Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/killing-animals-for-political-gain/.

Producer and writer Aaron Sorkin has taken issue with Sarah Palin and her reality show all because Palin shot and killed a caribou in the latest episode. There were some folks who did not like the idea that she killed an animal (which, contrary to what Sorkin says, was for food) and Palin addressed that issue in a Facebook posting before the show ever aired. She said that if those who did not like it sat on leather furniture or wore leather clothing they were hypocrites. This apparently set Sorkin off.

In his piece Sorkin describes Palin’s episode as a snuff show in which she killed an animal for political gain. He claims the animal was not for food but only for her political future (even though Palin said it would provide for her family in the episode**). Sorkin also calls Palin all kinds of names and insults her intelligence (girlie men are always threatened by strong women). To top it off Sorkin calls her a phony pioneer girl.

Phony? As if this limp wristed moron could survive in the wilderness.

In any event, this is a typical unhinged moron from the left who sees everything Palin does through the spectrum of politics. Reading what this moron wrote one might get the idea that Palin had never hunted and only shot this animal to make her appear tough for when the 2012 election. Right.

Remember what the Big Dog said. This is all about the left’s hatred for Palin and nothing more. You see, if Sorkin were actually concerned about “snuff films” he would not be involved in films that have lots of killing in them. And if this moron were concerned about politicians who kill animals for political gain he would have spoken up when that dunderhead John Kerry put on his Elmer Fudd outfit and went goose hunting (and allegedly killed a goose) SPECIFICALLY FOR POLITICAL GAIN:

John Kerry brought his campaign for president to a duck blind here in far eastern Ohio Thursday morning, and while he did manage to clip one goose, he was really aiming for undecided voters in this battleground state.

Senior adviser Mike McCurry was quite direct this week in saying that the two-hour predawn hunting trip was another attempt to get voters to know Kerry, who has had some issues with his so-called likeability factor. Kerry also has been talking about his Catholic faith more, and on Sunday he will give a speech on values. Washington Post

Kerry was also concerned about his low rating with the NRA and how he was perceived in middle America so he went hunting. The goose was clearly killed to help Kerry politically. Since John Kerry is anti gun it is obvious that this was all a ruse.

With Palin it is nothing more than what she has done for years. She is a life member of the NRA and has hunted a lot. And, unlike Kerry at the time of his hunt, Palin is not involved in a campaign for office.

So where was Sorkin back in 2004? Where was this guy who is so outraged at his perception of killing an animal for political gain when John Kerry (allegedly) killed an animal for political gain?

You see, Sorkin is a typical liberal. He gets very upset when a Republican does something but completely ignores the same thing when done by a Democrat. He is also typical in that he is upset over the killing of an animal but has never shown outrage over a woman aborting a baby.

Sorkin also represents a growing number of liberals who are afraid of Palin. They wet their panties when her name is mentioned. She scares them immensely.

This is why they act so irrationally when she is involved in anything.

I also imagine it makes the liberals feel bad that “dumb” ole Sarah Palin, unlike their leader, knows which end of a weapon the round comes out.

I mean, Obama probably thinks gangsters hold handguns sideways because that is how they come out of the box.

**I did not see the episode but I saw the clip of the kill. Palin indicates the animal will provide for the family.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/obama-to-republicans-stop-trying-to-frighten-americans/.

Members of both parties met with Barack Obama at the White House and he told the Republicans; “Stop trying to frighten the American people.”

President Barack Obama told House Republican leaders to “stop trying to frighten the American people” even as he and Democrats said they see a possibility for bipartisan cooperation on job creation legislation. The Hill

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said that Republicans are telling constituents the truth and that is far from trying to frighten them. Boehner made it clear that he and fellow Republicans are telling people what is happening and what will happen under the plans being pushed by Democrats.

Of course Obama does not like this because the truth stands in the way of his agenda to radically change America into a Socialist nation.

No, it is not Republicans who are trying to frighten people, it is in fact, the Democrats.

We must pass the stimulus NOW or we might not be able to recover. We must pass cap and trade NOW or the oceans will rise and drown us all. We must pass health care NOW or evil doctors and insurance companies will take advantage of people and we have to stop the thousands of people from dying in the streets. We must, we must, we must, it comes from Obama and his sock puppets and the intent is to frighten people into going along with what he wants. Everything is urgent because he does not want to let a crisis go to waste.

The latest fear mongering comes from the White House with regard to cap and trade. This week, the EPA stated that it will regulate CO2 and other greenhouse gases. This is widely seen as a bad thing because the EPA will make things costly with moronic rules regulating the gas every mammal exhales. Obama has warned that Congress had better get on cap and trade and pass it or the EPA will act. This is a threat and it is fear mongering.

