November Jackass of the Month

Well, the votes are in and have been tallied and the winners have been selected. As you will recall, the JOTM contest this month was duets. Foley was by himself but we counted him as two because of his dual personalities in Congress. A total of 73 votes were cast and the totals are as follows:

  • Sheehan/Chavez 22 votes 30%
  • Err Amerika/Creditors 7 votes 10%
  • Wilsons/Their Daughter 2 3%
  • Clinton/Carter 33 votes 45%
  • Foley 9 votes 12%

Congratulations to the two former presidents, Clinton and Carter. They have taken their place of dishonor on the right and will be there until they are unseated by the next jackass.

I am accepting nominations for the December Jackass of the Month. That will be the special Christmas edition so we should have a few nominees from the left who have invoked religion to get elected or have tried to ban it. I am thinking Ford as one and John Kerry for certain. You can email, use the contact form or a comment.

As always, I welcome your comments.

Max Cleland Defends Kerry

Max Cleland, the Democrat who blew himself up in Vietnam issued a statement defending John Kerry and his slander of US troops. Thanks to Leaning Straight Up for bringing this to my attention. Here is the release:

“I think people will remember John Kerry’s press conference today as the moment we Democrats stopped once and forever accepting the disgraceful smears of Republicans. John Kerry showed our Party how to fight back with the truth.

“John Kerry is a patriot who has fought tooth and nail for veterans ever since he came home from Vietnam. He has stood with his brothers in arms unlike this Administration which exploits our troops to make a political point and divide America.

“John Kerry should apologize to no one for his criticism of the President and his broken policy in Iraq. George Bush is the one who owes our troops an apology. This is text book Republican campaign tactics.

“Everybody knows it’s not working this time around. If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they’ve got a partisan political agenda and that’s the bottom line. We’re not going to take it any more.”

First thing to notice is that the words are remarkably similar to Kerry’s from earlier. Perhaps Cleland should have gotten an education so he could think of his own words to write. Relax folks, I am sure that he has an education, it is just hard to put it to use when your brain is numbed with the kool-aid. The next thing that stands out is the blatant lie that John Kerry has been an advocate for veterans sine he returned from Vietnam (he was there you know).

John Kerry came home from the war and called his fellow vets rapists and murderers. Did that grenade rattle Cleland’s brain so badly that he has forgotten Kerry’s anti war, anti American activities that likely earned him a dishonorable discharge (we might actually know if this honorable man would release his records like he promised). How is it supportive of our troops to protest against them, to meet with the enemy, and to be held up as a hero by that very enemy? How is it supporting troops to say that American soldiers terrorize Iraqi civilians? How is it supportive to call the brave men and women of our military uneducated?

John Kerry held a press conference to defend himself. He is determined that he will not let his honor be questioned like it was when he ran in 2004. Unfortunately for John, he looked anything but presidential and showed America that she made the correct choice in selecting Bush for reelection. John Kerry is determined to give a tough guy appearance after he was exposed by the Swift Boat Vets and then got his ass handed to him in the election. Kerry says he will never be “Swift boated” again.

John, there are a whole lot of current veterans who would like to “swift boot” you right in your sorry ass. They would have to form a line, behind me.

Stop the ACLU has video of Bush’s demand for an apology.
Ms Underestimated has several good videos of the subject.

Hillary Moves Hard to Port

Hillary Clinton has been running around acting like a moderate. People who know her and those who have read her history know that she is as far left as they come but she is a Clinton and therefore ready, willing, and able to abandon principle to gain in politics. She pretends to support the troops though she hates the military and demonstrated that hatred for the eight years she and Bill infested the White House. Hillary has supported the war effort, or at least gave that appearance and she even resisted efforts by people like Murtha to redeploy which is a fancy Democratic word for cut and run.

Hillary was out recently and said that we needed to start redeploying. She said that she had hoped to have this start by the end of the year and that we needed to reduce our troop strength in Iraq and start redeploying. Hillary is content that she has her reelection bid in the New York Senate race all wrapped up and is now turning her attention to the White House in 2008. She now needs to soothe the savages on the far left by throwing them a few bones to prove she is really a moonbat like the rest. She saw what the anti war crowd did to Lieberman and she knows Feingold has his eyes on the prize and that he is the only one to oppose the war from the beginning.

