Ray Nagin Says New Orleans Better Prepared

Nagin has just informed us that he was one of the reasons the disaster was so terrible. He admitted that he did not use the buses and his reluctance to order the evacuation left people behind.
In an interview with the Associated Press Tuesday, Nagin said New Orleans is better prepared for the upcoming hurricane season because of stronger flood walls and better evacuation plans after Hurricane Katrina.
I guess they are better prepared and would stand a better chance if there were another hurricane, they now have fewer people to evacuate. Nagin had his problems solved by the first hurricane. He was unable to get people out of the city because there were nearly half a million of them and his plans called for leaving about a third of them behind. Now that there are only around 170 thousand people who have returned he should have an easier time evacuating them.
Perhaps the people of New Orleans should think about evacuating Nagin from the Mayor’s office when April rolls around.
