The Salem News Endorses Brown
Jan 15, 2010 Political
When I read this I figured it was the only conservative paper in Massachusetts but this paper endorsed Barack Obama. In this particular instance they are going with Brown because the paper believes he will be the best candidate to stop the bleeding
There’s a need to restore balance to the debate in Washington and bring a contrarian voice to the all-Democratic Massachusetts delegation. Voters can achieve that by electing Republican Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate Tuesday.
Brown, however, would be much more than a “no” vote in the Senate.
A former selectman, state representative and now state senator from Wrentham with a 30-year record of military service, Brown has a keen understanding of the unique challenges facing Massachusetts. His time spent as a Bay State Republican has taught him how to work across the aisle to get things done (a trait for which the late Ted Kennedy was justly praised). That experience would help him become an effective voice for moderation and bipartisanship within the halls of the Capitol.
Brown is the kind of Republican — fiscally conservative, but middle-of-the-road on social issues in the Ed Brooke/Bill Weld mold — that Massachusetts voters have endorsed in the past with good results. The Salem News
The polls have swung in his favor and Coakley’s campaign looks like its wheels are falling off. The people of Massachusetts have had enough and this Tuesday will prove to be very interesting indeed.
Coakley is in such bad shape that Barack Obama is going to go to the state to stump for her. If all goes well this will work out as well as it did in New Jersey and Virginia. The Democrats are desperate so they are sending out the union thugs and the thug in chief to help their lowly candidate.
The Democrats are also in spin mode. The internal feeling is that the bottom has fallen out of the Coakley campaign and operatives are already working on distancing Obama from the impending doom like they did with Deeds in Virginia. The plan is to claim that Coakley ran a poor campaign (which looks to be true) and then deflect blame from Obama should she lose.
Of course, if she wins they will claim he saved the day.

An Obama Win Would Be Good For Iran And Bad For Israel
Oct 23, 2008 Political
Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran would prefer to see Barack Obama win the US presidential election. The statement indicates that Obama is considered more rational and flexible than John McCain. This is coming from the nation that also desires to wipe Israel off the map. It is no coincidence that Iran wants a flexible president so that the country can manipulate him and take advantage in order to attack Israel.
This endorsement comes at a time when Iran is working on plans for a preemptive strike against Israel and God’s chosen people. Iran is not likely to be foolish enough to attack while George Bush is still in office because that country knows Bush will not play games nor will he negotiate without precondition. If Iran attacks, Bush will retaliate and the blow would be devastating.
Iran will wait until the election is over and if their chosen one is elected they will attack Israel after the inauguration. Iran knows that Obama is not a big supporter of Israel and that Joe Biden has said that Israel should get use to a nuclear Iran. Couple this with Jesse Jackson’s statements that support for Israel will decrease in an Obama administration and it is no wonder that Iran is licking its chops at the thought of a rookie at the helm.
This just might be the crisis Biden was talking about.
On another note, Al Qaida said that it wanted John McCain to win so that the continuation of Bush’s policies would drive our economy to even greater depths. This is a veiled endorsement of Obama. Al-Qaida knows that if it endorsed Obama he would lose so they say they want McCain to drive Americans to Obama.
Al Qaida knows that Obama would be a push over compared to McCain and, like its pals in Iran, wants the candidate that it can manipulate. They want the rookie so they can continue to work on America’s demise.
American Jews need to pay special attention to what is going on. A vote for Obama is a vote for appeasement and complacency which will certainly be of dire consequence to Israel.

Bill Richardson’s Gutter Talk
Mar 24, 2008 Political
Governor Bill Richardson endorsed Barack Obama last Friday in a move that was only surprising to the Clinton campaign. I suspect that Richardson waited until he was pretty certain that one or the other would at least get the pledged delegate win (Obama cannot lose that) and then endorse in hopes of securing a spot in that person’s administration, should that person win. It happens that Obama is in the lead so Richardson screwed his old pals the Clintons and joined in the Obamamania. James Carville likened Richardson to Judas by stating that the anniversary of Judas selling out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver was here and that it was appropriate that Richardson sold out the Clintons at this time (as if they are anything like Jesus).
When asked about the comment Bill Richardson said that he was not going to get into that kind of rhetoric:
“I’m not going to get in the gutter like that,” Richardson said of the comments from informal Clinton adviser James Carville. “And you know, that’s typical of many of the people around Senator Clinton. They think they have a sense of entitlement to the presidency.” Breitbart
It is interesting that Richardson would bite the hand that fed him for so long but what is more interesting is that he would fail to see that the Clinton and Obama campaigns are really not that different. They have both had people leave for saying the wrong thing and there has been mud thrown from both sides. I guess Richardson was not aware that an Obama adviser likened Bill Clinton to Senator Joe McCarthy. That is no more or less worse than being compared to Judas but it is mud slinging that does not seem to stoop the the level of gutter that Richardson equates to the Clinton campaign.
I do not disagree with Richardson that the Clinton campaign has a sense of entitlement. However, there is the same sense in the Obama campaign and among his supporters. There are those who believe that he is entitled because he is a black man and it is time for a black man to be president. There are those who are voting for him based solely upon the fact that he is black. So there is a sense of entitlement in the Obama camp as well. Richardson has ignored it because he is now in the Obama corner so he appears stupid when making such statements. If Richardson had endorsed Clinton we would see the same thing from the other side.
I am not surprised that an opportunist like Richardson jumped on the Obama bandwagon. He is looking for another job in government and figures Obama will win and give him one. I am also not surprised because Richardson is a big supporter of ILLEGALS and wants to allow them to flood in and take over and ruin America. He fits in well with a guy like Obama who attends the Trinity Madrassa with all its anti American, anti white, hate speech.
Richardson had better hope that the Super Delegates do not override the pledged delegates and pick Hillary because he will not get anything in a Clinton administration. Richardson will also be lucky to survive until the convention given the history of those who cross the Clintonista crime family.