Hillary is now titling back to the left so she can sure up her base in the next two years. She is well aware that these mindless drones will forget what she has done in order to appear moderate and many will, if she stays hard left, applaud her for being so brilliant a tactician.

Regardless of what she does or does not do, you can throw her in the pile of people who are CUT AND RUN. She is finally showing her true colors and those colors run. Once again, a member of America’s left has shown her true self and the picture is not very pretty.

Real Men Don’t Disrespect the Troops John

John Kerry (who was in Vietnam), held a press conference and he refused to apologize for his statements indicating that people who do not get an education end up in Iraq. I did not see the conference but those who did said he flipped his lid and that he is appealing to the left wing nut jobs who are anti war. Looks like he is getting a tune up for the 2008 presidential race. Here is the text of his conference:

“If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they’re crazy. This is the classic G.O.P. playbook. I’m sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did.

I’m not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium, or doughy Rush Limbaugh, who no doubt today will take a break from belittling Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s disease to start lying about me just as they have lied about Iraq. It disgusts me that these Republican hacks, who have never worn the uniform of our country lie and distort so blatantly and carelessly about those who have.

The people who owe our troops an apology are George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who misled America into war and have given us a Katrina foreign policy that has betrayed our ideals, killed and maimed our soldiers, and widened the terrorist threat instead of defeating it. These Republicans are afraid to debate veterans who live and breathe the concerns of our troops, not the empty slogans of an Administration that sent our brave troops to war without body armor.

Bottom line, these Republicans want to debate straw men because they’re afraid to debate real men. And this time it won’t work because we’re going to stay in their face with the truth and deny them even a sliver of light for their distortions. No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut and run policy in Afghanistan and a stand still and lose strategy in Iraq.”

No, John? Well how about you get lectured by this veteran who served about 20 years longer than you did? You are a despicable waste of flesh and should be removed from the gene pool. You criticize without ever having a “plan” and this time you attacked the men and women in the military. For you to say that people who think you, the mighty war veteran, would not criticize our heroes, just the president, is a laughable bunch of crap. You criticized veterans in the Vietnam war and compared them to “Jen-Jis” Khan. You continually talked badly about our heroes serving in that conflict and then you criticized the troops in this war. You are the one who said our soldiers are knocking down doors in the middle of the night and TERRORIZING Iraqis. Yes you Mr. war hero who would not criticize one of our REAL heroes.

You are a lying, conniving POS who does not deserve to be in the Senate because you committed treason and you should have been shot for that. You sir, are the stuffed suit who crawls out from under a rock to bloviate and spew vile crap about our men and women. You are not fit to shine their boots or even mention them. You are not worthy of the protection they give you you slimy gutter dweller.

You mention real men John. Any time you want to tangle whether it is in discussion or in a ring, you let me know and I will enlighten you on the subject of real men. You are a sorry bastard. Got any complaints, dial 1-800 go to hell.

What Media Bias

There are still those who think the TSM (Terrorist Supporting Media) is not biased. There are those who do not believe the TSM leans so far left they are about to fall off the diving board. This just in:

Network news coverage has favored Democratic candidates in the midterm election, and the page scandal involving former congressman Mark Foley has been the main story line, drawing almost as much coverage as Iraq and terrorism combined, a new study finds.

An analysis by the Center for Media and Public Affairs of midterm election stories aired on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts Sept. 5-Oct. 22 found that 2006′s coverage has been almost five times as heavy as in the 2002 midterm elections: 167 stories, compared with 35 four years ago.

The study found that three out of four evaluations of Democratic candidates’ chances of winning — such as sound bites — were positive, compared with one out of eight for Republicans. Coverage has been dominated by two major themes: the effects of the Foley scandal, and the impact the Bush presidency is having on the party’s congressional candidates.

The Foley scandal produced 59 stories alone, compared with 33 on Iraq and 31 on terrorism/national security issues. “What’s hurting Republican candidates is the media’s focus on two non-candidates: Mark Foley and George W. Bush,” says center director Robert Lichter.

Because of the focus on Foley, the re-election race of House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., was featured in 42 stories. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was featured in 10 stories, even though he’s not up for re-election this year. Sen. Hillary Clinton’s possible 2008 presidential run was grist for nine stories. USA Today

This is the TSM’s idea of “Fair and Balanced.”
