Obama’s DHS Targets Right Wing

The Obama Department of Homeland Security has a report out that targets what is described as Right Wing extremism. In the report there are discussions about radical right wing groups like returning veterans and skinheads. The definition of a radical right wing group can be a single issue thing like those opposed to abortion. I never saw where those in favor of abortion were labeled as radical left wing extremists.

(U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

I imagine that only the right is involved in hate.

This is another attempt by a governmental agency to paint the right as a bunch of hate mongering racists. The entire premise behind the report is that right wingers are upset that a black guy was elected to the presidency.

Pam at Atlas Shrugs has a very long list of the supposed things to worry about with regard to the right wing, those radical people who have been keeping America safe since her birth (while bed wetting liberals sucked their thumbs). I will focus on one particular item, gun control. This should make some of the liberals who comment here happy because they love when they can lie about Obama and his gun record.

The report states:

(U//FOUO) The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.

(U//FOUO) Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups, as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government. The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement. [all emphasis mine]

The DHS is admitting in the report that there are proposed firearms restrictions and weapons bans. There is no room for them to deny this or say it is out of context. It does not say that if there were a gun ban it clearly states that PROPOSED imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans and it says that because the Obama administration wants to do just that.

The DHS is classifying the right as a bunch of military veterans, hate groups, and skinheads who want to cause trouble because of the first black guy being president. They point to one incident that happened in Oklahoma and try to say it represents all of the right wing. Veterans should be especially weary of these people because they will be gunning for you, so to speak.

Pam Geller has much more on this and she points out a lot of items. I only focused on the gun issues because this is the way they start. Make a group an enemy and show it is violent, demonize it and then show that guns must be removed in order to keep them from causing trouble. Jews went through this in Nazi Germany. And you all wonder why people are buying guns and ammo. It is because government trying to make us the enemy.

I will say this. I find it very disturbing that the Obama administration under its Nazis in DHS would classify the right as full of extremists and point to the Oklahoma City bombing as some sort of proof that a right wing extremist cabal exists and that extreme care should be taken to keep the right wingers from causing problems but ignores the attacks of 9/11 as proof of a Islamic Radical extremists. It seems that we go out of our way to say that we are not at war with Islam and that Islam did not attack America and all the other crap we have heard as politicians groveled at the feet of Muslims. We cannot say that Islam is at war with America or make broad generalizations but the DHS can write a whole report about right wing extremism based on a bombing of a federal building by a nut.

Islamic attacks on 9/11, just a bunch of misunderstood muzzies who we somehow ticked off. Oklahoma City bombing, a right wing extremist movement that shows all veterans are out to destroy the country they took an oath to protect…

Read the entire report. It shows what your government is up to. It demonstrates how the Saul Alinsky group of Socialists running this country intend to demonize American citizens, many of them veterans, and try to force gun laws in order to get what they want and squash any opposition.

They better hope it never comes to that.

As for the report. It is labeled Unclassified/For Official Use Only and I don’t know who obtained it or anything like that. It is not for distribution outside the government (mostly because they want to hide their Nazi activities) but since it is public I will provide the link. I do not have it on my server and do not want it there.

If they wanted it to be a secret they should have guarded it better. In any event, I am glad it is public. People need to know what the thugs in DHS, under the direction of Obama, are doing.

Wow, where do I start? At the beginning I suppose.

I never saw where those in favor of abortion were labeled as radical left wing extremists.

That’s kind of silly on it’s face. Pro-choice people don’t blow anything up. Radical environmentalists? Different story, but I digress.

I imagine that only the right is involved in hate.

    The report says:

This product is one of a series of intelligence assessments published by the
Extremism and Radicalization Branch to facilitate a greater understanding of the
phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States.

Take that how you will but to act like this is a comprehensive study of hate and it blames all on the right is not accurate.

The DHS is classifying the right as a bunch of military veterans, hate groups, and skinheads who want to cause trouble because of the first black guy being president. They point to one incident that happened in Oklahoma and try to say it represents all of the right wing.

