Jewish Americans Turning Away From The Democrats

Israel

I have never been able to figure out why the Jewish population in this country so devoutly supports Democrats. The Jews, as a group, are successful hard working people who do not require government handouts to survive. They are fairly independent minded and lead good lives. But for some reason they continue to support Democrats even though that party is the one that is tepid in its support for Israel.

The Jewish folks in Israel are not too thrilled with Obama and his regime and now it looks like some of those here are jumping ship as well. There is now a website from a group of Jewish people and it is called Jewish Americans for Sarah Palin.

Jewish Americans for Sarah Palin is an independent group of academic, religious and political leaders, dedicated to promoting consideration of Gov. Sarah Palin’s political positions in the wider American Jewish community.

We find Ms. Palin’s policy positions on Israel, Iran, national security, fiscal responsibility, energy, and social policy – as well as her record on these issues as governor of Alaska and candidate for Vice President of the United States – to be serious, substantive and politically mainstream.

The group states that the Obama policies toward Israel and the Middle East have made them reassess their alliance. I am glad they are leaving the Democrats but I can’t help wonder what took so long and why they even supported Obama in the first place. He spent 20 years in a church that preaches Antisemitism and honors the likes of Louis Farrakhan. How much more evidence was needed to show how Obama would treat the Jews?

I want to welcome my brothers and sisters in the Jewish community who have divorced the Democrats to the conservative side. We believe in you, we support Israel and we have your backs. Welcome aboard.

Who knows, maybe this was the final straw.

Marco Rubio gets it as well.

Never surrender, never submit.
