Oil-for-Food Scandal Update

The Associated Press reported today that two high-ranking — and yet unnamed — UN officials are heavily involved in the Oil-for-Food scandal. The evidence indicates that bribes were accepted from Saddam Hussein by UN officials while the Oil-for-Food program was being established. Off course, this leads us to the question if the program was established specifically to allow exploitation of the program for pecuniary gains. That’s for money, to you and me.

Isn’t it strange how Kofi Annan came out a day before the indictments which disclosed possible bribes accepted by top UN officials and blamed the US and UK for the situation? See my post below for more information on that story.
