Two Steps Forward, Four Back…
Apr 10, 2011 Political
The federal government is patting itself on the back for the so called largest budget cuts in history and while Barack Obama is taking credit for the deal, the deal is not worth mentioning. Te Republicans were looking for 61 billion dollars in cuts and they got 38 billion. Democrats were looking for much less and were unwilling to waiver on cuts to the murder factory known as Planned Parenthood. While the government was busy haggling over a few billion dollars and ultimately cutting 38 billion, the debt jumped 54 billion dollars.
That is right, the entire deal was wiped out and 16 billion more in debt was added to the mix while they were busy debating the issue.
We absolutely need the largest cuts in history and they need to be a hell of a lot more than 38 billion or even 61 billion. Had republicans been successful in getting 61 billion they would have a net gain of 7 billion. This is no way to run a budget.
No entity can run deficits forever without failing and governments are no different. Our Founders realized this and preached the virtue of paying off the bills. They ran deficits but made paying them off a priority.
Now, of course, it is different. Our government is hell bent on providing everything to everyone and it has succeeded in creating a class of people who rely entirely on government to exist. These people cost us more and more because they contribute little or nothing to the equation. This is not the America our Founders envisioned.
People need to go out and work. They need to be productive members of society and realize that if they produce they will live better lives than by sitting around waiting for the government to deliver a check once a month.
Our government needs to recognize its limits, the limits placed on it by our Constitution, and it needs to live within those limits. That means providing the services for which we the people chartered it and nothing more.
Then, and only then, can we start to realize the prosperity our Founders dreamed of when they gave us the gift of freedom.
While freedom isn’t free, enslavement to the government costs a lot more than can be imagined in money, honor and dignity.

Once Again They Ignore Reality
Apr 9, 2011 Political
Nancy Pelosi had something to say about the anti net neutrality rule voted on in the House on Friday. She said she did not think it was going anywhere. Imagine how Pelosi would have reacted if the Republicans had said that even though the House voted for Obamacare it was not going anywhere and then they decided to ignore what took place. Republicans are using legal methods to defund and repeal the albatross. Pelosi and her cohorts just ignore laws, procedures and the will of the people.
They have ignored a judges’ ruling on drilling moratoriums and they have ignored the ruling that Obamacare is unconstitutional. Here is how Pelosi sees it:
“No one should be guarding the gate on the Internet,” Pelosi said. She said despite the House vote, the resolution isn’t likely to gain support in the Senate. “I don’t think this bill is going anyplace,” Pelosi predicted. National Journal
Funny, but politicians want to give Barry Obama an Internet kill switch and they want the government to be able to control the Internet, reportedly in the event of an emergency. However, her tune changes when she says that no one should be guarding the internet.
As far as I am concerned, companies provide access to the Internet and people pay for it (which might be considered guarding it by some). If those companies want to restrict certain access or control what goes on over their networks then it is their business.
The last thing we need is government intervention in the use of the Internet and we certainly do not need politicians controlling the Internet via kill switches or anything else.
I know that the Internet provides instant information (a lot of it wrong) and that does not bode well for people like Obama, Pelosi, Reid (and most other politicians) who like to say one thing at one event and a totally different thing at another. A hundred years ago communications were slow and these things were attributed to misquotes or miscommunication.
Today we have them in their own words and we can use those words against them. They do not like it one bit.
To control the people the government controls things like their health care and their communications.
What better way to get us closer to Socialism than to stifle messages they do not like. Remember, if government can decide how the Internet operates then it can decide what is on it and who can post to it. It can also decide who can access it.
Very dangerous indeed.
Pelosi is a moron.

Never surrender, never submit.

