Senator Boxer is Delusional

I remember seeing the snippets of Condi Rice’s confirmation hearing last week. I saw Barbara Boxer call Rice a liar, but not use the word, a trick she learned from John Kerry. Now, Boxer is claiming that Rice “turned and attacked me.” I do not know what planet this woman is from but it is not Earth. From the looks of things, Venus is out of the question too. This was the statement made by Boxer.

“I personally believe — this is my personal view — that your loyalty to the mission you were given, to sell this war, overwhelmed your respect for the truth,”

Call me crazy, but this sure sounds like Boxer said Rice’s dedication to the mission made her lie about it. Dr. Rice was very poised despite this unfounded and cheap attack on her character. She replied this way.

“And I would hope that we can have this conversation and discuss what happened before and what went on before and what I said without impugning my credibility or my integrity,”

What did she say after being attacked? She said we can talk about this but I hope you will do so without calling me a liar. I think Boxer has been in the mushrooms or something. She probably has a few party favors left over from the Clinton White House. Maybe she and Uncle Teddy went out for a hundred martini lunch. In any event this woman is off base. She said Rice’s tactic was a good debating technique. When you don’t know the answer attack the person asking it. WTF, over?

Senator Babs needs to look in the mirror. She pulled a favorite trick of the left. When you can not come up with a good argument, make up lies about the people to whom you are talking and attack their character. Character attacks are a favorite of the left and Boxer is getting better at it. She is obviously frustrated that Bush won and Kerry lost. She and a few others seem determined to make it hard on the President. They should be careful or they could have some trouble. They might hide all the scotch and watch Ted Kennedy go nuts (more so than he is). He might end up killing somebody (again) by the time it is over.
