Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/ditching-obama-would-be-an-admission-of-failure/.

Two Democrat pollsters, Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen, are saying that Obama should not run for reelection and should instead allow Hillary Clinton to run. These pollsters believe that doing this is the best chance Democrats have for keeping control of the White House.

I believe that such a move would certainly energize Democrats who have become disillusioned over Obama and his failures and will certainly increase Democrat voter turnout in the next election but there is a problem. If this situation were to occur it would be a huge admission that the Democrats made a mistake in 2008.

The next logical question would be how can we trust them not to make a mistake again? Clinton and Obama have basically the same political views and both desire the same Socialist policies for the country. They both have no problem with government programs that keep people in poverty and enslaved to government because they are both part of the wealthy elite.

Clinton is a bit more likable than Obama and has more experience (though her biggest qualification for office was that she is married to a former president) than Obama but there is no guarantee she will run the country any differently. She tried to give us Obamacare during her husband’s time in office (it was called Hillarycare back then) so it is highly unlikely she would do anything to dismantle it. In fact, she would probably work hard to make it more controlling over our lives.

Even if voters were unable to see the similarities between these two people the Republican nominee would most certainly point them out. Additionally, the Democrats would get hammered for admitting that it was a mistake to elect Obama. How could they go to America and say “elect Hillary because we know she is the best” when they did not elect her last time. Obama was their best back then so how can they change?

Don’t get me wrong, they are politicians looking to keep power so they will say whatever they need to. The problem is not that they say it; the problem is that there are too many people who believe it.

That might be changing as more people are reading, listening, and getting involved in politics.

I know it would be tempting for Hillary to step up to save the day especially after she was screwed out of the nomination by fraud from the Obama campaign during the Democratic primaries in 2008. The problem for her is she would have a much harder time now because she would be following the person she eventually supported. Hillary has been on board for all of Obama’s missteps and has supported everything he has done.

It will be hard for her to distance herself or to show she is any different. It will also be hard for her to shake the problems that would be caused by Democrats openly admitting the mistake of Obama.

Caddell and Schoen might think it would benefit Democrats if Obama opted out and Hillary ran but that is just a pipedream.

The reality of the situation would make it more of a nightmare for Democrats…

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/high-tech-lynching/.

While the left screams about TEA Party members wanting blacks lynched (a baseless claim) the left is engaging in a high tech lynching of a black conservative. The story that Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment and that an investigation turned up nothing has not stopped the left wing media (the Democrat wing) from lynching him. The baseless claims line up with the smear job The New York Times did in manufacturing (in 2008) the equally baseless claim that John McCain had an affair.

The left is very fast to jump on the lynch train when it comes to Herman Cain even though the allegations appear baseless. When it comes to their own they ignore the facts to provide protection.

Bill Clinton accused of rape and caught (and verified via DNA) having sex with an intern. He lied about it and the Democrats defended him during the impeachment he suffered for perjury. The left said it was a personal affair, a matter of sex between consenting adults. Nothing to see here so move along.

John Edwards is another example. He denied, denied, denied and then bam, the facts came out and not only did he have an affair while his poor wife was dying of cancer, he fathered a child. He was eventually shunned by his party but not until the evidence was so overwhelming (and sleazy) that there was no way to deny it.

Jesse Jackson, the paragon of virtue, fathered a child with someone that was not his wife. He is still regarded as a spokesperson for the disadvantaged minorities in this country (or those who have been told so often they are disadvantaged that they act like it).

We are all human beings and we all make mistakes. These men suffered their issues in public because of who they are. The untold numbers of people in the same situations are unknown to all except their family and friends because they do not live in the public’s eye.

The problem arises when allegations such as those against McCain and Herman Cain are manufactured and people do not give them the benefit of the doubt because of politics. Clinton and Edwards deny it so it must be false. Cain denies it and he is lying…

Wouldn’t it be better if the NYT did not make up the McCain story?

