Obamacare Will Add More Than One Dime

When Democrats were ramming Obamacare through Congress they assured us that it would bend the cost curve down and that health care would cost less money than it does now. They assured us that the private insurance companies had caused runaway costs and that Obamacare was the answer.

They claimed it was a wonderful plan. It was so wonderful that the Democrats had to bribe some of their own members and lie to others (on no federal funds for abortion) in order to get them to vote for passage. After it passed it was so wonderful that Democrats granted thousands of waivers to their friends. All those folks who supported Obamacare and pushed for it to be passed promptly applied for, AND RECEIVED, waivers so they would not have to participate.

Conservatives and Republicans (not one in the same) argued that adding millions of people to the health care rolls (ironically, nearly as many will be uninsured under Obamacare) would increase costs. The excessive regulations and the free reign given to the Secretary of the HHS all but ensured Obamacare would cost more.

Barack Obama said that it would not cost one dime more (everything with him is one dime probably because of all the dime bags he bought in the past). He told us that he would not sign a bill that added one dime to the deficit.

“I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future,” Obama told a joint-session of Congress in September 2009. “I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period.” National Review

In all fairness, none of his programs add one dime. They add lots more…

According to the CBO, Obamacare will add 6.2 trillion dollars to the deficit.

That is 62 TRILLION more dimes….

Who Is Waging A War On Women?

The alleged Republican war on women is nothing more than a liberal ploy to take people’s minds off the terrible economy and the failure of Obama. However, the real war on women is being waged by Democrats. The Democrats are screaming for pay equality for women and they love to say Republicans oppose this equity.

Looks like a recent analysis tells a different story. The Obama White House pays women employees 13% less than male employees and a number of Congressional Democrats exceed that percentage in disparity of female to male staffer pay. These champions of the minority/woman/non Republican disadvantaged have huge gender pay gaps (this is not an all inclusive list, just a list of the largest gaps):

• Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.)—47.6 percent
• Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D., N.M.)—40 percent
• Sen. Jon Tester (D., Mont.)—34.2 percent
• Sen. Ben Cardin (D., Md.)—31.5 percent
• Sen. Tom Carper (D., Del.)—30.4 percent
• Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.)–29.7 percent
• Sen. Kent Conrad (D., N.D.)–29.2 percent

Who is Slinging The BS?

Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, says that the those in the media who buy into the BS about Obama’s spending that is coming from the Republicans are slothful and lazy. He is furthering the myth that is now established by the media that Obama has not spent a lot of money and has been as thrifty as they come. This is based on an analysis done by some liberal that basically tacked all of Obama’s 2009 spending on Bush.

Obama spent the TARP money set in reserve and then pushed for and got passed the trillion dollar Stimulus but all that spending is attributed to Bush under the guise that Obama was forced to follow Bush’s budget his first year in office. This might normally be true (and if so did not Clinton cause the 2001 recession) but there are two problems. Bush’s budget was held up by Democrats and not passed and Obama ignored it and pushed for his own spending.

This is what Democrats do. They create all kinds of problems and then they rewrite history. They are basically asking you who you will believe; them or your “lying” eyes?

Obama has spent us into oblivion and now he and his minions are trying to make people believe that he did no such thing.

What he is really saying is that all this spending is not good for the economy so Bush did it, not the messiah Obama.

Those with brains know better. Those who don’t know better are Obama’s base.

Democrat Rule Equals Destruction And Poverty

When Democrats run things they never work well. This is particularly true when they run cities. look at the major cities run by Democrats and they are in bad economic times, are over budget and have lots of public sector union employees doing nothing more than wasting taxpayer money. New York, Chicago, and Baltimore are prime examples.

Detroit is the most glaring example and the city now has 60% fewer people than it did in 1950. People left because there were no jobs and the taxes were eating them up. The crime only made things worse.

There are a few poor souls who are forced to remain there and many of them will remain there in the dark. The city has a lot of broken street lights that it cannot afford to repair and even if they worked it could not afford to illuminate them. The city is broke and is not paying its electric bill.

The plan is to only illuminate lights in the areas where people are congregated. there is a hope that those who live in the dark areas will move to the lighted ones. Seems appropriate since liberals are always in the dark anyway.

This is one hell of a way to run a city.

I am willing to bet that a conservative could turn this city around even at its advanced stage of decomposition.

It would take some seed money but it could be done. I would partner with some wealthy conservatives and have them invest in the city. I would fix the things that are in disrepair and I would encourage business to relocate there by providing tax breaks that would encourage growth.

I would fire all the public employees and interview for the positions needed and I would establish a strong police and fire department that could not negotiate against the people they serve. Hell, I might make it all private. No matter what, there would be contracts that prevented them from taking advantage of the taxpayers.

Then I would see to it that the businesses hired locals and I would offer incentives for people to move there and take jobs.

I know that the once great city of Detroit could be great again.

But only if it can be delivered form the evil known as liberalism.

I think the folks in Detroit are probably asking “who is John Galt?”

Is This Really Good News?