Those Environmentally Friendly Liberals
Apr 8, 2011 Political
There is a Facebook Event posting indicating that if the government shuts down and there is no trash service that people should dump their trash on Speaker Boehner’s lawn. Now that is just classy but so typical of liberals.
This is no grassroots item from people who are fed up with government. It is being organized by people who have connections to the DNC:
Goodman is listed in the Democratic National Committee network. Treadway is the political and logistics director for the liberal group Netroots Nation. CNN
This is not some way of saying that they are disgusted with the whole process. It is a concentrated effort to place blame for the shutdown (if it occurs) on the Republicans. If it were a protest over the whole issue then these folks would also be throwing their trash on Harry Reid’s and Nancy Pelosi’s lawn. They might even consider throwing it on the White House lawn.
If they actually wanted to hold those who are to blame responsible then the issue would be with the Democrats. They had majorities in both chambers of Congress and FAILED to pass a budget. They decided to ignore the issue because of the election and then did not take it up after they got their heads handed to them in November. I am sure they decided to put the onus on Republicans but make no mistake, the Democrats failed to fulfill their Constitutional duty and pass a budget.
The event indicates that even if there is no shutdown they will continue with plans to dump their trash. Further proof that this is not about being upset over the process and more about partisan posturing.
Can you imagine the names that people like Chrissie Matthews would be calling Tea Party members if they organized something like this against Democrats?
Also, how environmentally friendly are these liberals? We already know they care little about Mother Nature from seeing how they leave the places where they protest.
I wonder if the police will be around to arrest these people for illegal dumping…
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Funny How Obama’s Tune Changed
Apr 7, 2011 Political
Barack Obama took office as a wet behind the ears rookie with so little experience and so many words that calling him an empty suit was an insult to empty suits. He showed up with his bird chest pumped out ready to take on the world. He had majorities in both chambers of Congress and things were going to be his way. He thought so because he believed the hype about himself. It is a good thing (for him) that he did not try to walk on water.
Believing and doing are two different things.
After taking office Obama was challenged by a Republican on the contents of a package and Obama’s response as to why it would be a certain way; “I won.” To interpret that for you, Obama said it is my way or the highway.
After two years of driving us over the cliff and advancing toward Socialism the American public had enough of this upstart and his sock puppets in Congress and they sent him a very clear message. Obama and his Democrats lost a lot of seats in a historical midterm election that changed the balance of power. Now that Obama does not have majorities all over government, majorities that blamed its failures on Republicans, he has a slightly different tune. In a speech today he told the audience that Republicans cannot have it their way and that this is not how it works.
“At a time when you are struggling to pay your bills and meet your responsibilities, the least we can do to meet our responsibilities is produce a budget. That is not too much to ask for. That is what the American people expect of us, that’s what they deserve. You want everybody to act like adults, quit playing games and realize it is not my way or the highway,” President Obama said in Pennsylvania before he is set to hold a fundraiser tonight. Real Clear Politics
Perhaps an appropriate GOP response to Mr. Obama would be; “we won.”
You see, this is how Democrats work. When they are in charge then things have to go their way and they do not care about anyone or anything. The last Congress made that clear when it passed Obamacare, the unconstitutional law, over the wishes of the majority of Americans. They wanted it and they did not want to hear any other opinion. To them, it was their way or the highway. Democrats went against the will of the people while ignoring the jobs situation and suffering a net job loss over that period of time.
As soon as Democrats lose though, they want to talk about bipartisan compromise and working together. They start whining like a room full of Chuck Schumers about how the other side is not playing nice, blah, blah. They did not want to play nice when they had control and they said, on a number of occasions, we won and it is our way or the highway.
Now they have to eat humble pie and suck it up because, to be quite frank, we won and it is our way or the highway.
America is on a path to financial ruin which has been a long time coming but has been accelerated by a man who has spent more money in two years than all the presidents from Washington to Reagan combined!
[I stated this incorrectly. It should read:
In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan. CNS
I regret the error]
Now the adults are in charge because THEY WON and it is time for the Democrats to step aside and let them get down to the business of bringing fiscal sanity back to our country.
It is also important to remember, particularly as all the Democrats are out screaming about a government shut down and troops not getting paid, that the Democrats are entirely responsible for this. They had the majorities when the 2011 budget was due and they punted the ball. They refused to pass a budget because they were afraid to do anything prior to the election. If they had done their duty and passed a budget we would not be having this discussion right now and the Congress could be working on other important things.
To the victor goes the spoils and while Obama does not espouse that attitude now he certainly did back when he was still messianic.
Fortunately, he does not get to dictate how the game is played. It works how we want it to work because:
WE WON
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Democrat’s Strategy; LIE!
Mar 30, 2011 Political
The Democrats are in full court press mode as the budget battle heads toward the next round of attempting to get a budget in order. Chuck Schumer, the whiny liberal Senator, was caught on a conference call instructing fellow Democrats to use the word extreme while describing the Republican’s cuts and to tell the press that was supposed to join the call that Republicans were refusing to negotiate. The problem is that the reporters were already on the line and heard Schumer instructing his colleagues to lie about what is going on.
Evidently, the Democrats had a liberal focus group and when they said Republican’s budget cuts are extreme the wimpy liberals wet their pink panties so Democrats are now using that term. Harry Reid used it as well during the day because that is the new plan.
The Democrat who takes the cake is the moron from Maryland, Steny Hoyer. Hoyer, who calls the Tea Party Caucus the perfectionist caucus, said that Democrats will not be to blame if the government shuts down (which it never really does) and he made the amazing claim that this would not be a problem if Democrats were in charge:
“It’s self-evident we don’t control Washington, or we wouldn’t be having this problem,” Hoyer said, arguing that Democrats would not be to blame if the government shuts down. FOX News
This is amazing because the reason we have the problem is that Democrats WERE in charge. Yes Mr. Hoyer, the problem we are now facing over not having a budget is because you and your fellow Democrats failed to exercise your Constitutional duties and pass a budget last year. You were too cowardly to pass a budget prior to the election and this is why we have a problem.
If you had done your job then we would have a budget in place and would not be wasting time trying to get one passed nearly a half year after it was due.
In other words Steny, you are full of crap. We certainly would have this problem if you were in charge because that is why we have the problem.
It is amazing to me that this moron would make such an obviously stupid (and false) statement but then again Democrats are full of people who make stupid and false statements.
You did not do you job Mr. Hoyer and that is one of the reasons you and your party took a first class beating in the last election.
As for calling the Tea Party Caucus the perfectionist caucus, perhaps if we had more people trying to achieve perfection and fewer trying to rape the taxpaying public we would not be in such bad shape.
I would rather be part of the perfectionist party than be part of the dumb ass party and that sir, is where you reside.
Time is running out and if the government shuts down it will be the sole responsibility of the Democrats for failing to pass a budget when they were suposed to.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender,never submit.