This is where you start to fudge the facts. Nowhere in the report does it say just the “right” but it instead always says “right-wing extremists.”

The DHS is admitting in the report that there are proposed firearms restrictions and weapons bans.

I don’t think any liberal has denied Obama will attempt to place restrictions and even bans on certain firearms again. If you take me to be denying that let me set the record straight. What I’ll continue to point out is the total lunacy that you spread that Obama is going to take all guns.

We cannot say that Islam is at war with America or make broad generalizations but the DHS can write a whole report about right wing extremism based on a bombing of a federal building by a nut.

We aren’t at war with Islam and Islam is not at war with us. That’s the truth, as hard as that may be for you to grasp. It’s nice that you brought up Islamic extremism since the same way they recruit for their cause is the way radical groups in the US recruit, as the report points out about right-wing hate groups.

Oklahoma City bombing, a right wing extremist movement that shows all veterans are out to destroy the country they took an oath to protect.

Again with your distortions. Nowhere in the report does it say “all veterans.”

    The report says:

The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

You tell your readers to “read the entire report” but I have my doubts that you read it yourself because otherwise you have no excuse for the blatant lies you tell about this report. It’s a report about right-wing extremism only, not a report blaming all hate and extremism on the right, or even on only right-wing extremists. It doesn’t say all veterans are out to destroy the country but rather a small group of veterans will be targeted for recruitment by right-wing groups.

You won’t deny right-wing extremism exists so why are you so offended when a report comes out saying the movement is growing. The report traces parallels to the movement’s history in the 90’s under today’s similar circumstances for the economy, the war, and the election of president these groups don’t trust.

If you are so offended by it then maybe it suggests something about your own growing radical views.

    • Blake says:

Right Adam, you never did see those for abortion labeled as left wing nut jobs, in spite of their behavior. It appears that the name calling is more prevalent on the left, but lets get something straight here.
In spite of what the Koran teaches, Muhammad himself waged some seventy- odd wars to spread the faith. The Swedes do not have that history, nor are they the ones who hijacked airliners and flew them into the Twin Towers, hence, the emphasis on Islamic- themed peoples.
Yes, I do not deny that there are radical nut jobs of every color and religion (see: David Koresh)- including Nation of Islam, the Black Panthers, the KKK, and others.
Ask yourself, however, which ones have we had problems with lately? Is it the White Supremacists? Or the Islamic Extremists?
Add to that the fact that we have someone in the White House that, rightly or wrongly, casts the perception that he is more sympathetic to Islam than to his own country, and the end result is a lot of nervous people.
The first interview he gave was to an Islamic network, then he gives the appearance of bowing to the Saudi King, the keeper of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
He panders to them, in the hopes that they will be swayed by the sheer force of his personality. Yep, he is truly a legend in his own mind.
Meanwhile, he begins to try to curtail liberties here at home, little by little.
By the way, a part of the report was redacted- the part saying that you might recognize a radical if he had a Ron Paul bumper sticker. Yeah- now there’s a real radical for you. I have spoken with Rep. Paul, mostly to criticize his earmarks, but he is no radical, he is just opposed to what Obama’s policies are. So am I- I guess that makes me a radical also. So be it.

      • Adam says:

Obama restoring relations with our Muslim allies and the Muslim media is fine unless you think Islam is the problem and not simply Islamic extremists.

I don’t see anybody around here blaming Christianity itself for the radical and sometimes violent Christian Identity movement that gets mention in the report above. So why blame Islam itself for the actions of it’s radicals?

Obama has to pay mind to preventing domestic terrorism, not just to neutralizing international threats.

        • Blake says:

We have Muslim allies? Really? I’ll admit, we have tried to reach out, but Pakistan, as most muslim countries, has a dagger in one hand, even while they shake our hand, pledging assistance in the war on terror. It is the same when you speak of others also. Iraq may end up being our sole ally, and there, it will be all they can do to hold onto any concept of Democracy, as the Arab world does not believe in the concept of it, nor do they believe in rights, until they are captured, when they squeal like little piggies for the news media, who dutifully trot out their time- worn mea culpas for the “barbaric” behavior of the U.S.
I am just so glad those Seals blew the heads off of those pirates- that was the proper response. Now we just need to prosecute them into their mother ships, their little ports, and destroy this scum, on behalf of a world too spineless to do this for themselves.