The month of April showed a surplus of money at the federal government for the first time in three years. Big Deal!

April is the month where all our taxes are due for the last year. By April 15^th we have to pay what we owe to the federal government. The April Tax Day receipts usually bring more money to the government. The only difference between this year and the last three is that this year the taxes paid resulted in us having more money than we spent.

This is an election year and right now we do not have all the Obama spending plans being pushed through like they were over the last three years. And even with this surplus for the month the nation is set to exceed a trillion dollars in deficit for the year. This trillion dollar a year deficit (really more than a trillion) is an Obama pattern that has not been broken even with the surplus.

Our government spends too much money. It is involved in too many things that it has no business being involved in and it has become the nanny state providing for everyone. We spend more on welfare programs than any other budget items and the government continues to take on things that cost taxpayers heavily.

Our government has been on nanny state overdrive since Obama became our “Dear Leader” and if he is reelected he will continue to spend like there is no tomorrow.

And if Obama is at the helm it is likely there will be no tomorrow.

As an aside, there is a story out of Boston that schools will be banning bake sales. Obesity is a problem and the smarter than you school officials think that selling baked goods (and other fundraiser junk like pizzas and candy) is bad for people. Leave it to government to prevent folks from being self sufficient.

Anyway, the school system brains claim that they are concerned about the health of the children (it is always about the children) and that children deserve a chance at a good, long healthy life (as if gubmint is the only one that can make that possible).

I think what they are really saying is that the debt of the government belongs to our children and grandchildren. We need them to be healthy and live long lives so they can pay the bills our government is racking up.

Next month we will be back on the deficit train though I would not be surprised to see the books cooked here as they are with unemployment.

Democrats need to get their messiah reelected.

Where Is Dr. Obama’s Scalpel?

Barack Obama told us that John McCain wanted to take an ax to the budget and that he, Barack the Magnificent, would take a scalpel and he would go line by line in the federal budget to make cuts. Two and a half years into his first (and hopefully only) term and Obama has failed to do much cutting.

The first thing he did was raise things about 25% and then pretend that he was making cuts by backing off that number making it appear as if he cut when he was well ahead of what was taking place when he took office. In his time in office the deficit each year has been in the trillions of dollars and there is no end in sight as Democrats work hard to spend more and more to satisfy their need to continue to spend.

Democrats gain constituencies by promising free stuff which is only free to the people getting it. The rest of us must pay the bills for the free stuff Democrats give away. The Stimulus was nothing more than a nearly trillion dollar slush fund to pay off Democrat constituencies. We are in bad shape and things are continuing to decline as the so called experts act surprised at the news each month that is always “unexpected”. Perhaps if the economic news continues to be unexpected and the experts can’t understand what is going on then it is time to find real experts who know what they are doing.

Obama is telling us now that cutting is not going to solve our problems and this is his way of saying that we need to raise revenue. Raising revenue is Democrat speak for raising taxes.

Half of the workers in this country pay more than enough in taxes. The other half pays little of no taxes to the federal government and many pay no taxes and get money from the government. This is total redistribution of wealth and it is what Obama thinks is just and fair.

How about we have a fair tax code that requires ALL workers to pay a portion of their income in taxes. Close the loopholes and make everyone who earns wages pay taxes. We will increase revenue and then the people who benefit the most from Democrat wealth redistribution plans will see that things are not free.

However, the most important thing we can do is cut the spending at the federal level. Obama promised to go line by line but all he has done is expand government. Cutting is the way to go and we need an ax not a scalpel.

The only revenue problem we have is that half the workers do not pay any of the revenue. The real problem we have is a spending problem and that is where we need real change we can believe in.

Obama Dedicated To Deficit Reduction

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was busy spinning the propaganda today and he told one whopper of a lie. He said that Barack Obama is dedicated to deficit reduction.

“I think that has been proven again and again, White House press secretary Jay Carney said of President Obama’s commitment to reducing the deficit. “Most recently by the continuing resolution negotiation that averted a government shutdown earlier this year with Republicans that tighten deficits significantly in this fiscal year by the Affordable Care Act, which is a long term deficit.” Real Clear Politics

Since Obama has been in office the deficit has nearly quadrupled. It is around $1.5 TRILLION this year alone. Obama’s last budget increased the deficit and the negotiations that took place did absolutely nothing to tighten deficits significantly. Additionally, Obamacare will not reduce the deficit. It will, according to a number of sources, increase the problem by as much as $2.5 TRILLION.

Obama has been too busy passing expensive Socialist legislation and playing golf to do anything that deals with reducing the deficit. He is only interested in raising taxes and spending more money.

But, this is what passes for dedication in Obamaland. Hell, this dedication to reducing the deficit is producing similar results as his laser beam focus on jobs.

Since Obama focused like a laser beam, the unemployment rate rose and has been high the entire time. There is no end in sight.

It would appear as if Obama’s idea of dedication and laser beam focus is different from those who inhabit the successful world. Successful people who are dedicated and laser beam focused achieve positive results.
