Perez Hilton Gets Punched Over Gay Slur
by Big Dog on Jun 22, 2009 at 21:01 Posted in Political 5 Comments
I have used the word faggot here and have been called a number of names by the liberals who comment. Perez Hilton used that word to describe a singer named Wil.i.am after the singer told Hilton not to write about his music on his [Hilton's] website. A manager socked Hilton in the face.
Since Hilton is gay I assume he figured it was OK to use that word much like it is OK for blacks to use the N word but anyone else who does is a racist.
Most normal people who were assaulted and needed either the police or medical attention (it is not clear if Hilton needed medical attention) would call an emergency number either 911 or which ever is in use where they happen to be.
Hilton decided to Twitter about the incident:
Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, complained about the incident on the microblogging site Twitter. He tweeted at 4 a.m.: “I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.” Breitbart
If this moron needed the police then why did he Twitter instead of calling them? He was Tweeting to people that he was bleeding and he seriously needed the police. Here is a clue for the moron, stop Tweeting and call the police. What did he think would happen after he Tweeted? Did he think that the people on Twitter from all over the world would know where he was and call the police for him?
He kept from getting his rear end kicked by Carrie Prejean by calling her a “bitch” on a video at his website instead of to her face. He must have been worried that she would have slapped him around. He evidently did not keep that thought in mind when he insulted a man face to face.
Evidently Hilton was not struck hard enough because he used Twitter. He should have been hit so hard that when he awakened it was a new decade.
Then we could have read Tweets about him being in a coma.

Government Healthcare- Yeah, That’s The Ticket
by Blake on Jun 21, 2009 at 08:25 Posted in Political 15 Comments
Hussein wants everybody to get healthcare, and to that end he is willing to tax you to death, no matter how much money you make, in contravention of his promises- but then, who really believes this serial liar ever tells the truth?
All of this trouble for healthcare just like the VA- oh joy! There are some who tout the VA as a much improved healthcare facility, and that the level of care has improved so much that it rivals private care. Oh really?
For patients with prostate cancer, it is a common surgical procedure: a doctor implants dozens of radioactive seeds to attack the disease. But when Dr. Gary D. Kao treated one patient at the veterans’ hospital in Philadelphia, his aim was more than a little off.
Most of the seeds, 40 in all, landed in the patient’s healthy bladder, not the prostate.
It was a serious mistake, and under federal rules, regulators investigated. But Dr. Kao, with their consent, made his mistake all but disappear.
He simply rewrote his surgical plan to match the number of seeds in the prostate, investigators said.
The revision may have made Dr. Kao look better, but it did nothing for the patient, who had to undergo a second implant. It failed, too, resulting in an unintended dose to the rectum. Regulators knew nothing of this second mistake because no one reported it.

This is just one example of a VA mistake, and I am not saying all VA doctors or procedures are so horribly flawed, but there are enough of them to fill a portfolio, even just at this one hospital.
Two years later, in 2005, Dr. Kao rewrote another surgical plan after putting half the seeds in the wrong organ. Once again, regulators did not object.
Had the government responded more aggressively, it might have uncovered a rogue cancer unit at the hospital, one that operated with virtually no outside scrutiny and botched 92 of 116 cancer treatments over a span of more than six years — and then kept quiet about it, according to interviews with investigators, government officials and public records.
The team continued implants for a year even though the equipment that measured whether patients received the proper radiation dose was broken. The radiation safety committee at the Veterans Affairs hospital knew of this problem but took no action, records show.
nytimes.com
One has to wonder- the hospital did nothing to correct the damage, nor did they discipline the Doctor- they didn’t even fix the machine that would have regulated the radiation dosage. That’s malpractice on a grand scale, but then they are the government and they are here to help, right?
The 92 implant errors resulted from a systemwide failure in which none of the safeguards that were supposed to protect veterans from poor medical care worked, an examination by The New York Times has found.
Peer review, a staple of every good hospital, in which colleagues examine one another’s work, did not exist in the unit. The V.A.’s radiation safety program; the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which regulates the use of all nuclear materials; and the Joint Commission, a group that accredited the hospital, all failed to intervene; either their inspections had been limited or they had not acted decisively upon finding problems.
Over all, the implant program lacked a “safety culture,” the nuclear commission found. Dr. Kao and other members of his team, the commission said, were not properly supervised or trained in what constitutes a substandard implant and the need to report it. Dr. Kao declined to comment for this article.
Virtually none of the substandard implants in Philadelphia were reported to the nuclear commission, meaning errors went uninvestigated for weeks, months and sometimes years. During that time, many patients did not know that their cancer treatments were flawed.
nytimes.com
There should have been a peer review, but this being a government- run facility, the “peer review” was the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
But the chief regulator is the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Serious accidents involving radioactive materials must be reported to that agency, which has the power to investigate and levy fines. Congress receives an annual list of those accidents.
After learning of Dr. Kao’s error, V.A. officials thought that because he had revised his surgical plan while still in the operating room, the mistake did not exist. The nuclear commission agreed, on the ground that doctors needed freedom to revise their surgical plan depending on what they found during surgery.
Yet this case did not involve a new diagnostic interpretation: it was an implant mistake, causing the patient to return for another procedure.

It constantly amazes me when left wing morons claim that government really works well, and that government healthcare will improve our lives. How? By implanting radioactive pellets everywhere but where they might actually do some good? By cutting off the wrong appendage? All of you people who might be concerned about that should know that the government is rarely able to be sued- it likes to wrap itself in the flag of “Immunity” from lawsuits, and I am sure that this would continue to be the case as we go forward.
But I guess that all the C- med students have to practice somewhere, I just think that our service men and women deserve more from our government than that.
Heck, the rest of us deserve more than this, come to think of it.
Just say no to government healthcare.

