Fighting Back
May 20, 2010 Political
The new immigration law in Arizona has the panties of liberals tied up in knots and they spare nothing to tell us how evil the law is and how it might lead to racial profiling. Ignoring the fact that Hispanic (the group most concerned) is not a race, why is a law bad because it might lead to an undesired consequence? All laws COULD have consequences we do not like but we handle them as they occur. If a police officer profiles a person illegally then the officer should suffer the consequences. We cannot ignore the people actually breaking the law because those who enforce the law might also break the law. How about we give the benefit of the doubt to the people who are enforcing the law instead of those breaking it?
The most disturbing thing about this is that many of the people in Obama’s regime who have spoken against the law have not read it.
The president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, is not happy with the law because it cracks down on the people he sends here and he views this as bad, as if he has a say in the matter.
Obama showed solidarity with his guest of honor, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who called Arizona’s law discriminatory and warned Mexico would reject any effort to “criminalize migration.” The United States and Mexico share a significant economic and political relationship that stands to be damaged the more the nations are at odds over immigration, which affects millions of people on both sides of the border. My Way News
This guy is doing the same thing that all the proponents of the invasion of illegals do and that is refer to illegals entering this country as migration or immigration. It is neither of these, it is ILLEGAL entry into our country. It is that simple.
Calderon is right when he says this affects millions on both sides of the border. However, he gives the impression that Americans are somehow affected when they sneak into Mexico. We know that millions of Americans are not illegally entering Mexico. Millions of Mexicans are however, coming here. He is right because the law will affect millions of illegal aliens by getting rid of them and it will affect millions of Americans because they will not be bothered by all the crime and the drain on our economy. Calderon wants his Mexican amigos to come here because they send billions of dollars back to his country. He does not care if the people sending the money are in America illegally as long as they continue to send money to Mexico.
Besides, who is Calderon to oppose this law and why do we care if he opposes it? He needs to go back to Mexico and clean up that craphole he has for a country and mind is own business. He has NO say so, to put it politely, shut up.
Some cities in America are boycotting Arizona because they would rather side with lawbreakers than with a sovereign state. I think there will be serous fallout from this because there are many more Americans who oppose illegal entry and who will begin to boycott companies based in cities that boycott Arizona. Those cities had better understand that the illegals will not be the ones keeping companies afloat.
Arizona is fighting back in its own way. The city of Los Angeles voted to end some contracts with Arizona. The contracts total about 7 million dollars which might hurt the state a little but Arizona might decide to end a contract of its own. Arizona power companies supply LA with about 25% of its electricity. There is a threat to end that contract and cut power to LA. This would be devastating to LA because it consumes a great deal of power and would likely suffer blackouts.
Good for Arizona. Next thing Arizona should do is end the contracts it has for holding California criminals in Arizona jails. Then the state could place those criminals in buses and ship them back to California. I recommend dropping them off in LA.
While they are at it, perhaps police in Arizona should place pamphlets (written in Spanish) in all places where illegals would likely do business. The pamphlets would inform them of the cities in California that are sanctuary cities and give them directions on how to get to each of them.
It is time for Arizona to fight back and that means it is time for those of us fed up with illegal aliens to fight alongside them.
Never surrender, never submit.

John McCain’s Principled Immigration Stance
May 12, 2010 Political
Of course the title of this post is sarcastic because John McCain, Mr. Straight Talk, is not talking the same straight talk he was back when immigration reform was a hot button issue. When George Bush wanted to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens John McCain was on board with the entire process. The uproar from the citizens of this country is the only thing that kept Congress from granting amnesty to millions of law breakers.
Back then McCain did not have a care in the world and he was courting the Hispanic population (how did that work out for you John) he could claim he was a Maverick and that he did not toe the party line. Yes, that was then but now he is singing a different story. Perhaps it is because he has watched as incumbents from both parties were voted out in their primaries. More likely it is because he is in a very tight race for his Senate seat and he might just lose.