Wouldn’t it be better if Cain received the same consideration Clinton and Edwards did when the left kept telling us nothing was going on? It has not been shown that Cain did anything wrong. If it turns out that he did then fine, skewer him and send him on his way.

The idea that he needs to be ruined over baseless accusations is one of the things wrong in our political system.

It would have been nice though, if the MSM had spent as much time vetting Obama as it does looking to destroy Republicans.

Certainly there were a few things in Obama’s past that were liabilities. Of course they are not a problem when the MSM is burying legitimate stories.

Then again, the left only lynches blacks who have strayed away from the Democrat plantation.

Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/no-one-likes-to-pay-more-taxes-even-liberals/.

For all the talk that we get from liberals about how it is patriotic to pay our “fair share” of taxes and how the wealthy need to step up and bear some more of the burden, there sure are enough of them who do what they can to avoid taxes. We already know that many liberals claim that they do not pay enough in taxes and that they believe they should be paying more. Bill Clinton has stated this several times but there is no indication that he ever sent a check to the Treasury to help retire the debt. Anyone can do it.

There was a group of liberal college professors (redundant alert) who decided that they were mad because the government extended the Bush tax cuts for everyone. They have started to give their money to charity and are encouraging the wealthy to donate so it can go to help the peeps. They seem to have discovered that the individual and private entities are better at charity than the government and, in a bit of irony, they also get a tax write off to avoid paying more of what they think the rich should be paying…

Now it looks like the city of New York is going after people who they think might be cheating on taxes. If a person lives in New York City for more than 183 days then that person must pay NYC taxes. Being in the city for any part of the day counts as a day. Many wealthy people who have business in the city and own a place to live there “claim” they are not in the city for 183 days thus avoiding the tax which is quite high. The taxing authority audits these folks to see and scours for parking violations and other evidence that the people were in the city just to make the folks pay their taxes. Of course, most of these people are in the city for 183 days or more but they lie to avoid the taxes.

Now those folks, which includes Alec Baldwin, will have to attest to the fact that they are not in the city more than 183 days and if they are caught in a lie they will be committing another crime. Yes, Alec Baldwin, the big time liberal tells New York that he is not in the city enough to pay the taxes. What with a place in the Hamptons and all…

Liberals love to talk about tax increases as long as those increases are put upon someone else and not them. Taxes are for the riff-raff and not the elite of the liberal establishment.

So typical of liberals, do as I say and not as I do.

Rush Limbaugh and Derek Jeter moved out of the city (Limbaugh out of the state) to keep from being harassed. Before people say Limbaugh was avoiding taxes, he was audited every year for more than a dozen and they never found he was in the city for more than the 183 days (he paid the proper amount of taxes). He spent most of his time in Florida so he just moved there completely. Seems like a lot of rich people are migrating to states where the taxes are lower (or there are no taxes at all).

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/vote-down-the-tax-and-spend-bill/.

The extension of the tax rates issue before Congress is heading toward critical mass because Democrats failed to address the issue prior to the election. Now it is up to the Lame Duck Congress to right the ship before tax increases take place next year. The problem is that the Democrats want to extend the rates only to the middle class while raising the tax rates for the wealthy (defined as those making more than $250,000 a year).

This is nothing more than classical class warfare. The Democrats will be the first to tell us that things were rosy when Bill Clinton was in office. Well, when he was in office the tax rates for everyone was higher. If they truly want to get back to what they perceived as a wonderful time then they should let the tax rates expire and raise taxes on everyone. Then the rates that supposedly brought us prosperity will once again be in place and we will have a wonderful life and Democrats can sing Happy Days Are Here Again.

Tax cuts increase revenue to the Treasury because people are able to keep more of what they earned with their blood, sweat and tears. They can keep the fruits of their labor and then spend the money and produce a vibrant economy. No nation has ever taxed itself to prosperity.