Watch For The Insidious Tax Increases
by Big Dog on Jun 20, 2009 at 23:59 Posted in Political 39 Comments
The Democrats are working on a health care plan for Obama who wants it done this year. They want this done very quickly because the longer they mess with it the longer the American public has to see what it really involves. Once people start kicking the tires and looking under the hood they will not like what they see.
Republicans have been shut out of the process and Democrats have reported they were told NOT to work with Republicans on this issue.
This is all on the Democrats and what they will do is triple even what Obama wanted to spend and they will raise taxes on everyone. The Democrats are not willing to say this and they are trying to hide it until they can push this through because they know higher taxes are not popular. Like Carlie Rangel said, they want to get the particulars out but not the taxes so people become happy with the plan. Then they will mention the taxes. They don’t want any negative press on it.
The Democrats are looking at a number of ways to tax YOU. They will tax everyone. Here are some things under consideration (this is not all inclusive):
The tax options include:
- Increasing the price of soda and other sugary drinks by 10 cents a can.
- Applying a potential 2 percent income tax increase to single taxpayers earning more than $200,000 a year and households earning more than $250,000.
- A new employer payroll tax could target 3 percent of employers’ health care expenditures.
- Taxing employer-provided health insurance benefits above certain levels – a less likely option but one that still is in the running. My Way News
The second item is specific to people who make certain incomes and that would be about the upper 3%. There are not enough wage earners in this category to pay for the cost of health care.
The other three items involve everyone. If you consume cola or other sugary drinks, you would be affected. If you have employer provided health insurance you might have to pay taxes on 3% of it or on all of it. The government will require it to be reported as income and then tax you. You will pay taxes on your health care benefit in order to pay for someone else’s health care. Incidentally, this will cause many employers to drop health care for their employees and force employees into Obamacare, just like he wants.
Obama said he would not raise taxes on those making under certain levels (that number changed several times) but it looks like his Democrats are working on methods of taxing nearly everyone.
The article discusses the different taxing schemes and the dishonesty of the Democrats. Remember, Rangel said that they did not want to disclose the taxes because they would get negative attention. This article shows they are still intent on keeping quiet about the huge tax increases:
The draft, being released at a news conference of the chairmen of the three committees with jurisdiction – Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, and Education and Labor – was not expected to mention the potentially unpopular tax options. [emphasis mine]
The Democrats are well on their way to outspending the last 8 years and they will do so in record time. In order to do that they need to obtain money so the question they will be asking is; “What’s in your wallet?”

Obama’s Law Breaking Is Political Courage
by Big Dog on Jun 19, 2009 at 15:50 Posted in Political 99 Comments
When George Bush fired some US Attorneys, all done in accordance with the law (they serve at his pleasure), he was soundly thrashed in the media. He was accused of protecting people who were being investigated and of firing those who did not hold the same opinions as he. The left had investigations and issued subpoenas. They made a federal case out of it, so to speak.
Obama has fired an inspector general who was investigating wrongdoing by one of his supporters (a friend of his wife) and has reportedly fired two others with whom his ideas were at odds. Obama did not follow the law that he cosponsored with regard to the firings. In other words, he broke the law by not following procedures. One of the attorneys involved said that the firings were acts of political courage:
“But [Eisen] said that what they did [the firing] in trying to fix the situation was an act of political courage — and ‘political courage’ is the phrase they used,” says the aide. Washington Examiner
George Bush fires attorneys who work at his pleasure and did so in accordance with the law and the left made him out to be a villain. He was doing something corrupt and wrong according to them.
Obama breaks the law in firing at least one, and probably three, inspectors general and he was courageous. This is sheer hypocrisy and the media has given it very little play. ABC is probably preparing for the Obama Infomercial and the others are too busy enjoying the tingles up their legs to actually report on this.
The statists and other Obama apologists will claim he did nothing wrong, but again I point out, he broke the law when he fired them. They will find excuses to exonerate their messiah.

McCain To The Rescue
by Big Dog on Jun 19, 2009 at 14:48 Posted in Political 40 Comments
During the campaign Barack Obama told us how his limited experience made him a better choice as Commander in Chief than John McCain, a decorated veteran. Of course there were many variables in the election and John McCain was not the ideal candidate. He was the wishy-washy middle of the road Republican that Colin Powell says we need. Of course, Powell endorsed and voted for Obama. I can only conclude that race was the deciding factor.
Now that the Community Organizer in Chief has been in office for a while the world is able to see how weak kneed he is. The Muslim world is thumbing their collective noses at him and North Korea is launching missiles and testing nuclear devices. Obama said that his strategy was to just talk with these people because that would bring us all together. He is an organizer of the world community.
The only problem is that no one is listening. North Korea is now preparing to launch a missile at Hawaii. The missile is reportedly unable to reach Hawaii but just aiming it at us and firing it is an act of war. North Korea also has a cargo ship moving around and experts believe it has weapons and other materials banned under UN resolution.
The Navy Destroyer USS John McCain is preparing to intercept that vessel in what North Korea will certainly see as an aggressive act. It is unclear what the ship will do once it intercepts but Lil Kim will not be happy no matter what it does. Fortunately, the McCain is manned by people from the finest Navy in the world.
Will this escalate into war? Will it provoke Lil Kim and will we need to retaliate (if Obama even has the testicular fortitude to do so)?
These things remain to be seen but I find it ironic that the McCain is working on unscrewing the mess Obama has made of things.
