In my opinion, Obama is so cold-hearted, calculating, and cruel that he would probably stab his wife in the back if she ever opposed him. Bill, he is not just ruining the US abroad, but is making the US here another Germany. Eventually he will demand so much of us that we will have a civil riot in the US. That is why he doesn’t want us to own any guns.

The troops would be at attention when the song Hail to the Chief is played and should come to attention when someone announces the president (if the song is not played). However, they do not remain at attention the entire time and there were obvious applause lines built in that did not get the response expected. However, the fact is the troops are leery of him and many do not support him, at least as of December 2008, after the election.

I'm starting to see some conservatives push back on the ridiculous video that this site ran a few days ago that depicted the difference between when Bush met with troops and when Obama met with troops. As this post calls it:

The first video above is the cheapest of cheap shots. Marines in the Obama video have been clearly called to attention, and are standing at attention when he enters. Whooping it up for the Commander in Chief therefore is not an option. Period.

Some conservatives simply want to believe that Obama doesn't support the troops and therefore the troops don't support him and they are simply fixing the facts around that opinion.

Big Dig that is exactly what Obama wants. The only thing standing between him and absolute power here at home and the utter ruin of the US abroad is our men and women in uniform who have sworn to protect our Constitution and our way of life. The left have never really supported the military and have always believed that they were the problem. John Kerry threw them under the bus when he got back from Viet Nam and called them terrorists in Irag. Dick Durbin compared them to Nazi’s for God sake! Then he shed a few crocodile tears at a press conference/photo-op, and went to a party. Remember, Obama spoke during the campaign about a domestic security force equal in strength to our military (and presumably totally loyal to him). A weakened US military would make that extremely easy.