The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn’t move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a “command-and-control” role over the process in way that could hurt business. Fox News

I am certain that this whole episode was well orchestrated by the White House to prod Congress, particularly the Democrats, into doing something on the cap and trade issue. There was no incentive to actively pursue the issue because it is unpopular, will cost more, will lead to higher unemployment, and will have little effect and the upcoming year is an election year. Democrats do not want to mess with this because they have to run for reelection and this issue is one that could sink them. Couple it with the extremely unpopular health care bills and you have a recipe for disaster for Democrats next November.

Obama wants it and this EPA ruse is a way to get Congress to act. Of course, Congress is the law making body. It could make a law saying the EPA cannot regulate greenhouse gases. It could defund the agency or pass a law disbanding it. Obama would be powerless to stop any of it. If Congressional Democrats feel that they are being pressured they might just do one of these things and that would be fine with me.

Get rid of the EPA. It is an unconstitutional agency that has way too much power. If Congress is not going to get rid of it then it can take some of the power away. Either would be an appropriate response.

But the entire issue is all about frightening the American people and putting pressure (under threat of EPA action) on Congress.

So perhaps Obama should look in the mirror because the reflection is the person to whom the admonishment should go.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/obama-warns-against-scare-tactics-while-using-them/.

Barack Obama warned that people must be aware of scare tactics that have been used in the past to scuttle attempts at overhauling the US health care system. Obama said we have seen such tactics in the past.

“we know there are those who will try to scuttle” the program no matter what. He said that “because these fear tactics have worked, things have kept getting worse.” Breitbart

This is the same guy who warned that we must do something by year’s end. This is the guy who said we had to act now. We cannot have an expert panel with lengthy discussions because we must do it now. We can’t wait a year longer. He uses scare tactics, just as he did with the stimulus, to push his agenda even as he decries scare tactics.

This comes as Obama was soundly booed by members of the American Medical Association, a group opposed to his plans for health care in this country. The AMA opposes a government run plan and they have a long history of dealing with Medicare to back up their concerns.

Hospitals are also opposed to his proposed cuts in Medicare and Medicaid.

Obama also lacks support for the plan form his own party:

President Barack Obama’s health secretary on Sunday pushed for a new government-run healthcare program, an idea facing skepticism even in his own party, and a senior Senate Democrat flatly said votes are lacking in Congress for the proposal. al-Reuters

Perhaps the opposition can put the brakes on this mess and give the people of this country a chance to take a good hard look at what is being proposed and what alternatives might yield a better result.

If Obama ends up taxing the employer provided health benefits he will have a great deal of opposition and it might end up limiting him to one term.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/was-bidens-remark-designed-to-stir-more-fear/.

The Obama administration runs on fear which might sound strange considering Democrats made this charge about President Bush for anything he did after 9/11. Time and again Democrats said Bush used fear to get what he wanted done. Interestingly, the first 100 days of the Obama administration have been marked by one incitement of fear after another.

Rahm Emanuel said that they could not let a good crisis go to waste and the Obamabots are certainly taking advantage of every opportunity during this economic crisis to get what they want. Obama himself gave us all the dire warnings and incited a great deal of fear when he was working to get his outrageous stimulus package approved.

Now a new “crisis” has emerged and it is the H1N1 Swine Flu scare. I will not rehash the way this has been overblown but suffice it to say that they have sounded the dire warnings from the start. As it starts to get more clear that the flu is not as bad as first thought and that the spread is not as bad the fear factor is starting to lose effect. Without the fear “emergency” spending worth billions of dollars will be hard to get passed and drug companies might not be allowed near the trough.

In steps Joe Biden to help with the situation. Biden has never been known to say much that is based in reality though I honestly believe he thinks what he says makes sense. The truth is that his ego is so big and he has such an elevated opinion of himself that he believes what he spews. However, it is possible that his latest words or wisdom were calculated (or given to him). On television, Joe stated:

Biden told NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday that he had urged family members to avoid airplanes and subways for fear of contracting the H1N1 flu virus.

“I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now,” Biden said. My Way News

After saying he would not go in confined spaces Joe took the train home.

Since this is Joe Biden it is hard to figure if he was just talking on the Today Show or if he said it to rile people up.

One would think Biden would not be so dense as to say something like this and then get on a train but this is Joe Biden and he generally says things that make no sense or that he figures people want to hear so it is really hard to tell.