The issue here is nothing more than class warfare where Democrats pit the so called wealthy against the middle and lower classes. This is right out of the Democrat playbook and it is how they keep some members of society on their plantation. Stick with us folks and we will give you other people’s stuff. The unfortunate thing is that we have allowed people to grow up with an entitlement mentality. They feel they are entitled to the money of others. They even call the stuff they get entitlements even though they are forced redistribution of wealth.

The plan put forth is bad. It extends the tax rates (no cuts are made) for two years at which time this fight will reemerge. This is a short term and short sighted solution to the problem which will still leave doubt and uncertainty in the minds of the people who drive our economic machine.

To top it off, the deal comes with increased spending which will add to the deficit. Billions of dollars in spending is included in this plan and that is not good.

To further add insult to injury, the estate tax rate will increase by 35%. Currently, the rate is 0% so people who died (or will) this year were able to pass their wealth, wealth they have paid taxes on while it was being accumulated, without their heirs being socked with a huge tax bill. The deal will allow the government to take 35% of any estate over $5 million. This is a crime and should not be tolerated. What right does the government have to the money that a person accumulates for his heirs? NONE!

Smart planners do things before they die to keep this from happening but they should not have to do so. The government should not be taking this money. It was taxed at least once (and more likely several times) as it was accumulated. The government thinks it has the right to rape people after they are dead.

This deal is a bad deal and Republicans should not even be negotiating. They should tell Obama and the Democrats that the tax rates are to be extended permanently and that is the end of the story. Nothing added to the bill, no spending allowed, no add ons, no estate tax increases, no nothing.

If Obama does not like that then he should remember the words he used when he failed to negotiate with or include Republicans in his prior agenda, we won. It was Obama who made it clear that he was doing things the way he wanted because; “I won.” Well now we won and he will just have to deal with it.

Tax rates permanent or not at all. Let him and his Democrats face the public for allowing the rates to increase. They failed to do anything before the election and now they have to face the consequences of the last election and those consequences are, we won.

Remember, it was the Democrats who kept reminding us that elections have consequences so they would do well to remember that now.

As for the tax rates, they all get extended or none of them do.

If they all end up increasing then Democrats can look forward to the happy days they experienced under Bill Clinton. The old rates are his and Democrats think we did great under them so let’s raise them all.

Let us also keep in mind that Democrats always called the Bush tax cuts tax cuts for the rich. They have never acknowledged that the middle class got a tax cut. When they were running for office none of them ever said anything about the middle class. No, these were all tax cuts for the rich.

So let them expire because it will only affect the rich.

Funny though, the Democrats have always harped on how terrible the Bush tax cuts were but now Obama and Clinton (the co-presidents) are saying that this plan is what we need to stimulate the economy.

So once again, all or nothing. Let the rates go up. Obama will be a one term wonder and the country will be in the dumper and America will finally see what a failure Democrat economic policies really are.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/send-in-the-clown/.

Barack Obama is having a hard time selling the tax rate extension bill that is being worked on because all during the campaign he promised to roll back the rates on the wealthiest Americans. He made that promise dozens of times and his base took him at his word (fools) so they are quite upset that Obama has gone back on what he promised.

Obama called in Bill Clinton to help with the hard sell on the tax rate extension. Notice I did not write tax cut because there are no tax cuts, only a tax increase. While tax rates will remain the same (not cut) the tax on estates will rise 35% which is a sin. People pay taxes on the money they earn all their lives and then when they die the government taxes the money again as it is passed to heirs. A blatant assault on people.

I would say that Obama called in the cavalry but Clinton dodged the draft and Obama never served so if they saw a bunch of men in cavalry uniforms riding on horses they would think it was a remake of Brokeback Mountain. No, Obama called in the clown.

