No One Wants To Listen To Liberals

Air Amerika, the liberal radio station launched to counter conservative talk has had financial troubles since it started. Liberals have trouble attracting an audience to listen to they pap the spew. The station has finally gone belly up:

Air America Radio, a radio network that was launched in 2004 as a liberal alternative to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators, on Thursday shut down abruptly due to financial woes.

The network once boasted hosts such as Al Franken and Rachel Maddow, but struggled from the outset, including multiple management shake-ups, a bankruptcy in 2006 and sale for $4.25 million the following year.

Air America ceased airing new programs Thursday afternoon and said it will soon file to be liquidated under Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It began broadcasting reruns of programs and would end those as well Monday night. Yahoo News

Perhaps the liberals ran the station like they run government, figuring the money will come from somewhere.

They learned a hard lesson and that is if no one wants your product you will go out of business.

Once again capitalism ends up with a correct decision.

Unless, of course, the government decides they are too big to fail and bails them out.

Franken’s Bad Form

It looks like power has gone to the head of Al Franken. He was acting as the President of the Senate yesterday and while Joe Lieberman was talking his time expired. Lieberman asked for unanimous consent for another minute to finish up and Franken said that in his position as Senator from Minnesota, he objected. This caught Lieberman by surprise and he answered “Really?”

This is not the usual manner is which the Senate does business. The requests are granted to allow Senators to finish what they were saying and it is a given that they get the time. Brand new to the Senate Al Franken decided that he would break with decorum.

I wonder if this is because Lieberman has been a thorn in the side of Democrats on the health care issue. One has to wonder if Franken would have objected to any Democrat who asked for more time.

Franken’s people say it was because they were on a tight timeline to get on to health care debate but since Harry Reid was more than an hour late to the Senate (after Lieberman was shut down) the time excuse holds no water.

I think it would be absolutely fitting if Lieberman told Harry Reid that he is withdrawing his support for the health care legislation and will vote against it no matter what. He could not say it was because of what Franken did because people would make a big deal out of that (even though they would not make a big deal out of Franken’s childish behavior). He could easily say that he had asked for another minute to say he wanted to get back to health care so he could vote for it but since Franken did not let him he rethought his support and can’t provide it in good conscience.

It would be humorous if Franken’s antics cost the Senate their health care bill. Of course, it would be even better if Lieberman did not say anything to anyone and just voted against it when the time comes up. That would be a surprise to Democrats and drive a stake through their hearts.

I can’t understand why Lieberman continues to take abuse from the party he has supported for so many years. Harry Reid likes to talk about playing politics and fear among Republicans (retribution from leaders) but it is the Democrats who are using threats to bring members in line.

Obama himself has made the statement; “Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother,” to Congressman DeFazio.

This is thug politics and attempts at intimidation but it is going to backfire. Defazio is not fazed by it. Lieberman does not appear to be either.

Lieberman should caucus with Republicans or change his party to Republican to take away the 60 votes the left has. That would be an appropriate way to deal with morons like Franken.

The Day Obama Care Died

This is a funny video with music by Paul Shanklin.

Now that is funnier than Stewart Smalley could ever be.

Specter Might Have Sealed His Own Fate

Arlen Specter, the Democrat who came out of the liberal closet, has been stripped of his seniority even though he was promised he would keep it. Now he might not be able to bring home the bacon, so to speak, and that might just move Pennsylvania Democrats to select someone else in the primary. That would be the best slap of all. Imagine; Specter leaves the Republican party because he cannot win the primary and then loses the Democratic primary. This would be the best punishment for him.

There is an article in the Washington Post describing the strange things that have taken place since Specter defected. In the article there is discussion about the loss of seniority and how it might affect Democratic voters and then there is a major gaffe Specter made:

In a sitdown with the New York Times’ Deborah Solomon, Specter said he was hoping that the Minnesota courts would do “justice” and declare former Republican Sen. Norm Coleman the winner in the contested 2008 election. Whoops! Specter tried to walk the comment back told Reid that he briefly “forgot what team I was on.” WaPo

This is funny because no matter how he tries to get out of this he will end up looking bad. He already said that a victory for Coleman would be justice which means a victory for Franken would be an injustice. It is obvious that his rhetoric is all political because he admitted he forgot what team he was on. Then again, he was on the Democratic team so much he should have known his team…

Should this surprise anyone? He forgot what team he was on when he was needed for a number of critical votes. He forgot he was a Republican countless times so I can understand how he could forget the team he is on.