        • Adam says:

Don’t forget about Egypt, our ally and a Republic with a 90% Muslim population. There are several others. Pakistan is just in an intense and unstable situation…but they sure can cook some amazing food.

        • Big Dog says:

Islam is the problem. You want hate speech listen to what comes out of mosques. The radical and violent Christian acts? Very rare indeed. Islam is a cult and until the so called main stram Muslims stand up and denounce what is taking place in their name then I have no use for them.

I am happy to let them live their lives and for me to live mine but I do not intend to have them impose their beliefs upon me. I KNOW I don’t do that to them.

Islam is the protected cult while Christianity is constantly under attack.

        • Single Lady says:

Do not you think that imposing our christianity on other cultures is violence itself? We need to be more tolerant and to let them live there lifes and do not try to teach muslims our morality.
Obama has to take actions to prevent domestic terrorism. That is true.

    • Big Dog says:

The definition they gave of an extremist fits about anyone especially those who oppose abortion or illegal immigration. Blowing up abortion clinics is rare, the murder inside them is not.

I did read the report. I know they say extremist but as they define it, it can apply to any conservative.

And the TALON thing you referenced discusses those who have made threats against DOD concerns and does not indicate a particular political ideology though I can see how you would make that mistake. The left is the one most likely to attack a DOD entity.

  2. Blake says:

Dog- I talk a lot with people who hunt and shoot down here in Texas, and the rumors abound concerning everything from a “sim=n” tax on guns, to a tax (Prohibitive, I am sure) on ammo, to laser- etching every bullet, so forensics knows exactly who bought it, to putting a de- stabilizer in the primers of ammo whereby their shelf life is drastically shortened.
Now, all the detractors of guns will undoubtedly say that this is a good thing, but it’s chilling in its restrictions. I remember when the left howled like they had been set on fire, when there were conditions where telephone conversations from OUTSIDE the country that were deemed suspicious were permitted to be recorded. Oh, the protest that the rights of NON- CITIZENS were infringed.
News flash- foreigners have no inherent “rights” under the Constitution, but the second amendment cannot be infringed, that is, altered to fit the Fascist paranoia of any temporary leader- after all, he only has a four year term, and the only way he will get another, is if he voids the electoral process, because I guarantee with the moves this administration is making, government takeover is the only way they will stay.
Their assaults on the Bill of Rights is beginning, with the first and second amendments, because these are the two most important ones, the ability to have free speech, which they will attack with a variation of the Fairness Doctrine, and now the second amendment. Oh, they will say that you can continue to own guns, but you will have to be a millionaire to fire the ammo. And since they are intent on eliminating millionaires, well, you see where this is going.
So can a lot of people, which is why aLOT of people’s discretionary spending has been on ammo, when they can find it. I know that when I can find it, I buy it.
It is better to have it and not need it,than to need it and not have it.

  3. Aresay says:

The mainstream media wouldn’t do it. So we are trying to get your important messages to the American people. This post is a suggested read at, http://aresay.blogspot.com/ 3

  4. Blake says:

I also have to say that I never have read a report during Bush’s administration that worried about the radical left- could it be that the Republican administration wasn’t worried about vigorous public debate, even when it slurred and slandered the sitting President? Perhaps people’s rights were protected more under Bush- I never saw any restrictions in guns or ammo under him. I never saw a lot of punitive taxes under him.
Perhaps its the Liberals who are paranoid, and are feeling, well, a bit fascist now.
Please take into account when reading the report, that most of the “right wing” nut job info is 12 years old, and happened under Clinton, who couldn’t have mis- managed the situations more than if he had been occupied with cheating on his marriage-oops!