Clinton campaigned for his wife and he opposed a lot of what Obama said he would do if elected. Clinton and his wife were opposed to many of Obama’s ideas though they both think that the tax rates for the rich should increase. Democrats like to pay for things with other people’s money. Case in point, Hillary still has unpaid campaign debt two years removed from the election. She keeps sending out pleas for donations to retire the debt. They could write a check to retire the debt and never miss the money. Or, to take the tact of the liberals, they can afford it.

Clinton told fellow Democrats that this was a good deal and he told them that cutting Social Security taxes would stimulate job growth. Why is it that Democrats discuss the benefits of tax cuts like Republicans but fail to embrace that idea on a full time basis? For what its worth, I do not think it is smart to cut Social Security taxes.

The Democrats are touting this as a tax cut but it is not. It is an extension of the current rates that were cut a decade ago. If cutting the Social Security tax by 2% will stimulate job growth imagine what cutting the tax rates lower than they are now would do. They could cut the tax rates 2% across the board and cut corporate taxes in half and, provided they were not temporary measures, the jobs would begin to be created by those who actually create them.

This deal is a bad one and I hope the Democrats kill it. I think that Republicans gave up too much in order to pass the tax rate extension and they could have done much better. Remember, this is not a tax cut. It is only an extension of the current rates. If they expire there will be further economic downturn and a double dip recession. In order to stimulate growth the current rates need to be cut.

No society EVER taxed its way to prosperity.

As for the Bill Clintons of the world who think they do not pay enough in taxes, nothing is stopping them from paying more. This link is provided for those wealthy Americans who feel they do not pay enough in taxes and that higher taxes will pay off the debt. The link goes directly to the Treasury site dedicated to taking donations to retire the debt.

So Bill Clinton, Warren Buffet and all the other wealthy folks who think they should pay more should feel free to step up and put their money where their mouth is.

Of course, Clinton won’t write a check to pay off his wife’s campaign debt so what makes anyone think he actually wants to pay more to the government?

That clown wants others to pay more and that is why he wants tax rates for the wealthy to increase. He, like all truly wealthy people, will find a way to avoid paying the taxes.

The people who are only considered wealthy in the twisted minds of those in the Democrat party will end up paying more.

Of course, government could do what one innovative town has. Steal money from people.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/how-much-more-should-the-rich-pay/.

Joe Biden said that people who did not pay their fair share were unpatriotic. He told us it was time for everyone to pay their fair share. What he meant to say was that the wealthy, the ones who pay most of the federal taxes in this country, had to pay more while 47% of wage earners paid no federal taxes. I want to ensure that I point out that it is federal taxes because even though we discuss federal officials and their desire for more taxes to the federal government there are still people who are a little slow and will tell me that all wage earners pay Social Security or some moronic thing.

Anyway, Hillary Clinton is on the bandwagon again and she said the rich do not pay enough taxes. There are quite a few wealthy liberals who agree with her but strangely enough, none of them write checks to the government for the increase they think they should pay.

Make no mistake about this. Any citizen can write a check for any amount (that he can afford) to the Treasury in order to pay off the debt. If liberals think they should pay more in taxes then they can write a check to pay more. None of them do. You know that none of them do because if they did they would brag about it and it would run nonstop on the state run media. None of them have sent extra money and they all look for ways to reduce their tax burdens.

They want the rich to pay more but only the other rich people.

Clinton is a liberal moron (though she would have been better than Obama) and this is the creed that liberal morons live by. Tax the rich because even though they pay most of the federal taxes in this country they do not pay enough to satisfy the overlords in DC.

If you are a rich person and you agree with Clinton then take out your checkbook and write a hefty check to the Treasury. If you are a rich person who agrees with her and you do not do this then you are a hypocrite and need to stop calling for higher taxes because you really don’t want them.

If you are rich and don’t agree with Clinton then stop donating your money to any of the morons in DC. Especially ignore the requests of the liberals who want to raise your taxes.

It is time to stop feeding the beast.

And it is time for Hillary to write a big check to the Treasury.

