Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/democrat-politicians-bully-tea-party-in-richmond/.

The Occupy crowd in Richmond has been there sucking up resources and causing trouble. The group has not paid for permits and the city has provided extra police, portable toilets, and trash clean up for these people. In other words, taxpayers have had to foot the bill for them.

The TEA Party in the area has paid about $10,000 for three events that it held. It paid for its own toilets, the extra police and it cleaned up its own trash. In other words, the taxpayer did not foot the bill.

That TEA Party group sent a bill to the city of Richmond claiming that the city owed them the money because the Occupy folks did not have to pay. The TEA Party was demanding a refund because it should not have to pay for the things that the Occupy crowd does not pay for.

Instead of the city rectifying this situation it has done what governments do when challenged, it issued a threat. The city has notified the TEA Party that it is being audited and that it needs to provide information or the auditor will pick an arbitrary number (they claim it is based on the best information available) and taxes will be levied based on that.

The TEA Party has provided all necessary paperwork every month as required by law and the numbers have always been zero, zilch, nada. It is obvious that the audit is a retaliatory action because the TEA Party dared to demand that it be treated equally under the law.

No worries though. The TEA Party is filing an FOIA request for everything dealing with the issue so there might be some embarrassing disclosures of how this was done as a political move. The ACLU is involved and though I rarely agree with that organization I can commend them on getting involved in an issue that is against a bunch of liberals and not in favor of them.

The city of Richmond is full of corrupt Democrats who belong in jail. Perhaps this effort will land some of them there.

At the least let us hope it shows the voters how crooked these people are and how they are wasting tax dollars. Perhaps this will inspire the voters to throw these cretins out of office.

It seems to me that the Chicago Way is alive and well. It also seems that one day real soon these politicians are going to get pushback they won’t like.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/the-i-know-nothing-regime/.

The Obama Regime has a bunch of know nothings in it. I don’t mean they are not educated or that they are not smart people (just not as smart as they or their worshippers think), I mean they conveniently know nothing when scandal hits. Since scandal, wrongdoing and corruption hits each and every day, there are a lot of people who suddenly “know nothing.”

The Chicago Tribune has an article about the growing green energy scandal where Obama and his regime doled out a half a billion dollars to Solyndra as a good investment in green energy (a loan the Bush administration decided against because it was too risky) only to watch as the company went bankrupt and billions in taxpayer dollars were whizzed down the drain. The Trib calls this nothing more than the Chicago Way, something they are used to in Obama’s stomping grounds.

The cover up begins as Obama and those in his regime try to counter claims of political favor for people who contributed to little Barry. There will be investigations as communications are uncovered daily. These show that Obama and his people worked to streamline the process while ignoring all the warnings. The major concern was not over whether taxpayer dollars would be wasted (they were) but that it would hit during the 2012 campaign and damage Obama.

Rahm Emanuel, former Obama chief of staff and part of the Chicago political machine, says he does not remember anything about Solyndra. Yep, twinkle toes Emanuel is claiming that he can’t remember anything about the shady deal involving the company that went belly up costing taxpayers half a billion dollars.

The guy who remembers all political infractions and wages war against opponents based on his long memory now can’t recall a single thing about Solyndra. Funny, there are emails from his assistants regarding the issue. How is it that Rahm can’t remember?

Please liberals don’t tell me that the assistants did this without his knowledge. If that is the case he should have never been in a leadership position and he should not be the mayor of Chicago.

This is nothing more than Emanuel distancing himself from a scandal he was involved in. He did that with the Blagojevich pay to play scandal that involved Obama’s vacated US Senate seat. Emanuel was involved in that just as he is involved in the Solyndra scandal but he claims he can’t remember anything.

That is the typical Chicago political response:

“I know nothing!” SGT Schultz would be proud.

Copyright © 2012 Mr. Ogre. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/useless-government/.

Yet another example showing how utterly and completely useless government has become. Seriously. Stories like this one just make me support massive, massive reductions in government — especially on the enforcement side.

This is the story about the Piano that was found on a sandbar in the Florida Keys. A student put it there as part of an art project. There’s nothing more to the story. A kid put a piano on some sand for an art project. The piano was eventually claimed by someone else, which is perfectly okay, the one who put it there doesn’t seem to mind. A day after the piano disappeared, another prankster put a table and chairs on the sandbar.