  5. Adam says:

Look into the Talon (Threat and Local Observation Notices) program that the Bush Administration implemented after 9/11 to watch left-wing groups if you want to talk about how Bush supported “vigorous public debate.”

    • Blake says:

Adam, there were, and still are, a LOT of lefties who believe that 9/11 was an inside job, and these people are sympathetic to the terrorists’ cause, because they believe that the U.S. must be torn down to achieve transnationalism, that is, that world law supersedes our Constitution, and I am sorry Adam, but if it comes down to that scenario, I will be on the front lines, because I love America as she is, and we neither need nor want some left wing nut job trying to tear us down. At least most on the right love America, and believe, with all her faults, that she is still the best place to live on earth. If you do not feel that way, well, we are not forcing you to stay- I am quite sure you can find another country where you feel comfortable. I think I will stay and fight for mine, if it comes to that. I surely hope it does not, but if so, here I am.

    • Adam says:

The 9/11 truthers are not a liberal group. Just ask Ron Paul whom the truthers flocked to this last election.

I’ve enjoyed talking to you lately but if you’re going to start in accusing me of wanting to change America so much that I should probably find another country…well…that’s where I get off the bus.

      • Blake says:

Well, Adam, you seem to be one of the Anointed one’s best apologists, and he is trying to radically remake America in his mind’s eye, so I have to know if you are truly onboard with all of this, or do you just parrot the party line? I mean, surely some of what he is doing must disturb you. If not, I just have to shake my head. I am glad you are onboard with paying more taxes and getting less for your money. I wish I could feel as sanguine about Barama’s plans.
Bush did not attempt to curtail our liberties nor tax us so- you can say that Bush was for big business, but I know that is not the case. It is however, not the unemployed people who are creating jobs, so don’t get down on business.
hat’s as hypocritical as a friend of mine, who works for ATT, who is mad at Wal- Mart. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, the only reason is that his union bosses are mad at Wal- Mart for not being union.
But ATT would out source all its labor if it could, so let’s not get into the union argument here.
Big business is big business, and they supply the jobs.
As for the “9/11 truthers” ( gotta shake your head at that one) they are not conservatives. I agree they are nut jobs- I just feel they fall closer to your tree than mine.

        • Adam says:

Don’t confuse my willingness to call conservatives on their utter nonsense with being Obama’s best apologist. I don’t share your views about Obama trying to remake America so I won’t get into that with you.

If you’re going to put 9/11 truthers in one group I’d say that would be hard but I’ll just keep pointing to the fact that 9/11 truthers supported Ron Paul in the primary so apparently some of them are conservative. Really they’re just a bunch of idiots and idiocy is pretty non-partisan.

          • Big Dog says:

Yep, the 9/11 guys were Ron Paul supporters and the Black Panthers, Socialist party and Communist party supported Obama. Like you said, being an idiot is non partisan.

      • Big Dog says:

Yes, the troofers are a liberal group. Just because they supported Paul does not change that. Some conservatives supported Obama but it does not mean they are liberals for doing do (though many were RINOs).

  6. MAS1916 says:

Obama and His DHS are endangering the nation by focusing on people who actually like the United States. There are plenty of enemies out there waiting to bring down another building or cause mass casualties.

Obama wants to focus on conservatives. Does he really believe that people who cherish the nation and its history are a greater threat? Perhaps he does.

  9. Blake says:

Single Lady, the muslim world has a looooooong history of war and subjugation- Muhammud himself waged some seventy wars to “spread the faith”, and the Koran is replete with examples of “cleansing the world” of infidels, meaning everyone who doesn’t believe in islam.
It’s funny really- the religion that is the newest kid on the block, so to speak- islam coming some 800 years after Christ- has what I call short- man syndrome. That is, it is the quickest to take offense at imagined slights.
I have no problem with them practicing their religion, but I will never allow their religion to become ascendent in this country, as this is a Christian- based nation.
As far as morality goes, they need to learn ours if they wish to be in this contry.
I WILL NEVER ACCEPT SHARIA LAW. Not in this country. It is a backward, primitive law,. Don’t believe me? Try it, Single Lady- you will be stoned to death in a week.
It always amazes me that liberals feel that we should accept some other country’s version of law, instead of teaching ours. Our Constitution isn’t good enough? Gee, it’s lasted 232 years so far, although I have to admit, these last couple of years, and especially the last three months, have been hard on the document, as Obama tries to put it through the shredder.