It is not hard to see that McCain is in a tight race because his whole stance on illegal immigration has changed. Back when McCain was courting the illegal vote he told an interviewer that he did not think a fence was the way to go but if they (those opposed to illegals) want a fence I’ll build the G-d damned thing. Now he is a big proponent for the fence. His latest ad has him walking along with a law enforcement officer and McCain blames illegals for all the bad things taking place (much of which is true) and then says we need to build the danged fence. The viewer is left with a warm and fuzzy feeling as the officer says you’re one of us.
McCain was not one of us when he was working very hard trying to get amnesty for the lawbreakers. McCain was not one of us when he was shunning the idea of a fence and he was not one of us when he was working with the left and all the La Raza types to reward criminals (all the time ignoring the will of a huge majority of citizens). No, McCain became one of us when he saw a challenger with a good chance of beating him. McCain is trying to be one of us now that Arizona has passed a tough law against illegal immigration, a law that about 70% of the state’s legal population approves of. John McCain can see that if 70% approve of this law then he had better try to appear anti illegal and hope that no one remembers his past position on the issue if he wants to have a chance to be reelected.
It is time for John McCain to go. In fact it is well past time for him to go. I think he would have been a better president than the guy we have now but mostly because he has leadership experience and has actually sacrificed for this country. And McCain would not have been as radical as Obama.
Having said that, there is not much difference between the two of them in most other regards.
I predict that McCain will lose the primary. The people in Arizona are going to look at the commercial and laugh at tough guy McCain and his supposed stance on illegal immigration.
RINOs are in as much trouble as the Democrats.

Misguided Priorities Of The Left
May 11, 2010 Political
The Democrat party in this country is misguided and has priorities that are backwards. Two simple examples to demonstrate the foolishness of the left. Call this a “teaching moment.”
The country is being invaded by illegal aliens and the federal government has not done a thing to stop the invasion. The federal government has an obligation under Article 4 Section 4 of the US Constitution to protect the states from invasion. The feds are failing miserably in that duty. The most that politicians from either party can come up with is some sort of amnesty program to reward those who broke the law to get here. The federal government has been so impotent that states have had to take matters into their own hands.
The state of Arizona, a state with around a half a million illegal aliens, recently passed a law allowing local police officers to, with strict guidelines, check the immigration status of anyone they believe to be in the state (and therefore the country) illegally. The liberals have gone nuts over this and Barack Obama and his regime are working on the matter. First Obama and his mouthpieces have denounced the law, talked about how stupid it is and then told us how it could be abused by police officers. These progressive morons want us to believe that the state of Arizona should scuttle its law because it might be abused.
As an aside, maybe we can repeal income taxes because Congress could abuse its authority to take them. Come to think of it, it has. We could use this reasoning on any law and it would make as little sense about those as it does with regard to this one.
Arizona had to act because the federal government would not. The politicians in DC are too busy trying to figure out how to appease illegals and make them part of a voting block to give Democrats a perpetual majority. Illegals are taking over this country because politicians are tweaking how to get votes.
But Big Dog, what is the misguided part of all this? Well, besides the stupidity at the federal level, here is where the Democrats are misguided.
The Attorney General, Eric Holder, has all the resources at his disposal looking at the Arizona law to see if it violates the Constitution (which means they are looking for ways to say that it does) and is looking for ways to negate the law. Yes, the federal government is considering suing Arizona.
The Democrats in this regime are so misguided that they will send people to harass the state and its government while ignoring the illegals who are breaking the law. Most people would say the Arizona law is a wake up call for the feds to get their act together. Not with this group. No way. They are too busy working to undermine the state. Think of it this way. The people of this regime are so misguided that if they send people to Arizona it will not be in the form of help to get the border under control, it will be in the form of lawyers who will sue the state.
The above example involves the state of Arizona and its unique situation. But how does this issue affect the rest of us and how is the government misguided in that regard?
Under the Arizona law, immigrants are required to have their papers with them at all times (this is also federal law) and to show them when asked to do so. The feds think this is profiling and racist and that it is unfair. You know, people of color will be singled out and we don’t do this to others.
