. The police expect 100,000. It is expected to be bitter cold and people will start being screened around 1100 (11 am) for the 1700 (5 pm) visit. The cost to the state of Maryland; around 11 million dollars.

The state had about a 1.5 billion dollar deficit last year and the Democrats raised taxes. Now we have a 2 billion dollar deficit and the state is spending 11 million for an hour visit from Obama. This is all taking place while the Governor reveals that he will be laying off state employees because he is incompetent and cannot run a state or a budget (yes you O’Malley you lop eared, beady eyed, liberal moron).

Keeping in mind we are on our way to a depression and that the Democrats who caused this mess (with the assistance of a lot of Republicans) are now completely in charge; how do you suppose they will act during the inauguration?

Why, spend, spend, spend, of course. The total event in DC will cost upwards of 70 million dollars and in addition to the millions it will cost Maryland, Virginia and other nearby states will bear the burden of costs related to the event as well.

A lot of the money is provided by donors of the sort that Obama swore would not be involved in the process but that is for another day. Regardless of how much he has raised for the shindig, there will be a lot of money spent on the event. I imagine that when all the nearby states are included, the cost to set up and to clean up as well as the additional security, the total will be near 100 million dollars.

One would imagine that the media and the liberals around the country would be up in arms about the expense especially when we are in the midst of economic collapse but they are on board. They want to attend the balls and the parties and be involved in this “historic” event. As Laurie Kellman of the AP relayed:

So you’re attending an inaugural ball saluting the historic election of Barack Obama in the worst economic climate in three generations. Can you get away with glitzing it up and still be appropriate, not to mention comfortable and financially viable?

To quote the man of the hour: Yes, you can. Veteran ballgoers say you should. And fashionistas insist that you must.

“This is a time to celebrate. This is a great moment. Do not dress down. Do not wear the Washington uniform,” said Tim Gunn, a native Washingtonian and Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne, Inc.

“Just because the economy is in a downturn, it doesn’t mean that style is going to be in a downturn,” agreed Ken Downing, fashion director for Neiman Marcus.

And if anyone does raise an eyebrow at those sequins, remind them that optimism is good for times like these. “Just say you’re doing it to help the economy,” chuckled good manners guru Letitia Baldridge

In the past the AP has stated that the inauguration was to extravagant and that it needed to be scaled down. Yes, we could buy food for the poor and health care for those who need it with all that money. Then again, this complaint was lodged when George Bush was the one taking the oath of office. Then, the AP complained about the cost and the extra security and how bad it was:

President Bush’s second inauguration will cost tens of millions of dollars — $40 million alone in private donations for the balls, parade and other invitation-only parties. With that kind of money, what could you buy?

■ 200 armored Humvees with the best armor for troops in Iraq.

■ Vaccinations and preventive health care for 22 million children in regions devastated by the tsunami.

■ A down payment on the nation’s deficit, which hit a record-breaking $412 billion last year….

The questions have come from Bush supporters and opponents: Do we need to spend this money on what seems so extravagant?

New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, a Democrat, suggested inaugural parties should be scaled back, citing as a precedent Roosevelt’s inauguration during World War II. Newsbusters (first quote from this article as well)

This is what I have said about the left all along. If they are doing it then it is OK but if a Republican is doing it then the tribunals must start. Look at all the corruption that has been displayed by the left in the last 6 months or so. Tax evasion, corruption, bribes, pay to play, sweetheart deals for spouses and any number of other things but not one word on THEIR culture of corruption. Let a Republican fart and there are calls for resignation. William Jefferson was caught taking 90 THOUSAND DOLLARS in bribe money and the only way he was removed from the House was by the voters rejection of him. Nancy Pelosi did nothing. If you notice, it only seems to be the corrupt Republicans being tried and convicted.

But, back to Curious Barack and his inauguration. The articles cited demonstrate clearly what the MSM openly displayed during the last campaign and that is, they are the media wing of the Democratic party. They see the same things different ways depending upon the party of the person involved and they are so squarely in Obama’s gluteal region that they can see the bottom of his heart.

I hope the MSM enjoys the balls and the parties because this is probably the last joy they will have. Major newspapers are on the verge of collapsing and newsrooms are getting smaller. I say goodbye and good riddance. The only thing that would be better would be if Keith Olberdouche lost his job and I got to punch him in the mouth on his way out the door.

I can’t totally blame the liberals though. George Bush has become the facilitator in chief for these ass clowns by declaring a state of emergency in DC for the event. This means that unlimited taxpayer dollars will be available for the event. Yes, we will be forced to pay for this because President Bush decided to open the federal wallet. Can you imagine how Democrats would have reacted if he had done this for his own inauguration thus ensuring federal tax dollars to fund it? I can’t blame him for declaring the emergency though.

Obama is going to be the president and that means a state of emergency will exist for the entire country.

God help us.

Be sure to buy guns and ammo.

Obama Breaks Pledge On Inauguration Donations

The sainted one supposedly did not take PAC money during the campaigns though he took it from people associated with PACs. He also received large sums of money from questionable, and probably illegal, sources. For his inauguration he promised that the money that came in for his coronation would not come from interests.

The Wall Street Journal has reviewed the donations for the event and concluded that Obama has not kept his word.

Wall Street employees have been the largest single source of private donations, and many of the contributions have been channeled through financial-services executives who have put together bundles of donations worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“The preponderance of large donors and the fact that so many come from an industry receiving government handouts comes as the president-elect has sought to keep his inauguration free of special interests,” The Journal observed.

Bundlers from the financial sector include executives from Citigroup Inc. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc., two firms that have accepted billions of dollars each in bailout money from the federal government.

Where did these entities get the money to donate? If they were in such dire straits that they needed money from the government to survive, where did they come up with funds to donate for the inauguration?

Was the money donated taxpayer money? Was this a method to get around directly using taxpaer money for the event?

Regardless of where it came from it seems like an extreme conflict for them to donate when they have their hands out and when Obama has promised the most expensive use of taxpayer money in history.

I thought he promised that electing him would end the business as usual practices of DC.

Looks like the sainted one is nothing more than a politician who has his own best interests at heart.

Not to worry though, he will say Hope and Change a few times and people will swoon and forget the whole thing.

However, I am reminded of the lipstick and pig thing…
