The race for Washington State Governor has been going through Floridaesque recounts for nearly two months. The republican candidate won the original vote and the machine recount. The democrat won the hand recount. But wait, there’s more.

Washington law states that only votes cast during the original election are to be recounted. Amazingly, the democrats “found” a bunch of ballots that were not counted for one reason or another. They were either ruled invalid or there was an error on them. Some of them might not have been counted by mistake and some of them might not have existed until after the election. In any case, they should not be a part of the recount because they were not part of the original vote.

That is, until a judge ruled that those ballots may be counted as part of the recount. The judge rewrote Washington State law from the bench. This should not surprise anyone who reads the various conservative sites because we have been pointing out activist judges who are doing the same thing around the country. Be that as it may, as soon as the mysterious ballots were allowed the democrat went ahead. She has faith in the process. Of course, her idea of the process is to keep counting and adding ballots until she gets the outcome she desires. The democrat’s position is that an election is only fair when they win, no matter how they do it.

The republican party is looking at options. As well they should. Despite the donks requests for concession the republicans need to fight to have this newly enacted “judge” law enforced across the board. The GOP needs to find all the rejected republican ballots and have them counted. It is unfortunate that we would have to do this but we would only be following the law their judge established. I think it would be especially important to get all the denied military ballots. Democrats love to exclude the military because the military members vote mostly for republicans. Regardless of the donk’s chants of supporting our troops, they do not want our troops supported when they vote because it does not bode well for them and they know it.

I am sure the GOP can find enough ballots that were rejected under similar circumstances as the democrat ballots. They should be counted and then the winner declared. When this happens listen carefully to the donks. You will hear them cry about counting ballots that are not legal. You will hear them cry foul. You will hear them go against exactly what they used to pull ahead. Their idea a a fair playing field is when they make the rules and only they benefit from them. I say screw them. Either discount the mystery ballots or count all others. They can not have it both ways.

It is amazing that the people like Mike Hersh, Lost Adam and Michael Moore are not out denouncing the donk’s actions in Washington where the actions are suspicious yet they are crying about the Ohio presidential elections where Bush won by more than 100k votes. Only in donk dream world can these two items exist and be viewed so differently.

I don’t live in Washington so from a personal stand point I don’t really give a rodent’s rear what happens. But as an American I worry about the way our society has declined with regard to the election process. If the democrat wins, will the donks view her as an illegitimate Governor. Probably not. Those accolades are only given to Republican Presidents who win all the counts and recounts….

The unfortunate thing about war is that you have to go away and fight against people who desperately want to kill you. The men and women of today’s armed forces are some of the greatest warriors this nation has ever produced. They are all volunteer and most of them perform admirably. As if it isn’t bad enough that soldiers get sent to places where people want to see them dead, soldiers at home face enemies who tear the fabric of their being to shreds. I am talking about judges who do not look out for them.

There is a national guard soldier from Texas named John Wertz. He divorced his first wife in the 90s and was awarded custody of their then three year old son. John remarried and his new wife has taken care of John’s son as if he were her own. Now John has orders to go to Iraq. He has already pulled duty as an airport guard and was deployed to Korea. Sometime after the first of the year he will deploy to Iraq to fight in the GWOT. John was reassigned to a base in California where his son and wife would stay while he is defending America. John’s ex wife did not like this idea so she filed to have the custody arrangement reviewed.

A judge in Texas ruled that John must give up custody of his son to the boy’s biological mother. When John comes back from Iraq they will revisit the custody issue. This tells me that getting his son back is not a sure thing for poor John. But this stinks from all angles. John’s wife has been taking care of the boy for years. The judge did not take this in to account when he made the ruling. The reason for his decision was that it California is a long way from his biological mother. So let’s turn this kid’s world upside down and disrupt the life to which he has become accustomed. Who cares about the boy anyway? After all, he is just some property that can be tossed around.