Pretty soon there will be another “crisis” so this one will soon be forgotten.

At least we can still count on Biden to be the gaffe machine. Let’s face it, a blithering moron like Biden makes Obama look good and keeps America praying that nothing happens to the sainted won lest we be cursed with Biden at the helm.

Once they hash out the details with the House all the deleted items the three idiot Republicans wanted out will be added back in. Then, the Democrats will get their bill passed with a simple majority. I don’t know what the three were promised but they either need to be voted out of office or die and I don’t really care which. They are a burden to us and they need to go.

Obama was on TV last night using the fear he chided Bush about in order to influence people and have them support his plan. Obama told a number of lies and failed to answer some questions when he beat around the bush until he used a lot of words to say nothing. His entire night was about doom and gloom and the popular tactic of saying that all economists agreed or that Republicans were responsible for the problem he is in.

These were absolute lies. It is true that the debt increased under George Bush and the Republicans but it is not the tax cut polices, the ones Obama described as failed, that caused the problems. It is the out of control spending by Congress. The financial meltdown is a direct result of government forcing banks to make bad loans. It was the Community Reinvestment Act and the subsequent pressure from groups like ACORN that allowed people to get loans they could not possibly pay back.

The Democrats pushed that, Barney Frank said that it was in great shape, and the whole system went to hell in a hand basket when people could not pay. That is what caused the problems and no matter how much the liar in chief says otherwise, it will not change the facts. Obama said that Republicans were engaging in revisionist history. No, revisionist history is when you say that if we do not act now we might get is such bad shape we might never recover by day and then claim you did not say it by night.

Barack Obama is interested in making sure he uses this “crisis” to his advantage. The unemployment benefits are extended until the end of this year. This will cause more people to go on it and increase jobless numbers. When it runs out and numbers stop dropping he can claim that things are improving just in time for the next election. It is all about power and he, as Rahm Emanuel stated, will not let a crisis go to waste. He will use it to bring Socialism to this country.

He stated not two weeks ago that the recovery would require investment from the private sector as well as government and last night he said that only government could fix this. His bill has stealth items that will allow government to decide if your health care treatment is too expensive or not beneficial. Then the government will deny you what is needed. The government will make decisions that you and your doctor should make. There are plenty of items in there that will drive us closer to Socialism and a complete takeover by the government. God help any bureaucrat who denies any member of my family treatment that is needed.

The bill is junk and it is full of pork, another thing Obama lied about. He and Schumer need to discuss things before they speak publicly. This plan will cause the same problems that FDR caused and we will see problems like we saw when Jimmy Carter screwed up the country. This is not the worst economic problem since the Great Depression but if he says it long enough he hopes you will believe it.

Obama has had a rocky start and in a few short weeks he has broken his campaign promises, staffed his administration with Clinton retreads (some change), has made exceptions to his own ethics rules and has found a number of Democratic tax cheats to offer jobs. To top it off, he has begun lying about everything in order to get what he wants and drive us into a depression.

But if he lies about things enough, people will believe him.

Like they believe that Clinton had a surplus…

I hate liberals and I really hate Obama.

Buy guns and ammo.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/listen-to-powell-not-limbaugh/.

Colin Powell betrayed the party that enhanced his career and took good care of him over his career in order to vote for Barack Obama. Powell said that it was because of Sarah Palin but the real reason is that he voted color over party. At least that is what I felt when he endorsed Obama. I have always believed that Powell was not conservative and that he might be better off as a Democrat and it looks like that might be the case. It would appear that Powell endorsed Obama because of his color and his political beliefs.

Powell recently told people that the Republican party needed to change and that we needed to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. Powell asserts that Limbaugh spews fear and hatred. This is a bunch of hogwash but Powell asserts it as so because Limbaugh has not been kind to Democrats. Truth be told, he has not been kind to Republicans who are not conservative. Powell can believe that Limbaugh and people like him hurt John McCain but Limbaugh was not on McCain’s side. When he had only a choice of two McCain beat out Obama (as is the case with many Republicans) but Limbaugh has always been tough on McCain for his lack of conservatism.

I guess we are now suppose to listen to the wisdom of Powell because he will save the party? He has liberal views and he was never truly conservative. Couple that with him turning his back on members of our armed forces left behind in Vietnam (something McCain also did along with John Kerry) and one is left to wonder why we need to listen to what he says.

