Obama Cuts Off Constituents

The good news for taxpayers is that Barack Obama signed into law on Thursday legislation that is supposed to prevent about 50 billion dollars from going to people who are not supposed to get it. The dead, those in jail and fugitives have been paid money they are not supposed to get.

President Barack Obama on Thursday signed legislation intended to slash by $50 billion the taxpayer money improperly paid to dead people, fugitives and those in jail who shouldn’t be getting benefits. Yahoo News

The bad news is that this will only reduce by about half the number of such payments.

This is what happens when government is involved. Programs are put into place and they grow because government never shrinks. As they grow, they become more difficult to manage and oversight (if any existed to begin with) is lost in the massive bureaucracy. People who have died or are incarcerated continue to get paid because no one is able to decipher what is going on.

This happens in all government programs and will happen in the new health care takeover.

Interestingly, this kind of waste is generally shrugged off but let a contractor (like Halliburton) get paid to much and all hell breaks loose. I fully agree with holding contractors accountable but how can they be held to standards that the government cannot achieve?

This is one of the problems with the financial takeover bill that has been disguised as a reform bill. The very people who spend too much and waste our money have put in place a law telling private businesses how to do things, as if the government knows. To top it off, the two biggest criminals in Congress (with regard to financial items) wrote the bill. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are directly responsible for the economic collapse because of their legislation and support of companies involved in the mess (hard to bite the hand that is feeding you).

So we reward these morons by letting them write the legislation to supposedly correct the mess they caused.

Only in our government can such stupidity take place.

Another bad news item for Democrats is that Obama has cut off about 50 billion dollars from their constituents.

There are a number of dead people in Chicago now considering staying home on election day…

Never surrender, never submit.

Senator Dodd Reduced Aviation Security

Now that securing the nation’s airports is again on the front burner, after the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack, the Washington Examiner is reporting that one Senator introduced an amendment to reduce aviation security. The Examiner reports:

Back in July, Senator Chris Dodd, D-Conn., proposed an amendment reducing aviation security appropriations by $4.5 million in favor of firefighter grants — a notoriously inneffective[sic] program. In fact, the money was specifically “for screening operations and the amount for explosives detection systems.”

According to the report, Dodd reduced aviation security by $4.5 million to give the money “to line the pockets of a constituency that supported his presidential campaign in a big way.”

Politics over security, yep that sounds like a Democrat.

Obviously this had no impact on what took place on Christmas but one has to wonder what affect it is having now that security has been stepped up. Would that money have been used to buy more x-ray screeners that airports are now begging for? Would explosives detectors now be in place so that dogs would not have to do the job?

Senator Dodd is not likely to win reelection next year. His constituency is unhappy with his illegal sweetheart mortgage deal and his role in the collapse of the housing market.

The fact that he played politics with our security cannot sit too well with them either.

It’s Time, Chris, Ted

According to page 245 of the Healthcare bill, people 65 years or older, when they might have a terminal, or possible terminal illness, should be counseled on possible procedures that might help assist the transition into another life- and we don’t mean that of a Wal- Mart greeter. Instead, these people should be counseled on possible ways to end their lives, and in that spirit, I would like to volunteer to “counsel” Chris Dodd, and Teddy Kennedy, who both have cancer, are over 65, and have one foot in the afterlife and the other on a banana peel.

I feel  that I should remind them of all the good things…okay things….alright, fairly bad things that they have been party to, and maybe, just maybe, this might be a real good time to begin looking forward to a different “way” of looking at life, like perhaps from the point of view of a cadaver. Just think of your new constituency- more people are dead than are alive.

Why think of the possibilities- George Parr and LBJ caused an entire cemetery in Duval County to rise and vote, why couldn’t you? And these people- okay, perhaps some of them are already the dust the Bible speaks of, but the ones who are not yet crumbled will be beholden to you, because even AARP drops dead people from their subscription lists. Why, it’s as if they cease to exist- noone has their back, and they are a grossly underrepresented minority—- fine- technically, they do constitute a majority, but I am sure we can work on the fine points.

The truth is, it is time for you to go, and there are some people you could be kind enough to take with you. Senator Byrd, for example- he is truly the walking dead, and an inspiration to every zombie in the land. Helen Thomas, you could take her- after all, you might need a journalist to give you good press- oh and Ginsburg, too, just to be on the safe side- a lawyer never goes out of style.