Irony Stabs Clinton in the Back
Feb 7, 2008 Political
Today MoveOn.org endorsed Senator Barack Obama for president of the United States.
In a vote of the group’s members, Mr. Obama outpaced Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton 70 percent to 30 percent. The political action committee of MoveOn.org has 3.2 million members across the country, including 1.7 million members who live in the 22 states with Democratic primaries or caucuses on Tuesday.
“Our members’ endorsement of Senator Obama is a clear call for a new America at this critical moment in history,†said Eli Pariser, executive director of MoveOn. He added, “The enormity of the challenges require someone who knows how to inspire millions to get involved to change the direction of our country, and someone who will be willing to change business as usual in Washington.†NYT
Now it is not unusual for these far out, left wing lunatic organizations to endorse an extremely liberal candidate but the irony is, MoveOn exists because of Bill Clinton. The group was began when founders started a petition drive to keep Bill Clinton from being impeached. Their petition called for the Congress to censure Clinton and move on.
It is no secret that the morons at MoveOn oppose the war (they are an anti American communist group) so it is no surprise that they would not back Senator Clinton because she voted for the war and has refused to say her vote was a mistake. MoveOn decided to endorse a candidate who has no real record on the war because he was not in the Senate at the time. He might have expressed his objection at the time but there is no telling what he would have done if he were a Senator so his position is irrelevant.
However, MoveOn decided to endorse him which shows they do not trust Hillary to end the war or that they believe his plan for ending it more than they believe hers.
When one considers that this group was formed to prevent Bill Clinton from being impeached for lying under oath (the same thing that earned Scooter Libby jail time, for which liberals cheered) it is amazing that they would rebuff Hillary because of her dishonesty about the war. I just find it extremely ironic that they started defending Bill and abandoned Hillary.
She has to be taking gas about now.
Of course, this group defended a lying rapist so I am not sure they did Obama a favor. BTW, where were they to ask Congress to censure Scooter Libby and move on?

Does Ted Kennedy’s Endorsement Matter?
Jan 27, 2008 Political
The news has been indicating that Senator Ted Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama tomorrow. This is an endorsement that Hillary Clinton has been courting and deals a blow to her while giving more credibility to Obama. The endorsement comes a few days after the daughter of JFK, Caroline Kennedy, endorsed Obama as a man like her father (quite similar to the endorsement she gave John Kerry in 2004). In anticipation of tomorrow’s announcement the Clinton aides downplayed the endorsement:
“She has a great deal of respect for Sen. Kennedy and is very proud of all the endorsements she’s received from her Senate colleagues,†said Doug Hattaway, a Clinton spokesman. “At the end of the day, the voters are going to choose a candidate on their merits, not on their endorsements.†The Politico
I imagine that this might have some smattering of reality to it but the truth is that Hillary coveted the Kennedy endorsement and it is so important that the Clinton campaign had union chiefs and constituents calling Kennedy trying to stop his endorsement. Bill Clinton himself has been on the phone a few times with Kennedy in an effort to stop this from happening.
If, in the end, voters are going to choose candidates based on their merits and not their endorsements, why did Hillary try to get the Kennedy endorsement and why did her campaign work so hard to keep him from endorsing Obama? Perhaps it is because Kennedy, who has been in the Senate for 47 years, is a liberal icon and is loved by a lot of moonbats. His endorsement gives credibility to people within the moonbat community. Hillary wanted the blessing of Ted Kennedy.
I don’t care for Obama and he has his own issues but I like to see him doing well in the primary because it gives the Clintons fits and it makes them reveal their true selves.
The Kos kids were talking about the disarray in the Republican Party but it seems to me that the Democrats are the ones acting like a dysfunctional family.