Colin Powell was a mediocre officer who had a successful career (military and civilian) because he was taken care of by people in the Republican party. Powell is smart and competent but it was Republicans, not Democrats, who elevated him to high office. Powell turned his back on his party in order to vote for a man of color. I stated before that voting for (or against) a person based on color is as valid a reason as any but at least have the guts to say that is what you are doing.

Powell probably did not have to worry about that because he was able to throw insults at a capable politician in Sarah Palin in order to cover his real motives.

That and he really leans liberal so she gave him cover there as well.

Rush Limbaugh is not going anywhere. He makes more money in a year doing what he does than Powell will make in a lifetime and Limbaugh has quite a following which is much larger than any following Powell might have.

Though after he endorsed Obama he became a darling of the moonbats who only a few years ago called for him to be charged with crimes for the Iraq phase of the war on terror.

I guess he is no longer an Uncle Tom to the black community who blindly follow Democrats to the plantation.

Powell wants the Republican party to retool and move left. What we need to do is move more right and stay with our conservative principles.

A good start is by getting rid of Powell and ensuring he has no platform in our party.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/the-sexist-attacks-on-palin-continue/.

The Democrats are ratcheting up their attacks on Sarah Palin demonstrating just how formidable an opponent she really is. If they were not concerned with her or if they really believed America will not vote for McCain simply because of her, then why do they attack her so relentlessly? The Obama campaign was full of sexists when Hillary was running against him and the Democrats, the so called party of the people, women’s rights and all that, have continued that tact with Palin. It is amazing to see the number of women in the Democratic party who think Palin should stay home and raise her kids or that she has no business being in politics. This is from Politico [Jonathan Martin's Blog]:

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Is this really the message that women in the Democratic party want to send? Do they expect men to take them seriously when they abandon their so called beliefs in order to destroy a female opponent from the opposite party? Imagine if some Conservative in a business looked at a liberal woman applying for a job and said, “Have you ever had an abortion? If not then you will be qualified for this job.” To me this is no different than telling a woman she is unqualified if she is pregnant or has kids and must take off to attend to them. The women’s movement was supposed to be about equal rights and the idea that women were qualified to do the same jobs as men. It seems that is nothing more than talk because the women who say they are all for it actually do not have the strength to put their money where their mouth is.

I wonder what Carol Fowler would say if the South Carolina Republican Chairman said that the Democrats had chosen a presidential candidate whose primary qualification seems to be that he was not born white…

I also wonder if she realizes that she is saying you have to murder a child to be qualified to be on the ticket.

They are very afraid.

UPDATE: I just read that she is married to Don Fowler, the one who was laughing about hurricane Gustav hitting New Orleans…

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/madonna-injects-politics-into-concert/.

Madonna is a left wing lunatic. This is well known and she fits right in with all the other celebrity liberals who are out of touch with reality. She is such a patriot that she lives in another country and with all her money she found it necessary to adopt from someplace other than America. There is no doubt that this woman has a set of pipes and can sing very well. Unfortunately, she is like many other liberal celebrities who cannot just do what she gets paid to do without injecting her opinions on American politics into her job.

I have never been a fan of Madonna. As I stated, she can sing and I like some of her songs, but she is a first class skank. If she had as many sticking out of her as she had stuck in her she would look like a porcupine. She has injected her political opinions into her concerts before when she was out trying to help defeat President Bush. This time she likened John McCain to Hitler and Robert Mugabe (the thug from Zimbabwe). This was done by displaying McCain’s image with theirs during one of her songs. The One was pictured with John Lennon, Mahatma Gandhi and Al Gore.

Imagine if a Conservative entertainer (I know they are hard to find) had likened Obama to bin Laden, Mugabe, or any other bad person. The uproar would be heard around the globe and not just because of the Muslim connection. Suppose a Conservative was putting on a concert or show and said; “What do Obama and bin Laden have in common? They both have friends who bombed the Pentagon.*”

Imagine if they showed a picture of The One and his running mate and referred to the ticket as Obama bin Biden?**

We have already seen the reaction when people said he was a closet Muslim. We have heard the calls of racism and “distractions” as well as how childish such things are. But since McCain is a Republican it is OK to liken him (as the left does to Bush) to Hitler. Liberal celebrities are all about using their positions to tell the rest of us what is best for our lives. Considering the way they live theirs, I don’t think I will take their advice. Of course, this would explain why they are liberal.

Madonna is not the only one to get involved in the action, she is just the latest. Son of a slain drug dealer, Sean “Diddy” Combs, was part of the “vote or die” campaign in 2004 (when he was not busy shooting up night clubs). Bush won and the youth is still alive in America.