So, what should we “DO” about this? Of course, in a normal, rational world, we would sit back, maybe laugh, maybe critique the art, maybe complain about people with too much time on their hands. You see, no one has been hurt. No one has been threatened. Many people are smiling. So, in a free country, this would be news, and when the pranksters got tired, there would be no more news.

But that’s not the response of the government in America today. No, today’s government sees numerous serious crimes that have occurred. This government wants people fined and jailed for these horrible crimes. We have “environmental officials” making statements, “fearing” that other people might do something evil: place other things on the sand bar. We have “authorities” removing the table and chairs to make sure no one else is “influenced” by these heinous acts. We have the “Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission” threatening people with arrest for going near the sandbar. State wildlife officials have threatened the art student with fines and jailing.

What a damn load of crap. Every single one of these “officials” is a fool. They should all be fired and forced to find something productive to do, instead of giving them the power to jail people. No, it doesn’t make one bit of difference that they’re “just enforcing the law” or “just doing their job.” That’s total crap. They’re petty dictators with way too much power and they’re fools, plain and simple. And yes, I’d certainly tell that to them to their faces.

Copyright © 2012 Mr. Ogre. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/man-arrested-for-possession-of-firecrackers/.

Well, that could very well be the title of this article. But that wouldn’t be nearly as exciting, nor as inflammatory, so it isn’t. Instead, to help sell news and to attempt to divide people more, the article screams, “Man with Explosives” and “Outside Mosque.” That way it sounds really bad and can be used as evidence of hatred towards a protected, special class of people.

In reality, a man had some M-80s. For those who are too young to remember, these are inch and a half-long firecrackers. When they explode, they make a loud noise and flash. About the only way they can really do any serious damage is if you are holding them when they go off. They are just big firecrackers.

And the guy was arrested with some.

Oh, but wait! The guy has “a long history of anti-government activities,” according to the police. In other words, this guy was an enemy of the government, and government wanted him jailed, so they found a reason to jail him.

It is highly unlikely we will ever know why the man was at the Islamic center, as the press and the government isn’t big on telling the truth. But hey, it is Dearborn, Michigan, so I expect he may be charged with violations of Sharia law before this is all over.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/the-saga-of-rahm/.

Rahm Emanuel is trying to become the Mayor of Chicago so that he can take the place of the retiring thug who is cashing out. One thug will replace another in the nation’s most corrupt city. There is one sticking point and that is, is Emanuel eligible to run?

There are two interpretations of the statute and though I agree with the interpretation that he had to reside in the city for the year prior, there are others who disagree. The court made a compelling argument for the “you must physically live here” interpretation because it is defined separately from the residency requirements of voters.

The statute allows exceptions but it would appear as if Emanuel does not fit into one of the categories, at least as far as the court is concerned.

I am indifferent because I do not live in Chicago. I think that if the law’s definition of residency means you can be out of the state and still be eligible then Emanuel certainly should be allowed to run. He pays taxes there and he votes there so if this is the intent of the law then he has every right to run.

If the meaning of the law is that he had to actually be living there in order to run then he should not be allowed to. It appears as if this was the intent since the rules for voting and the rules for running are spelled out separately and it appears as if the words “reside in” mean that he had to be living there. This is different than having residency.

Many military members maintain their state residency when away serving but they are not residing in the state. States want you to remain a resident so they can tax you while you are away. Be that as it may, there is a difference between residency status and residing in. If you travel overseas you are still a citizen (resident) of the US but you are not residing in the US.

And I think that is the interpretation that the court applied because those terms appear to be spelled out that way.

However, this will ultimately be settled by the courts and if they decide that Emanuel meets the residing in definition then he should be allowed to run.

Of course, this is Chicago and it is likely that Emanuel will be allowed to run even if there is a hundred pages of notes attached to the law saying that he had to actually live there.

As I said, I have no dog in this race. Even though I don’t care for the guy I think that if he meets the criteria then he should be allowed to run.

I also think if they decide he does not then he should not be allowed to run.