So here’s a handful of pills- be sure and take them with a full glass of water, we wouldn’t want you to choke, or fail to take them all. Lie down, and we will play you some real nice music, with a hologram of peaceful places and soothing scenery- you know, kind of like that movie “Soylent Green”. You’ll like it.

See you on the flip side.

Hypocrisy is a Liberal By-law

Everybody who hasn’t been in a soundproof room for the last couple of weeks has heard of the dust-up between Nancy Pelosi and the CIA, where she adamantly (and stridently, sometimes incoherently) denies that she knew anything about EITs (enhanced interrogation techniques) and claims that it was the CIA who lied. It must have been her ritalin talking to say something rash like that.

But she is not the only one who has problems on that side of the aisle, oh no. The list is almost as long as the membership of the Democrat party is itself. I think, because they are SO unused to power, that they have literally forgotten that they are accountable to the people of the United States for their egregious behavior and criminal attitudes.

Let’s begin our tour with Charlie Rangel, who has more than enough on his plate concerning whether he should pay taxes on several rent properties he actually owns. Yes, Chuckie- it is taxable. Then there are the expenses for leased cars, and owned cars, and it gets complicated, he says- but you see, he is part of the committee that writes the tax code, so he should know- that IS supposed to be his job. Is he incompetent? One might think so.

Little Timmy Geithner, former head of the New York Fed, a person who has been in on EVERY aspect of the generational theft we have been suffering under since the TARP fund was created, has tax problems- you would expect that the head of the Federal Reserve could at least PAY HIS TAXES- the rest of us common folk are expected to. This tax thing seems to be a problem with Dems- Dashle, Killefer, Dodd, Reid, all of these and more have not been able to reconcile their taxes.

This leads to a perception that Liberals just can’t do math- and yet they are managing our economy? This should not be, but the libs have been really good at subterfuge- look at how easily they fooled us with a smooth talker. We just didn’t know at the time that he can’t speak coherently without his tele-prompter. It is his best friend, and he takes it everywhere- I think I saw it even when he was ordering a burger one day, with Joe Biden.

Skinny B probably has a Secret Service guard on the tele-prompter, with orders to save the prompter, not Biden. There have to be priorities, after all. Amtrak Joey is expendable, after all, but the prompter is not.

Some people have a dashboard Jesus- Barama has a dashboard Prompter, so he can give directions to the driver.
It would be justice if, since the Dems started this financial mess, they could clean it up, but as I said before, obviously they can’t do math- when Skinny B claims that he inherited a deficit of 1.2 trillion dollars, but by increasing it to 4.6 trillion over the next three years he is reducing the deficit, I have to wonder if perhaps he has been into Pelosi’s Meds- and you can tell from HER expression that those are potent meds.

Harry Reid has some really questionable land deals in Nevada, Chris Dodd has legal mortgage questions concerning sweetheart deals with Countrywide, a company that took govt. money. Jack (all our soldiers are baby killers) Murtha has his own airport, which the government has paid over 150 million dollars for. Now, he is getting a runway resurfaced for 150,000 dollars. That airport serves twenty people a week, and he’s got the stones to criticize Republicans? He’s no better, and probably worse, than Ted (Bridge to Nowhere) Stevens was. Now his good for nothing nephew gets a no bid contract from the government to do nothing? Hypocrisy.

If Republicans were doing even half of these things, they would be tossed out of office, because at least Republicans have some shame, but the Dems act like they are immune to the stigma of criminal behavior, as if they deserve to be able to act this way. There is just no shame to these wastes of space. When Duke Cunningham was accused, he was out of office before he was convicted. Ted Stevens, out. Larry Craig, out. The conservative wing has some shame, and we take responsibility for our actions, unlike the serial deniers on the liberal side.

The one saving grace is that Barama can not possibly do what he says, monetarily. There is just not enough money to do this without a punishing tax hike on everybody, top to bottom. This is when their fake “class warfare” hype will collapse from the weight of the accumulated lies, and the people will finally see the faker and his thieving party for the criminals they are. The hypocrisy party will be over.

