Obama’s Mandatory Service

Barack Obama said he wanted a national security force that equals the strength of our military and it looks like the House has taken a step in the direction of mandatory service.

The House passed a bill yesterday which includes disturbing language indicating young people will be forced to undertake mandatory national service programs as fears about President Barack Obama’s promised “civilian national security force” intensify. InfoWars.com

The bill calls for community service and has language about national service.

To those on the left who complain every time someone mentions a draft, how does this sit with you? I know that it is not the military but a national security force would involve compelled service. If you oppose a draft, how can you think this is OK?

Community service is generally a volunteer endeavor or is used as punishment. Forcing someone who has not committed a crime to perform community service or forcing people (mandatory is force) to join the national security force would seem to violate the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution:

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

What crimes have been committed by school children or college students that would require compelling them to perform community service? The only crime is against those kids forced to attend public schools.

The mandatory service in the national security force also appears to also be a violation of this Amendment. And for those who wonder about it, yes I think the military draft violates the Amendment.

What should a true patriot do if a national security force is established?

Join the resistance.

Just to let the Democrats know, we have a civilian security force. Each state has a national guard and it is their job to keep us safe in times of trouble.

If you want to join an honorable national security force, join the guard. You can do that voluntarily.