Glad you asked. The health care takeover bill that Obama and the Democrats rammed down our throats requires people to prove they have health insurance. The IRS will be the enforcement agency and we will be required to indicate on our tax returns that we do have health insurance. In other words, the IRS will be asking us for our papers. Under the health care bill, in order to be a citizen in good standing in America, in order to be here legally, we must have health insurance. Without health insurance we will not be citizens in good standing.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the IRS will be demanding to see proof that we are here legally and they can do so without the same amount of reasonable suspicion required in Arizona. And since illegals don’t usually file income taxes they will not be asked for their proof. How dare the government profile the taxpayers like that.
The amazing thing is that the feds will go out of their way to protect immigrants from being asked for their papers but will require the rest of us to show ours.
This is another misguided effort on the part of Democrats. Come to think of it, maybe we should repeal this law because it might be abused…..
I hope this “teaching moment” was helpful in demonstrating how the Democrats have their priorities all wrong and how they would rather fight American citizens than go after illegals.
Never surrender, never submit.

Arizona’s Misguided Immigration Law
Apr 24, 2010 Political
Barack Obama took the opportunity to call out the state of Arizona yesterday during a White House ceremony where a number of US service members became naturalized citizens. Obama said if we fail to act (he uses that phrase all the time to trump up the urgency) we will get more misguided efforts like the one in Arizona.
Arizona’s Governor responded by signing the legislation into law thus giving her police the tools to fight a problem that is the result of federal inaction. The federal government has had opportunities to stop the flow of people coming here illegally but it refuses to do anything meaningful. The federal government has given amnesty two times in the past and each time the amnesty came with a promise that this would not be necessary ever again and that the border would be closed and immigration laws followed.
Instead, we now have about 12 million people here illegally and their presence is a burden to the financial system of our country and they are a particular burden to the states because the states end up paying for them. They attend schools, they get government (taxpayer) money from social programs and they commit crimes. Those who support the illegals say that they commit no more crime than citizens do. Who cares? If they were NOT here they would be committing NO crime here.
Obama and his Democrats are working up yet another amnesty program that will allow people who broke the law to get here and are in violation of the law each and every day, to become citizens.
This is the only thing misguided here.
The Arizona law allows police to require proof that one is here legally if that person has made contact with police for some other reason. If they are pulled over for speeding or involved in an accident then they can be asked. ANYONE can be asked to prove legal residence.
This law is the direct result of federal inaction and Arizona’s patience running out after a huge influx of illegals, drug related crimes involving illegals, murders caused by illegals and kidnapping at the hands of illegals.
If the federal government had kept its promise after either of the other two amnesties this law would not be necessary but since the federal government has been playing games with the issue, Arizona was forced to act. Arizona is a sovereign state and has a right to protect its borders. It has a right to check to see if people who are there are there legally.
Therefore, all people should be required to prove that they are here legally to (among other things) enroll in school, apply for welfare, buy or rent a place to live, get a driver’s license, and get a job.
Those of us who are citizens are required to prove this for a number of things. It is high time that we applied this to everyone so we can weed out those who do not belong here.
I can understand how Obama would be opposed to Arizona’s law. He has been asked for his papers a number of times and has refused to produce them.
Arizona looks to address that as well.

Texas Does It Right- The Feds Do Not Know How
Sep 12, 2009 Political
Here we go- the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the 1800s, groups of Texas Rangers roamed the borders of Texas, seeking to stem the flow of Mexican cattle rustlers and renegade indians, trying to ensure that the communities in Texas could have the safety and security that they needed to thrive and grow. Even as a part of the United States, as a border state, Texas was beset by unlawful incursions by Mexicans looking to get rich off the “gringos” to the north.
Now it has come full circle, with the drug cartels seeking routes and safe houses within Texas’ borders. There have been appeals to the Federal government, but these appeals are falling on deaf ears, so Governor Rick Perry has given the Texas Rangers the task of cleaning up the border.
Special teams of Texas Rangers will be deployed to the Texas-Mexico border to deal with increasing violence because the federal government has failed to address growing problems there, Gov. Rick Perry said Thursday.