You can fool all of the people some of the time, and you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

Get It While It’s Hot

Ooooh baby- have we got a rogue’s gallery of miscreants, liars, thieves, and overall ignorant people here, and the list grows every day.

It blows me away that the newspapers, by and large, either ignore these problems, or bury them deep in the paper, hoping that people won’t read that far.

Let’s start with the big three- Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Chuck Schumer, all of these Democrats on either the House Finance Committee,or the Senate Banking Committee, and all of them, along with other, less important ones like Maxine Waters, were responsible for the sub- prime meltdown, by refusing to add regulations to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Since 1997, Barney Frank, the Elmer Fudd of the House Finance committee, has repeatedly blocked any and all attempts at reform for these lending entities, just so they could claim (falsely) that they were able to put poor people into houses.

OK, technically these poor people got the houses, but when they couldn’t afford them, they had to move out, or file for bankruptcy- not a good outcome.

Then, Chris Dodd has the Countrywide scandal, where he got sweetheart deals on mortgages that violate his oath, if obviously not his ambiguous ethics.

Now, let’s talk taxes, since the Democrats seem to be, as a group, extremely allergic to paying any- no wonder we have a budget problem. Charlie Rangel, who chairs the House Ways and Means Committee, which sets our tax rate and writes the ridiculous tax code, can’t seem to get his taxes straight, believing that any rent he gets from several properties in New York is not income. In addition, the cars he owns, and the ones he leases, are also subject to taxation, contrary to his beliefs.

Tom Dashle, Nancy Kilefer, Tim Geithner- all have had tax troubles that in at least two cases, led to the derailing of their nominations to the Barama cabinet. In Geithner’s case, however, he was made the head of the TReasury, which runs the IRS. This is like hiring a serial child rapist to baby sit your daughter. Seriously.

And Rhomboid Emmanuel, the Prez’ favorite homie, doesn’t seem to know the tax code either. The man who is Chief of Staff to the President feels that living rent- free, thanks to a political donor, is not crossing an ethical if not a legal line, but he isn’t even being investigated here. If this was a Republican, oh the stories you would hear and read.

And then there’s Murtha- this sorry excuse of a man is all about the graft- we cannot even call these “earmarks” with a straight face. He gets his nephew a no- bid contract- for what? we don’t know yet. The man has his own airport, built with tax dollars. This airport serves about twenty people a WEEK, and yet it has a state of the art radar station that can’t be used, because there is no one who is qualified to use this machinery. This airport has cost around 100 million over the years, and there has been NO accountability for where the money went. Did any of this money line Jackie Murtha’s pockets? Probably, but there has been no investigation, because Democrats really do not care about the law, or the people, or anything but themselves.

Witness, if you will, the sorry case of William Jefferson. The FBI have evidence of kickbacks, and even did a sting on this crook. Jefferson even had 90,000 dollars in his freezer, in a tin foil wrapped bundle. OK, that doesn’t look guilty? But the frustrating thing is that this man may not be prosecuted, or if so,receive a slap on his wrist, because the Democrats are in power now, and with the active collusion of the media, they seek to control the embarrassing moments in their overt power grab.

Some moments they cannot hide, such as the Prez’ lies, and they are legion. He promised to be transparent in his actions- he lied. He promised to eliminate the income tax for all seniors making less than $50,000 a year- he lied. He promised a $3,000 tax credit for small businesses- he lied through his teeth. He promised that he would ELIMINATE earmarks, then revised his statement- he lied, lied, lied.

Barama called presidential “signing statements” unconstitutional, then attached one of his own to a $410 billion spending bill. Is that a lie? I think so- I do know that it is HYPOCRITICAL.

I could keep on going, for at least another thousand words, and not repeat any lies that Barama has told the American public. The list is seemingly endless. The man lies like Josef Goebbels, the Nazi propagandist, who once said that if you tell a lie big enough, and you repeat it often enough, it becomes the perceived truth. This is Barama’s philosophy, unfortunately. It astounds me that more people haven’t figured this out- I have to believe that there are a lot of people who are just oblivious to the politics that will affect them, until they get hit with all these proposed restrictions.

Much like the turtle crossing the road, they are oblivious to the traffic, until they are run over.

Then, of course, it is too late.