It is amazing that the left will scream that the Republican Party is the party of fear and that it will use fear to sway voters. I will wager that they will not call Madonna’s stunt an issue that uses fear to persuade voters.

Well, one of Obama’s fellow celebrity performers opened the door so here for your listening pleasure is the new Obama anthem.

Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/no-wonder-obama-will-not-debate/.

Barack Obama once famously announced he would debate John McCain anytime, anywhere. We found out that was untrue 75 days ago when John McCain invited The One to participate in 10 town Hall type debates. Obama agreed to one on the Fourth of july when no one would be interested and has avoided any other mention of the subject. The recent presidential forum at Saddleback church in California hosted by rick Warren demonstrated why Obama is avoiding any more debates than he absolutely has to attend. He is not well informed, he is not well prepared and he got his head handed to him on a platter.

Obama took some risk in this type of venue because this is not the typical liberal base. Liberals believe in immoral things that fundamental Christians oppose and given Obama’s position on murdering children in the womb and after they are born it is safe to say he was entering a place where he was out of his comfort zone. Of course, any place where Obama is without prepared text and a teleprompter is out of his comfort zone.

The sainted one went first and he stumbled over questions by searching for the right answer. He could not avoid stating his positions that are well known but he searched for nuanced ways to make them a softer sell. His appearance was off balance, awkward and disastrous.

John McCain, on the other hand, gave immediate answers and was well prepared. He answered from the heart based upon decades of experience and his replies were genuine. He did not have to fumble around looking for the “right” answer because he gave sincere answers. He made Obama look like the amateur that he is.

It is obvious that the Obama camp knew right away that their messiah had done poorly. The campaign accused John McCain of not being sequestered and therefore being able to hear the questions beforehand. This is not true as McCain was in a motorcade in route to the event and then in a green room that had no feed of the broadcast. The Obama camp had to claim McCain cheated because they exclaimed that he was so well prepared. He was so at ease. He must have heard the questions because no one can answer that smoothly and confidently. Only he did.

After the Obama camp made the accusations of cheating, Andrea Mitchell of NBC carried the water for them. She said that McCain was crisp, immediate, and forceful and that Obama did not do as well as his camp had wanted and then she said; “…what they’re putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama.”

Leave it to Andrea to fan the flames of rumor and unsubstantiated claims in order to assist The One. A real journalist would have investigated the claims in order to ascertain the truth and then reported it. Mitchell took the short cut in order to help Obama spread doubt about McCain. As a commenter on Wizbang pointed out, this is the way to help Obama in the real debates. They will give him the questions in advance so he can rehearse answers and then if McCain accuses him of cheating they will yell sour grapes and that he was the one who cheated. It is a ploy that involves the media wing of the Democratic party.

Another indication that Obama felt he did poorly was that he attacked McCain the very next day. Obama went on the attack because he knew he had been beaten like a rented mule. He had to go on attack to take the wind out of McCain’s sails. The problem is, when Obama attacked McCain, what he said made no sense:

“McCain says ‘Here’s my plan, I’m going to drill here, drill now which is something he only came up with two months ago when he started looking at polling,” Obama said of McCain’s energy policy. My Way News

Isn’t this a bit stupid? McCain might very well have changed his mind based upon polls despite his claims that $4.00 a gallon gas convinced him. However, Obama changed his mind two weeks ago and he did so based solely on polls. Obama was opposed to drilling (and still is) and he criticized McCain for changing his mind. Then, when polls showed that more than two thirds of Americans wanted us to drill, Obama says he is open to it. If Obama is critical of McCain in this fashion, is he not critical of himself as well? McCain was first to realize this issue and address it. Obama followed much later. As with Saddleback, Obama demonstrated he is a follower, not a leader. The only leading Obama did at the event was going first.

It is obvious why Obama will not debate McCain in Town Hall type events and why he will participate only in as many debates as he absolutely has to. McCain has much more experience and looks more presidential than Obama does. Obama will give a great speech in Denver because he will be reading prepared remarks from a teleprompter. Force him to answer based upon experience and knowledge and he flounders like a fish out of water.

One can only parrot Yes We Can [Thanks AOW] and scream Hope and Change for so long before the truth is exposed. Obama would have done better to start late so people did not have as much time to see his weaknesses. He will be played out by the time the election comes.

Given that Investor’s Business Daily said Saddleback was “No Contest” Obama and his people must be fretting the post convention debates. I can smell the fear and their reaction to Saddleback only demonstrates just how afraid they are.

It won’t be long before they realize the Emperor has no clothes. I bet even Hillary and Bill Clinton are smiling today…
