Here is proof that some people have too much time on their hands. A man memorized pi (the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle which results in a non-repeating decimal) to 83,431 decimal places. This beats his own record of 54,000 places. We now have computers to do this sort of thing and I can not imagine that he can hold anyone’s attention long enough to impress them with this feat. Is it amazing? Yes! Is it pointless? You betcha.