Top it off by tearing John’s world apart just before he leaves for duty where he needs his mind focused 100% on the war. He does not need to be distracted by the major upheaval caused by this judge and John’s former wife. I think that it is totally unreasonable to do this to a man who has more than done his part to protect this country. He is now going to do even more and he gets screwed right here at home. He is defending this country while this country lets him down. We have all these congressmen and other politicians ranting and raving about how we must support the troops. They love to tell us how Bush is not taking care of the troops. They love it even more when they can bash Don Rumsfeld for their perception that he is not providing the troops with what they need. I don’t hear these same politicians crying out about the great injustice done to this soldier and his family. I guess they only speak up when they can get good air time out of it.

This judge should be taken off the bench. He should probably be horse whipped and then dragged through the streets until he is bloody and bruised. He is a disgrace to the judicial system and he has screwed this soldier good. Perhaps this robe wearing fraud would like to trade in his powdered wig and accompany John Wertz to Iraq. I don’t think this judge would have the guts to do a real man’s work so he screws those whose bravery he envies.

I feel badly for John Wertz, his son, and his wife (current, not ex). It is a shame that three days after the holiest holiday of the year John will have to take his son to Texas to live with a woman who has allowed her desires to screw her son and ex husband. I know that it is bad for John and things probably can’t get much worse but I would not be surprised if this idiot judge made him start paying his ex wife child support, just to add some insult to injury.

A man was on a flight and decided to play a joke on his wife. He sent her a text message indicating that the plane was being hijacked by terrorists and that they were being taken to an unknown destination.

Of course, she contacts the police and they contact the airline. The airline made contact with the pilot who assured them that they were not being hijacked. The police were able to determine that this was a prank. They detained the man when the plane landed and then let him go.

What kind of idiot, especially after 9/11, would do such a stupid thing? Why would anyone play this kind of a joke on someone he supposedly loves? Why would this idiot play a joke that is sure to get a great deal of attention from law enforcement officials? This man needs to be taken out behind a hangar and shot. This is the kind of lunacy that causes delays, disrupts airline schedules, and gets law enforcement all worked up. I have a novel idea for this idiot. The next time you are on an airplane, if they ever let you back on, and you want to send your wife a text message try this:

I LOVE YOU.

It is a meaningful gesture that will not involve the police, will not disrupt air travel, will not cause you to be delayed by said police, and most importantly, it will not cause your wife any grief. They are talking about allowing cell phone use on air planes. That in and of itself would be the most annoying thing in the world and will probably lead to more air rage. This incident is just one more good reason to make people turn the damn things off and leave them that way until well after the plane has landed.

This weekend Saturday Night Live had an animated feature that depicted Rush Limbaugh overdosing on drugs and vomiting all over the place. This story, from Drudge relates that some of the backstage personnel were not happy with this. The source of this information did not want to be identified because of fear that Lorne Michaels would retaliate. I guess there is no whistleblower protection at SNL.

Why do you suppose SNL would pick on Rush Limbaugh? I know he admitted to an addiction to pain medication. This kind of thing happens and he sought and received treatment. Unlike many SNL alumni who routinely used illegal drugs for recreation, Mr. Limbaugh became addicted to prescribed medication. Many of the SNL skits involved drug use. Who can forget the Coneheads smoking marijuana? Chevy Chase got high before many shows. The brain damage is evident in the stupidity that comes out of his mouth every time he opens it. And how about the great legacy of people like john Belushi and Chris Farley? They both died of drug overdoses. What did they have in common? Oh yea, they were both on SNL. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate if they had animated those two and showed them dying from their addictions.

I do not watch SNL any more. In part because I have trouble staying awake for the entire show but mainly because it is no longer funny. I could tape it and view it when it is more convenient but why bother? The show is boring and stupid. They have not had humor for a very long time. Lorne Michaels is a has been and by allowing this animation he has stooped to a new low. Perhaps the TV Gods will do us a favor and the show will be cancelled at the end of this season.