As an aside, has she paid off her campaign debt yet? She is begging for others to pay her debt and she has over 100 million dollars in the bank. Isn’t amazing how she always wants to use someone else’s money?

Of course, her hubby made a deal with Obama to help with the cover-up of the Sestak bribe so maybe her debt will magically disappear.

Bill did not get involved for free…

Never surrender, never submit.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/and-so-the-cover-up-begins/.

Joe Sestak is running for the Senate Seat currently held by Arlen Specter. During the primary the White House offered Sestak a position in the regime to drop out of the race. Obama owed Specter his thirty pieces of silver for switching parties and this was one attempt to get competition out of the way. The only problem is that Sestak was having none of this and he blabbed that he was offered a position to drop out.

His story was consistent all along and he disclosed the information when he was not overly happy with the White House. In other words, he was not worried about protecting anyone. The White House has been saying that nothing happened, it was not illegal and that we should all move on. The people who said they would be most transparent are covering up a crime.

Look at how these pieces fell into place. Bill Clinton was in DC and happened to have lunch with Obama and the regime’s people made contact with Sestak’s campaign manager (who happens to be his brother). Then, miraculously, we learn that it was Bill Clinton who made the offer to Sestak and that the offer was for a non paid job so no crime here, nothing to see, move along.

Was Clinton in DC and was Sestak’s brother contacted so that the conspirators could get their stories straight. Did Clinton actually make the offer or is he taking the heat to keep it away from the White House? I can’t imagine him being that noble so look for him to get some ambassadorship or something similar in a few months. It is also interesting that Sestak is ratcheting back his previous assertions. What took place?

No matter what, the statement released by the White House is inadequate and only adds more fuel to the fire. There is the claim that Clinton contacted Sestak and a non paying job offer was discussed. That is illegal, paid or not. But put that aside and look at the rest. The memo released indicates that several contacts were made with Sestak and there is no explanation as to what took place during them.

The regime has dropped this information on a Friday before a three day weekend in hopes it would get buried but it will not. It looks like the Obama regime has been caught in a pay to play scheme that could land people in jail. There is a heck of a lot more evidence here to indicate that Obama and his people were involved in wrongdoing than there was in the Plame case as it related to George Bush so one would expect the MSM to be circling like sharks in bloody water just as they were during Plame.

But that will not happen because the MSM is full of Obama lap dogs who make excuses and cover up his criminal activity. If Obama were a Republican we would already have Woodward and Bernstein digging through the trash.

This whole affair (funny how we can once again use that word and Clinton in the same light) needs to be investigated by an independent party. We do not need a special prosecutor right now but we need someone outside the crime ring to be investigating. The entire investigation of this issue was conducted by White House lawyers under the direction of people working for the regime. They investigated themselves and expect us to think that they were honest and above board in doing so.

Sorry, that is not how things work.

For all you libs who think this is OK keep in mind that your leader and his Democrats in Congress are pushing for more control over the financial institutions. The claims are that the financial industry cannot have oversight over itself and requires monitoring from the outside. How can the same people who make these kinds of claims think it is OK for the White House to investigate itself in an issue with possible criminal activity?

Yeah, imagine if Bush would have said that the White House investigated the Plame issue and there was no wrongdoing. Do you supposed the MSM would have been OK with that?

There was criminal activity involving the Obama White House and it needs to be investigated.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/al-sharpton-ready-to-march-again/.

Al Sharpton, a guy they call reverend but who I have never seen leading a congregation in a church, is ready to go to Arizona to stand hand in hand with the Hispanic population that is upset by the new law that allows the police to verify that people are here legally. Al Sharpton will be out there rabble rousing and stirring up trouble. You know how it is, these left wing nut jobs go out and use hateful speech (inspired by the hateful speech of Obama) which causes the unstable people on the left to commit violence.

