Macy’s says Bah Humbug to Christmas

WND reports that Macy’s, the department store depicted in the movie miracle on 34th Street, has taken references to Christmas out of the store. The store has replaced the traditional Christmas greetings with more politically correct versions like Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings.

There are now groups of people boycotting the store. They feel it is hypocritical for the store to make tons of money selling Christmas gifts but not acknowledging Christmas itself. I wonder if they have gotten rid of Santa Claus?

Macy’s has made a fortune over the years. They get free publicity every time the movie airs. Now they refuse to mention Christmas. I wonder why they refuse to see that this “Holiday Season” is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and that there is no shame in celebrating this?

What a shame. I have never shopped at Macy’s and have never planned to. I would recommend that those of you who are fed up with the political correctness look for stores who are not ashamed to mention Christmas.

Donks Want Help In Washington State Election

I got an email from Chris Gregoire the democratic candidate for the Governorship of Washington State. Really, it was from the DNC with her name at the bottom. She contends that out of all the votes cast, only 42 separate her and her opponent. She is not in the lead. There are reportedly thousands of votes around the state that have not been counted but she says she only needs 42 more and she can win. Perhaps she will ask that they stop the recount if and when she gains the lead. The real issue is that the person who requests the recount has to pay for it and it will cost about $750K. They are asking for donations, of course.

I do not blame her for asking for the recount. She only lost by 42 votes and there could be an error worth that many. I have a real problem with them asking for money. The DNC raised a record amount of money this election cycle and still have a lot of it left. Over at Blogs for Bush Matt Margolis posted a story that the DNC has raised $10 million since the election. Why don’t they use that money and stop hawking for more. It seems that the donks want to take your money any way they can. Through pandering or taxes, it does not matter to them.

I think if people are stupid enough to send in the money then they should just go ahead and do it. If they are not bright enough to see that the DNC has a lot of money and continues to raise it then they should go ahead and give their Christmas money to them. Shoot, the donks do not like the idea of Christmas anyway so they might as well blow their money on this BS.

Expert Warns of “Inevitable” WMD Attack

WND posted a story on November 29th entitled Expert: Massive WMD attack ‘inevitable’. This article quotes Yossef Bodansky, former director of the U.S. Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare. He states that a WMD attack, probably with a nuclear device, is inevitable. He stated that al-Qaida has put the pieces in place and will certainly attack the U.S. The contention is that the attack of 9/11 was a message to terrorists world wide that the U.S. could be penetrated and they are now planning an attack of a larger scale. It is felt that the terrorists have to trump the devastation of 9/11.

This is not hard to believe. The United States is a big, open country. People can walk in and out with relative ease. Nuclear material is available to those who are willing to pay for it on the black market. Considering the amount of money put in the terrorists pockets by the UN in the oil-for-food scam it is not hard to imagine they have the means to pay. The terrorists would love nothing more than to detonate a nuclear device in America. The over riding theme in the story is that bin Laden and other Islamic radicals argued about the propriety of attacking citizens. The claim is that this has changed because America reelected George Bush so we have shown that we deserve to be attacked.

I believe that if this is based on credible evidence we should put the world on notice that we will retaliate with nuclear force if a WMD, especially a nuclear device, is detonated in our country. We should make it known that we will attack all of the terrorist nations and obliterate them if this is carried out. We should then prepare to do just that. If a device explodes in America we should remove our troops and other citizens from the region and then carpet bomb them with nuclear weapons. We should remove them from the face of the Earth. This will give many other bad people in the world a chance to think about the consequences of attacking us. When we put them on notice they will have a chance to bring the terrorists to justice on their own. If the terrorists succeed in attacking us then we go forward with our retaliatory strikes.

I know there are people who do not agree with this. It does seem rather cruel to wipe out a society or two. But folks, we are talking about people who have no regard for life. They will come here and kill our children because they do not like our choice for president. I say screw them. I say this is our country and we will elect who we want and if the terrorists do not like that then it means we made the right choice. Hell, half of America did not like who we elected and even though they are talking a good game I doubt any of them plan to detonate a WMD and kill innocent people. We need to make our intentions clear and then carry them out if we are attacked. This is about survival and we need to look out for our society before we worry about theirs.

After reading this I am convinced more than ever we elected the right person. If the terrorists do not like him in there we must be doing something right.

The Donks Just Keep On Trying

I have heard that the democratic ticket of John Edwards and John Kerry have posted a request to have people send in money to support their recount efforts in Ohio. It would seem the Federal Election Commission has granted them permission to raise money to cover recount expenses. We all know that the recounts will yield the same results as they did in 2000 and that is that BUSH WON!

This is a blatant attempt by the donks to somehow cast a shadow of doubt on the Bush win and maybe cast doubt on the legitimacy of his presidency. They are unhappy with the resounding win Bush enjoyed and the mandate that comes from such a win. They will do anything they can to discredit that mandate. The sad part is they will play their supporters for the suckers they are and swindle more money from them.

I would like to know where the $15 million that Kerry had left went and why this will not cover a recount. I would also like to know why John Kerry could see that he could not win Ohio on election day but now feels it is worthwhile to try. He did not want to put the country through another debacle like 2000, in all honesty an honorable gesture, but now wants to start a recount which will prove divisive. I say to let things stand and get on with the business of governing this country. Kerry has been out of the Senate for quite some time, and spends little time there when not campaigning, so he needs to stop this foolishness and get to work. Perhaps he had better start earning that big salary the taxpayers pay him and stop cheating us or maybe next senatorial election he will be unemployed. Remember folks, he is a Massachusetts Senator but his salary comes from the taxes we all pay. We deserve better for our money so let’s all demand that John Kerry get back to work and stop his gold bricking.

Another Unsung Hero

Mark Noonan at Blogs for Bush posted a story about a Marine killed in action. The story ran in The American Spectator . Lance Corporal Dimitri Gavriel, 29 was a graduate of Brown University. He worked on Wall Street as a real estate securities analyst, working for firms including Banc of America Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston, and J.P. Morgan. He was laid off in 2002 and decided to join the Marines. The Marines rejected him because of his age and some old injuries. He worked out, lost 40 pounds and told the recruiters he could do as well as the younger guys. They finally relented and let him join.

The day before he left for Boot Camp he was offered a job in finance. His family begged him to stay and his sister offered to let him stay with her free of charge if he took the job. He left for Paris Island the next day. He was inspired, in part, because three of his friends were killed on 9/11. He was killed in action in Fallujah on November 19th.

This is another story of an amazing American hero. We are surrounded by them but the MSM and Michael Moores of the world just see bad in the people who are there or use them as political fodder. The Abu Grahbe prison scandals were above the fold items but stories about true American heroes get overlooked unless they played football in the NFL. Pat Tillman and Dimitri Gavriel are heroes just like every other warfighter over in Iraq and around the world. We are truly blessed to have this caliber of selfless people in the greatest military in the world. I hope you will join me in praying for those who are fighting, those who have died and those who are left behind.

We sleep in peace at night because rough men like this stand ready to do violence on our behalf. May God bless this young man; he has earned his place in the Kingdom of the Almighty.
