Best Possible Health Care Is In The US

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams left Canada and came to the US for heart surgery after he was told by his Canadian doctors that the heart procedure he needed would require them to break some of the bones in his chest. He consulted with a doctor in the US and decided to have the surgery in Miami where the doctors cut through the side of his chest and did not have to break any of his bones.
Williams has had to answer questions as to why he came to the US when his country offers universal health care. Williams responded that it was his heart and his choice and lamented that if he had the surgery in Canada he would have to handle claims that he got bumped to the head of the line. He put it simply when he said:
I did not sign away my right to get the best possible health care for myself when I entered politics.
I think this statement says it all. Despite the universal health care in Canada which has been touted as an example for America to follow, this politician decided that the US system, even with its flaws, provided the best health care possible.
We need reform but not the kind Washington DC and Obama are pushing. We need to keep this country the place where people want to come for the best care possible and not some second rate place where the elderly die because they are not deemed worthy of treatment and government employees make decisions that should be between patients and their doctors.

Olbermann Gets Body Slammed

Keith Olbermann of MSNBC is a moron who likes to spread lies and tell the three people who watch his show how bad people are because they happen not to hold the same views he does. Of course it is hard to know his vies because he changes the tone when the act that was an offense when committed by a Republican is a great thing to behold when committed by a Democrat. He is a certified moron who was recently body slammed in a video that answers a few of his questions.
Well Olbermann, there are the answers to your questions. Will you attend and see for yourself?
And how about hiring a black or other minority at MSNBC?

Obama Can’t Blame It On Congress

Barack Obama told America that his health care plan will not pay for abortions. He specifically said ““no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.” His words on this and illegal immigrants prompted Joe Wilson to shout “you lie.”
When Obama said this it was a lie. The House bill allowed federal dollars to be used for abortion but when asked about this later, Obama’s people said that Obama did not have control over what Congress was writing. In other words, he did not write it in, Congress did. If it had passed, Obama would have signed it regardless of what he said about federal dollars being used.
Obama has released his own plan ahead of the faux summit he will have with Republicans this week. Obama wants bipartisan support but he has written what he wants. His idea of bipartisan is when the Republicans give in to what he wants.
Interestingly, the bill Obama has put together, a clever move to take away the claim that deals were made in back rooms, will allow federal dollars to pay for abortion. Obama cannot run and hide from this one because, despite what he said about not using federal dollars for abortions, he has included them and federal dollars will pay for them. Obama an his lackeys cannot claim it was Congress because the sainted one himself included the provision in the bill he put together, one that is very close to the Senate bill.
“If all of the President’s changes were made, the resulting legislation would allow direct federal funding of abortion-on-demand through community health centers, would institute federal subsidies for private health plans that cover abortion-on-demand, including some federally administered plans, and would authorize federal mandates that would require even non-subsidized private plans to cover elective abortion,” Douglas said.

“Every time President Obama’s spokesmen are asked about the Senate health care bill that authorizes federal funds for abortion, they reply that none of the bills put forth are the president’s own,” Donohue said. “Moreover, the president has said that he would never sign a health care bill that funds abortion.”
“While it is true that the pro-abortion camp will not be happy with the president for not striking some restrictions it deplores, the fact remains that President Obama could have adopted the pro-life friendly language of the House bill,” Donohue said. “The fact that he didn’t is what matters most.” CNS News
Obama is a liar and he will do whatever it takes to get his agenda through. Reconciliation is next where only 51 Senators are needed to pass a bill. This is an end around and designed to thwart the will of the people and the procedures of the Senate.
I predict that Obama will lose the votes he needs in the House because the Democrats who voted against it the first time will not support this plan and many more Democrats who are worried about their reelection bids in November will likely not support it out of the desire for self preservation.
If by chance it passes through the reconciliation process then the Democrats will lose control of the House and Senate and will likely not regain it for the next decade.
Americans do not like to be screwed and the Obama administration and his sock puppets in Congress are bending us over.
On the issue of abortion and federal funding it looks like the only person who told the truth is Joe Wilson who hit the nail on the head when he called out the liar in chief.

Harry Reid Is About To Become Abusive

Harry Reid, while discussing the so called jobs bill, said that the incidence of abuse by men is increasing because men become abusive when they are unemployed.
“Men, when they’re out of work, tend to become abusive,” the majority leader added. “Our domestic crisis shelters in Nevada are jammed.” The Hill
This is anecdotal evidence but if it happens to be true then Reid will become abusive in January of 2011 when he leaves office after losing his reelection bid this November.
Considering how he has abused the country during his time in office, Reid should adjust to his unemployment without much difficulty.

McCain Was Misled On TARP?

John McCain is in a real dogfight for his Senate seat as Republican J.D. Hayworth is mounting a respectable campaign and is beating up on McCain for his RINO history. McCain feels the heat and he is resorting to the same arguments Democrats used once the war on terror became unpopular. Astute readers will remember that Democrats ran around claiming they were misled on the war (and by the man they claim is dumb).
Yes, now that McCain is being beaten up for his support of a program that many Americans did not agree with he is claiming that he was misled.
McCain has been around the block more times than the ice cream man so he is aware of what goes on in this country and this is true with TARP. He was well aware that a lot of people opposed the TARP and he has an understanding of the financial system. If he was this easily “misled” and did not understand what was going on then why was he running for the presidency?
I voted for John McCain because he has a track record of service to this country, served honorably in Vietnam, endured unimaginable torture at the hands of our enemy, and was a better choice than Obama. But he is no conservative and he has as much responsibility for the situation we are in as others in Congress.
He is now facing a person who has a chance to beat him and McCain is resorting to the old “I was misled” excuse.
He is not taking responsibility for his actions.
He needs to go this year as do a lot of people in both parties. It is time to clean out the closet and get rid of those who have lost touch with the voters and with reality.