“It is an expansive effort with the Rangers playing a more high-profile role than they’ve ever played before,” Perry said of the Department of Public Safety’s elite investigative unit.
The forces, dubbed “Ranger recon” teams, are the latest effort “to fill the gap that’s been left by the federal government’s ongoing failure to adequately secure our international border with Mexico,” he said.
msnbc.msn.com
Yes, it is true, and it has been intentional, this “gap” that the Feds have left in our security net, but that’s par for the course when you are talking about the spineless Democrats in office today- they are afraid of offending anyone except conservatives. Witness how they bow and scrape to the Islamo- fascists, as well as anyone without a valid visa.
The governor early this year asked Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for 1,000 National Guard troops and renewed his call last month in a letter to President Barack Obama. The request is bogged down over who will pay for the troops and how they will be deployed.
Perry’s announcement Thursday comes amid increasing border violence, particularly in El Paso, mostly involving people with ties to Mexican drug gangs.
“They’ll be deployed to high-traffic, high-crime areas along the border,” he said. “They’ll give us boots on the ground, put people in these hot spots no matter what or where they may exist.”Perry said the effort also would focus on remote areas where farmers and ranchers have complained of being overrun by smugglers and gangs from Mexico in numbers that also overwhelm local law enforcement and border patrol officers.
“Washington is shortchanging them, not giving them the support they need,” Perry said. “As a result, we’re having to dedicate our resources to deal with the challenges we have along the Texas-Mexico border and ensuing issues that porous border has created all across state of Texas.”
msnbc.com
You bet Washington is short- changing us, and you know what? We are used to being treated like the red- headed stepchild here. We don’t like it, especially when we give more than our share in Blood and Treasure to the Feds and get so little in return- It is OK to sell natural gas that is pumped from Texas wells for less than we pay in Texas- we are used to that- it isn’t right, but the Federal government has always screwed Texas, and I am sure it won’t stop now.
He said the state would pick up the tab of $110 million, allocated by the Legislature in the past two sessions.
Perry’s announcement drew immediate criticism from U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, who is running against the two-term incumbent in the March GOP primary.
“Today’s announcement is yet another empty election-year promise from Rick Perry on border security,” Hutchison spokesman Joe Pounder said.
Perry fired back that it was the “height of hypocrisy for someone who’s been in Washington, D.C., for 16 years, who’s had the opportunity to help Texas on our border security, and they’ve been no more successful in delivering the resources and help.”
“So please do that job up there first before you come down here and start criticizing about the state of Texas,” he said.
msnbc.com
Now, I don’t agree with Rick Perry about everything, but on this, I think he is right, and Sen. Hutchison needs to stay in Washington and demonstrate how well (or not) she can fight for Texas. So far, I would rate her performance as lukewarm. And that is a shame, because we need all the intelligent people we can get in order to beat back this onslaught against our liberties that the Democrats in Washington are determined to shove down our throats.
“I happen to think we’ve taken advantage of every program that’s been effective,” responded Perry, who has been branding his opponent as someone from Washington out of touch with her home state. “Pointing out one program that has been funded and leaving the 800-pound gorilla — which is 1,000 National Guard troops that we need — I am stunned someone from Washington, D.C., would say they’ve done enough to secure our border.”
Brig. Gen. Joyce Stevens, commander of the Texas Army National Guard, said about 200 soldiers and airmen already have started integrated operations with the Rangers.
msnbc.com
The first thing we need to do is secure our borders, doing whatever it takes- the Mexicans used to fear the Texas Rangers, and with good reason- few prisoners were taken, and justice was administered on the spot. We need more of that, in lieu of the soft, squishy, feel- good liberalism our courts have been subjected to for years.
When a Drug Cartel gang tries to set up shop, we need to do a curettage, scooping out the cancer before it spreads, with extreme prejudice- this is something the Texas Rangers used to know how to do right.
I hope they still have the will to do so again, because nothing else will make an impression on these people.
Our borders need to be secure, or like Rome, the Gauls, Visigoths, and Huns of the present day will get past the gate, and tear us apart. And here is something the liberals haven’t thought out-
The Huns will tear apart the Liberals too.