And that means he does not get special favors because he is Obama’s buddy or because the people like him.

Then again, who am I kidding. This is Chicago…

Some of the stronger local affiliates will remain but the national chapter is closing.

The ACORN Association Board met on Sunday March 21 and approved a set of steps to responsibly manage the process of bringing its operations to a close over the coming months. These include:

* Closing ACORN’s remaining state affiliates and field offices by April 1st; and
* Developing a plan to resolve all outstanding debts, obligations and other issues.

ACORN’s members have a great deal to be proud of–from promoting to homeownership to helping rebuild New Orleans, from raising wages to winning safer streets, from training community leaders to promoting voter participation—ACORN members have worked hard to create stronger to communities, a more inclusive democracy, and a more just nation. Politico

Members of this group were video recorded advising people to commit crimes (despite any claims to the contrary). The videos do not lie. There is no way to edit in people giving advice on how to break the law.

Now all we have to do is keep this corrupt organization from reorganizing under some other name.

Then again, they say this will happen on April Fool’s Day. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Never surrender, never submit.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/we-will-remember-in-november/.

Congress got the chance to vote last night and the Democrats went against the will of the people to pass a bill that most do not want. The need for reform exists but people do not want this bill as the reform because it is intrusive and contains at least one unconstitutional provision.

Democrats ignored their constituents and voted with the party to takeover and control our lives. The bill is bad which is why the Democrats are in damage control mode. The bill is bad which is why they had to bribe their own members. The bill is bad which is why most Americans oppose it.

But they voted for it anyway. OK, Democrats in Congress got their chance to vote last night and we will get our chance in November. We will make them pay, and pay dearly, for ignoring our will and imposing theirs. They know they are in trouble and only hope that they have enough time to change people’s minds. They will also push for the rest of their agenda (amnesty, cap and trade, etc.) to keep us occupied and to make us forget what they did.

They will not be successful. When election day gets here they will pay with their jobs. We will not forget what they did. We will not forget the process and the way they ignored our Republican form of government to play dictator. We will not forget.

Those in safe districts likely have little to worry about but they will be in the minority when the election rolls around. Nancy Pelosi will be relegated to the minority. If they are smart they will give her a job cleaning latrines. That is where she belongs.

Meanwhile, people will hold Barack Obama accountable. He said on at least twenty occasions that he will reduce premiums by about $2500. He had better come through on that or he will be bounced on his progressive ass in 2012. He is likely a one term occupant anyway but Bill Clinton was able to wrangle a second term. Obama, with a Republican majority, might be able to do the same. We have had enough of this communist and we need to get rid of him after one term before he does even more damage.

It might be worthwhile for conservatives to sell all stock in companies who supported this mess.

We lost a battle yesterday but we have not lost the war. We need to get into our full battle rattle and take back our country.

We can start in November by making every one of them pay for what they did.

Never surrender, never submit.
This is great news! The corrupt organization has been caught committing one crime after another and using taxpayer dollars to do it.

After public attention focused on their criminal deeds Obama and Democrats distanced themselves from the group. Perhaps it is because the group’s illegal activities helped elect some of them (Franken).

But now the group is in financial trouble and preparing to file for bankruptcy protection.

Good, I want to see this group go out of business and not be allowed to reconstitute under some other name.

As for all of their workers who will be out of work, screw them. They can go on Obama unemployment. At least that government welfare would be cheaper than the government welfare we have been giving the organization for all these years.

And to think, we have a couple of courageous young people to thank for this because they did the job the lame stream media refuses to do.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/nancy-pelosi-drain-your-swamp/.

Nancy Pelosi told us how wonderful Democrats were and that when they took control they would drain the swamp and let sunshine disinfect DC. She and her cohorts rode into power on a wave of anti Bush sentiment and their claims of the Republican “Culture of Corruption.”

To be sure, there have been and are corrupt Republicans but to listen to Pelosi one would think corruption is limited to that party. Pelosi and the Democrats have their own corruption to worry about and Pelosi seems none to eager to drain her own corrupt swamp.

The ethical woes facing Democrats are piling up, with barely a day passing in recent weeks without headlines from Washington to New York and beyond filled with word of scandal or allegations of wrongdoing. NY Times

Governor Paterson of New York is mentioned in the article but he does not fall under Pelosi’s purview.

