Performers Think Hillary Should Run

Sharon Stone and Madonna think that Hillary Clinton should go for it with regard to a run at the White House:

I THINK Hillary Clinton is fantastic. But I think it is too soon for her to run. This may sound odd, but a woman should be past her sexuality when she runs. Hillary still has sexual power and I don’t think people will accept that. It’s too threatening.”

“Hillary should go for it. I don’t think now is necessarily her time, or the Democrats’ time, but she should certainly go for it. You’ve got to start somewhere, in terms of a woman leading the U.S. In Europe and Asia and elsewhere, women have ruled over millions, it’s not an abstract concept. But in America, men are still afraid. And I don’t think women are too comfortable with the idea of a female in charge. I find that really amazing.”

Stone thinks a woman who still exudes sexuality (as she claims Clinton does) should not run. She needs to be past her sexuality.

BIG DOG QUESTION: Did Hillary Clinton ever have anything close to sexuality?

Madonna says that America, especially women, are not ready for a female President. I do not think that is correct. Americans are ready for a female President and there are many very qualified women who would do a great job as leader of our country. What scares people is the thought that Hillary might not be the right one. The first woman will set a precedent. If she is terrible the public will lose trust in having a female as President and it will be a long time before another one gets voted in. Conservative or liberal, the first woman needs to be more in tune with Americans and Hillary is just not there. Does not Madonna live in Europe? Why should she have a say in this issue if she does not even want to live here.

One Response to “Performers Think Hillary Should Run”

  1. N. Mallory says:

I just can’t decide whether to laugh or cry any time someone brings up Hillary running for President in 2008. She seems to be the one candidate that both parties are afraid will run. If anyone were actually paying attention to the grassroots Democrats they’d realize that normal people loathe her. It really has little to do with Bill. She’s just so phony. I think she had a better chance back in 2000 than she has now that people have lost their sympathy over the Monica thing for her.

That latest thing last week with the quoting scripture regarding the immigration laws was just too much for the liberals. I nearly sprained my eyes when they rolled back.

Oy. I think she’s starting to get enough on my nerves to be worth blogging about.
