Prayer Request For A Soldier

This item was over at The Path Less Traveled. A young soldier was shot in the head and is in grave condition. His mother is asking for prayers for her son. I agree with Ben who posted the item, no matter what you feel about the war this is a family in need and a family that is hurting. Please keep Chad and his family in your prayers. Here is Chad’s mother’s request (from Ben’s post):

My son has been shot in Falujah. I wanted to get everyone to pray for my son Chad. Today Sunday, I got a call from the Army that my son had been shot in the head. I am asking for all your prayers. He was in a Humvee going through Falujah fighting and a gang of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad in the head. The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad. He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical. His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then on to Germany as soon as the military calls us to go. The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave. Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and that he will be restored and healed by the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God. I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be many prayer warriors praying for him. Thank you so much and I will try to keep you updated on his condition.

Thanks for taking the time to ask God to heal this young soldier.

This is quite old news, which is still making the rounds on the net by e-mail. Chad was injured in November of 2004, Soldiers’ Angels helped the mother find her track her son’s progress at Landstuhl until he was moved to Walter Reed where the mother could meet him. Info at Iraq War Today and this one is even on Snopes urban legends page. Spread the word.

Thanks for filling me in. I thought I had read his story but then I figured there is more than one person named Chad and more than one soldier gets shot so maybe it was another guy.

    Anyway, more prayers can’t hurt….