He also forgot the team of people who voted for him when he switched parties. The ones who voted for him were cheated out of 18 months of having the guy they voted for. Of course, since he did not represent their values too often it was probably not a huge shock.

Any way, it will be fun to watch this unfold and things might be unfolding now. The article states:

And, average voters are not likely to be following every jot and tittle of the Specter saga — especially so far from an election. Still, insiders are paying very close attention and, if Specter’s stumbles over the past week encourage Rep. Joe Sestak to run in the primary, then the damage will have been done.

Joe Sestak announced today he was considering a run. That cannot bode well for Specter.

Maybe the Democrats should put their least senior guy in the back of the room so no one will pay attention to him.

Franken Gets Lead And Suddenly It Is Over

It happened in Minnesota just like it did in Washington. A Republican had a small lead at the end of election day and then during the recount a bunch of previously undiscovered and unsecured ballots from heavily Democratic areas were mysteriously found and miracle of all miracles they are votes for the Democrat who happens to suddenly gain the lead. The entire time the Republican leads we are cautioned that all votes must count and to wait and as soon as the Democrat goes ahead bam, the counting is over and he is declared the winner.

This is how the low life maggots that infest the Democratic Party operate and Al Franken is just the latest to benefit from the mischief.

Franken had been behind for most of the counting but then things that were deemed statistically impossible began to happen. Hundreds of ballots turned up and they were votes for Franken in disproportionate numbers. In other words, the found ballots favored Franken by much more than the vote on election day did. What are the odds.

Franken cautioned that every vote needed to count and in some cases more than that were counted. Absentee ballots were supposed to be copied and marked as a copy. The copies were not marked and were double counted and that helped Al. There were a number of irregularities and some of them involved the recount having more votes than the actual number of people registered to vote in given areas.

Franken and the Democrats were quick to jump on the “I won” bandwagon just as soon as the partisan Secretary of State certified him the winner.

Chuck Schumer said that Franken should be seated immediately which would violate Minnesota law because Coleman has 7 days to file a court challenge. Therefore, Franken will not be official for at least 7 days; longer if a court case is filed (which will almost certainly happen). The law does not matter to Schumer who said that the Senate has important business and Franken should be seated immediately so he does not fall behind. Interestingly, the business is not so important that Roland Burris must be seated immediately. The Democrats have vowed to block him from entering.

Maybe the business is not that important but the all white Democrats in “Club Senate” don’t mind the white guy showing up but they have a problem with the black guy. They are a bunch of racists and this shows it as clear as can be.

The RNC has basically said that Franken should not be seated until all the legal challenges are completed and every vote is actually counted but only once.

[important]UPDATE: Democrats have decided to delay seating Franken.[/important]

The Democrats are salivating over the idea of having 59 Senators (as long as one is not a black guy from Illinois) so that they can have a nearly filibuster proof chamber. With some of the RINOs on the right it is no doubt that the Democrats will have plenty of votes when they need them.

Hell, John McCain will probably hand them a few more daggers. He has been Mr. “go along to get along” and was “bipartisan” all along. What did it get him? They bent him over and had their way with him. They know he is a useful idiot and he is not the only one.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Never, ever, trust the Democrats. They cheat, they lie, and they steal. They steal elections. ACORN, set up to commit fraud. The recount process, favors Democrats who have extra ballots hidden to use when they need more votes. How can unsecured ballots that were not present and were not counted on election day suddenly be counted as if they are legitimate? How can more people than there are registered voters, vote? How can recounts of certain ballots only be allowed in heavily Democratic areas? How can there be different rules each day and different rules for each candidate?

How can we allow this to happen?

The only fair way to resolve this issue is to have another election. This time it will only be these two and let the voters actually decide. Have extra judges on hand to keep the Democrats from cheating and put anyone caught cheating in jail for no less than 5 years. Another election is the only fair way to ensure the will of the people is actually exercised and it will remove the cloud of suspicion from over the head of the winner, no matter which one it is.

Without an election a lot of people will think that the election was stolen no matter who goes to DC.

We all know Franken is on the verge of stealing it but if Coleman wins via the courts the cloud will follow him as well.

Have another vote. If every vote is important then have another election and count every vote.

BTW: I told you Franken would win. I knew the Democrats would steal it.