We have seen this with Sharpton before and people have died. He starts yelling about something and the nuts on the fringe left start killing. Bill Clinton described this last week when he was trying to paint the peaceful TEA Party group as potentially violent but Bill was wrong about the group. It is the left that commits the violence.

Sharpton is liable to go to Arizona and whip the illegals into a frenzy and they will commit acts of violence. We might get another Tim McVeigh in Arizona if the left is not careful.

I can understand why some folks are upset because they are rightly worried about how the law will impact those who are here legally and they claim racial profiling will take place. Of course this is wrong because Hispanic is not a race it is an ethnicity.

Be that as it may, the groups who are opposed to this have as much blame as anyone else in this matter. For years these advocacy groups have been working to hide illegals and to make it easier for them to get here and to stay here. These groups have been helping illegals break the law and they oppose any effort to get illegal immigration under control. If they had worked to keep illegals out and to help people come here legally we would not have a problem but since they assisted the illegals things have gotten steadily worse and the citizens of Arizona have said “enough”.

Arizona has decided to take matters in its own hands to fix a problem that has been ignored by the federal government and that has been exacerbated by the intrusion of advocacy groups who are as eager and willing to break the law as those who sneak across the borders. They are as much to blame and whining about what is taking place now will not garner them any sympathy.

People can see these groups for what they really are and what they really do.

But Sharpton will be happy to show up and rally for the illegals. Sharpton is not a stranger to breaking the law and he is not a stranger to inciting violence so this might be real interesting.

Be kind of funny if Sharpton showed up and huge crowds gathered and they engaged in civil disobedience. Things would get out of hand and stuff would get broken. Then the police would have to show up and make arrests.

The beauty of it is now that the law has been passed the cops will be able to check and see if the people Sharpton is there to stir up are here legally.

Sharpton might actually help rid the country of a large number of illegals.

But the folks in Arizona should be particularly vigilant because those left wing nut jobs get stirred into a violent frenzy really easy and Al Shapton will be there to whip them up.

Where is Bill Clinton to discuss this?

Is there a fat intern missing?

Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/mcveigh-the-new-slam-against-tea-party/.

The progressive forces have tried a number of tactics to demonize the TEA Party movement. The protesters, who have been peaceful and polite, have been called racists and homophobes, anti-American, unpatriotic and any number of other names that have not stuck because the facts do not match the claims. Now it looks like Timothy McVeigh will be the new slam against the TEA Party as progressive operatives equate what is going on as similar to what happened prior to McVeigh’s act of terror in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Bill Clinton and Rush Limbaugh have been going back and forth on this issue. The former president (it sounds great to say it that way) said that it is OK to have disagreements but that we had to watch what we say because it could ignite the fringe elements.

“There can be real consequences when what you say animates people who do things you would never do,” Mr. Clinton said in an interview, saying that Timothy McVeigh, who carried out the Oklahoma City bombing, and those who assisted him, “were profoundly alienated, disconnected people who bought into this militant antigovernment line.” Sweetness and Light

The reality is that McVeigh was not stirred to action because of what people said. McVeigh became disenchanted by the actions of the government. The Clinton massacre of the Branch Davidians at Waco Texas was the catalyst that caused McVeigh to act. There is no excuse for what he did but what he did was an act of revenge against the government for its actions at Waco. It was not because of what people said on talk radio or anywhere else.

But that has not stopped the progressives from equating the peaceful TEA Party protesters as homegrown terrorists ala McVeigh.

This is the latest attempt to demonize those who are exercising their First Amendment rights and who oppose the actions of government. Call them racists, call them unpatriotic and equate them to a domestic terrorist.

Be wary because the MSM is in the tank for the Obama regime and goes out of its way to make those who are opposed look like terrorists or guilty of treason or sedition. Every act of violence is made to look like a bunch of right wing kooks when this is often not the case. Recent militia raid, one Democrat and the rest unaffiliated. Turned in by one of the militia’s own members. Guy who flew plane into IRS offices, called right wing, undetermined but writings suggest progressive. Kook regardless.