  10. Victoria says:

Page 5 of the DHS report:

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
    (U) Exploiting Economic Downturn
(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen.

You better be careful Big Dog and so should the rest of us conservatives–we have been chattering on the internet about all these things.

  12. Blake says:

The one thing I find really interesting was how fast this report was ginned up. There is a report of the guy who shot those police in Pittsburgh, and that was April fourth- it’s April 14, now, so in ten days, DHS/TeamObama has managed to try and paint our returning veterans as psychos, using a twelve year old example, Tim Mc Veigh.
Oh yeah, I am sure in Obama’s mind this is representative of our heroic veterans. Come on, give me a break- even Dems can’t believe this, it is too farcical.
If you parse the words, there is tons of equivocation, using words like ” Could be”, “potential”,”possible”, and my personal favorite, “reportedly”. Gee, with words like those I could make anyone look guilty in a report that noone puts their name to. Let’s try them in a sentence, shall we?
Barak Obama could be reportedly a potentially possible dunderhead. Wow. That sounds bad, I guess we should round him up.
The report would be laughable, except the people who wrote this POS do take it seriously.
Meanwhile,we have to be on the alert for “Man- caused Disasters”- how prissy is that?

Well it is official I have no representation in Congress now. I used to write to my Congressman Norm Coleman a lot and receive namby pamby replies but at least he would say that he agreed that this or that was indeed also his concern also. Well at least there is Michelle Bachman although she is not from my district. God help us here and everywhere from Al Franken.

    • Blake says:

Oh Victoria, you have my sympathy re; Al Franken- he wasn’t even a good comedian, but he will be good for some laughs in the Senate (just when you thought the Senate could sink no lower)- he might just be capable of embarrassing the Democratic party, because this is a man with NO inherent sense of decorum, and the Senate, if nothing else, is a place where snobs gather. They have one thing in common, an inflated sense of importance.

If we could get past the labels we would find that we all have a lot more in common than not. I see an american whereas you see a right wing nut. Just a few things to point out. We are only 242 years old. We have not been fighting Islam for 500 years not have we spent our entire resources exporting democracy. Those of you who can read, try reading world history. We did not want any part of WWWI or WWWII. Europe begged us to come to their aide. Now they can sit back and put the big dog back on the leash untilthey need us again. But this time we have a President who agrees with the European elitist snobs. Yes we make mistakes but think we do ok for being just a toddler compared to some cultures that are 5000 years old and still want to live in caves. Labels, name calling. insults, none are relevant. Being an American must be first, respect for life and the constitution. If these beliefs make me a right wing nut then I confess. Guilty. I have been a democrat for 42 years, I am a retired social worker, and I am looking for a tea party to attend. So there, call me names.

    Uh huh.

So what happens if some veterans decide to “uphold the Constitution” again by blowing up another federal building (e.g., Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in OK City — 168 dead and 800+ injured)……..and the Obama administration hasn’t done a damned thing to recognize and prepare for that threat?

Won’t it be said that the Dept. of Homeland Security didn’t recognize a threat that has already been shown to be very real, and therefore didn’t do its job?

Are you saying that the Obama Administration should ignore the known, DEMONSTRATED threat imposed by right-wing radical fringe groups?

Or are you immune from scrutiny if you don’t consider yourself a fringe group, but rather a protector of the Constitution?

May Satan be using Tim McVeigh as a d*ck puppet in hell right now.

  20. Big Dog says:

Hey Buzz, where is your outrage at the 3000 killed by Islamic extremists?

One guy, McVeigh, does not represent the great men and women serving this country.

Using your logic we should have all Liberals on the watch list because liberals raided and murdered people in Waco.
