I think some of you have skirted on the core issue here and have yet to come right out and say it. The real issue is not gun control at all. That is about as possible as squeezing water in your hand. Those who want guns will get guns. They are everywhere. The real issue is a question of what lies in the heart and mind of the one with the gun. When that which is inside a person is in need of care then no law will inhibit them. The hard questions are all being avoided... how do we raise our children so they DO NOT want to kill? How do we help the adults that are so angry that they DO want to kill? If we were to find the answers to these questions the laws would become a mute point. You got Robert. While a portion of my county lives n poverty and some of them are on gubmint assistance, there is also respect for other people. Very few would be part of the gimme culture.

As a side note, the county is about 70% Republican…

Ok BD I am going to play devils advocate here:

Now do you live in one of those counties where personal responsibility is placed at a high value?

Do you live where folks tend to say hi to strangers and open the door for ladies?

Is a large part of your county on Gubmit assistance?

Is there a gimme culture anywhere near you?

Then dang it BD, How can you compare the two?