Acts of violence will be assigned to the TEA Party and stories will be fabricated to demonize them. Keep in mind, it was union thugs and progressives who committed the violence against those who oppose Obama’s agenda. The violence stopped when people started carrying firearms (which were all carried legally).

Clinton is now the mouthpiece for Obama and he is equating hard working peaceful citizens to a domestic terrorist and rewriting the history of the massacre he caused and the monster he inspired.

Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/they-will-say-and-do-anything-to-takeover-health-care/.

Barack Obama and the Democrats are so entrenched in their desire to takeover our health care they will do anything to pass something, anything, and get it signed before the November elections. The Democrats believe that they know what is best for us and that once anything is passed we will learn to like it. They have gone so far as to consider parliamentary maneuvers in order to pass legislation that will takeover one-sixth of the US economy.

They have abandoned their past beliefs in order to push this albatross through. Barack Obama, a proud proponent of the public option, has abandoned that issue in order to get any bill passed. The abortion issue is causing distress among Democrats in the House and the general distrust the House has for the Senate is causing angst in the House as members are apprehensive about voting for a Senate bill that could then be signed into law without major differences being addressed. Part of this is because the Democrats are circumventing the system. If they did it correctly, the way in which it was intended, then they would not have to worry about being screwed.

There are also concerns about the Constitutionality of the bill. The bill requires everyone to purchase insurance. This is simply unconstitutional as our government has no right to force us to purchase a product. In fact, Obama was against the mandates when he was trying to beat Hillary Clinton for the nomination:

“The reason she thinks that there are more people covered under her plan than mine, is because of a mandate. It is not a mandate for the government to provide coverage to everybody. It is a mandate that every individual purchase health care. And the mailing that we put out accurately indicates that the main difference between Senator Clinton’s plan and mine is the fact that she would force, in some fashion, individuals to purchase health care ….” YouTube

Mandates were not good when Hillary was in favor of them. Now Obama is in favor of them. The Democrats will do and say anything and will change their positions just to get something passed. They wrongly believe that if they do not get this passed it will be bad for them.

The truth is the November elections will be bad for them no matter what but a majority of people are opposed to this plan and are opposed to the way the Democrats are pushing it through, despite what the Democrats say about it. It would have been better for Obama and the Democrats to take Republicans up on the offer to start over with a blank piece of paper and write a bill on which both sides could agree. This would have shown a true willingness to have bipartisan input and would have given Democrats a leg to stand on with the public.

Instead, they are pushing through something that most do not like and have added a few sprinklings of Republican ideas in order to give the appearance of bipartisanship.

Democrats could save seats that might otherwise be lost by cooperating with the minority party. Instead, they continue to give Republicans ammunition to use during the campaign season. Whether this passes or not, Republicans have ammo. If it passes they can claim that the Democrats rammed through unpopular legislation in order to push an agenda. If it does not pass, Republicans can claim they stopped the unpopular legislation from being rammed through.

If the Democrats had started over and Republicans continued to block the legislation then the Democrats could claim the moral high ground and say it does not matter how hard they try, the Republicans obstruct. If the negotiations went through the next election Democrats could claim they are making progress and need their majority to keep the process from being derailed.

Instead, they have painted themselves into a corner and will pay dearly in November.

Voters can see that Democrats are willing to do and say anything to ram through legislation that is opposed by a majority of people, albeit for different reasons.

November will be a bloodbath for Democrats and many from districts and states that are not blue will pay a heavy price for supporting legislation pushed by leaders in safe seats who have no worries about losing their jobs.

The leaders do not care because they will do anything to get this passed. They must in order to continue with their takeover of our lives.

Remember, America will only remain the land of the free so long as it remains the home of the brave.

And it will take a few brave Democrats to push back against this monstrosity.