The list of corruption and wrong doing on the left gets increasingly longer each day.

And the Washington Examiner points out the dirty money in DC with its Dirty Money Archives. Look at that long list of Democrats…

But don’t ignore the Republicans on the list. Like I pointed out earlier, the problem is on both sides.

Vote them all out and we can start over…

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/democrats-are-in-panic-mode-in-massachusetts/.

US Army veteran and candidate for the US Senate in Massachusetts Scott Brown is causing quite a stir among those in the liberal establishment who believe that the Senate seat in question is “Ted Kennedy’s” seat and that Martha Coakley is the rightful owner of that seat but has yet to go through the formality of an election. Rasmussen found Brown 9 points behind Coakley last week but my liberal commenters discounted this because they say Rasmussen is a shill for Republicans and if -9 is all he could scare up then she is doing OK.

This week finds us using a left wing polling organization, Public Policy Polling, which shows Brown with a 1 point lead which makes this race a toss-up. Brown could certainly lose this election very easily because the Democrats have a lot of tools at their disposal. SEIU is out in full force and supporting Coakley and MoveOn.org is in the mix helping her. Add in ACORN and its criminal activities and we see the shenanigans the left is known for. This is especially true when one considers that Massachusetts is a very blue state and, for some reason, the Kennedys think they own that Senate Seat.

Let me be clear, this seat is not Ted Kennedy’s seat, it belongs to the people. It was the seat held by Kennedy but he did not own it despite what Democrats will have you believe. No one can blame them because Ted Kennedy acted as if he owned the seat. He acted as if he and his Democrats owned both of them. He worked to have the law changed so if John Kerry won the presidency in 2004, Mitt Romney could not appoint a Republican to the seat. There had to be a special election. When Kennedy was near the end of his life he asked the legislature to change the law back so that the now Democrat Governor could appoint a Democrat to fill the seat when Kennedy died. They did that and we are now faced with the typical shenanigans Democrats are known for.

The latest poll shows that Republicans and Independents heavily favor Brown. Coakley has name recognition and has a lot of liberal support but many folks are unhappy with the health care reform being rammed through Congress. Most folks who supported Kennedy’s dream of universal health care do not believe what is going through Congress is anything close to what he wanted. Democrats are less enthusiastic about this election and the youth will likely not be out in force like it was in 2008.

Republicans and Independents are fired up and the seniors are always a reliable voting block. This is going to mean trouble for Ms. Coakley but she still has 9 days to get the SEIU and ACORN bandits out to work some magic.

The Weekly Standard says the poll is likely to spur the Democrat machine to get busy in Massachusetts and that is spot on.

Democrats have already begun contingency plans in case Brown wins. The state of Massachusetts must wait 10 days after a federal election for absentee and military ballots. The state will wait to certify even if there is no mathematical possibility for Brown to lose because of these ballots. The state plans to delay signing the election certification as long as it can so that the interim appointment can vote on the health care bill in the Senate. The Democrats have a plan to delay the duly elected Senator from Massachusetts if that person happens to be a Republican. If Coakley wins she will likely be certified very quickly and sworn in as soon as humanly possible.

These Democrats are the same ones who whined about Al Franken even though he was involved in a legal recount. These Democrats are the ones who want people in DC and sworn in immediately when they are Democrats. These people are showing the American public exactly how underhanded and unethical they are. They are willing to thwart the will of the people in Massachusetts in order to get what they want. As Gateway Pundit reports, Democrats are stripping amendments that Republicans had put in the bills and that were approved. They are unethical and will do what they want regardless of what it means.

If Brown wins it will be a clear sign that NO ONE is safe. If a Republican wins in Massachusetts it will be another shot heard round the world and will signal that Democrats are in real trouble. But it will also tell them to ram as much as they can now because it will be their last chance.

We need Scott Brown to win. The lawyers can work on what happens after in order to get him in the Senate. All of it will be moot if Brown loses so you folks in Massachusetts need to elect Scott Brown in order to stop the run away government.

Remember folks, the same government that is running TSA and Homeland Security wants to run your health care.
