Obama Is No Ronald Reagan

Lately it seems that Obama and his handlers are working on an image that paints ole’ Barry as Ronald Reagan incarnate. Obama was reading a book about Reagan (after getting his rear handed to him in the midterm elections) and there have been several references equating the two men.

Obama himself made a vague reference that compared him to Ronald Reagan. During a ceremony for Robert “Gagdad Bob” Gibbs in which Obama recounts a story about how he ended up wearing Gibbs’ tie, Obama described Gibbs’ action as taking one for the Gipper.

“…And, frankly, Robert didn’t want to give it up because he thought he looked really good in the tie. But eventually he was willing to take one for the gipper, and so he took off his tie, and I put it on. And that’s the tie that I wore at the national convention.” Real Clear Politics

The Gipper is the nickname that was used to refer to Reagan. The name comes from a part he played in a movie about the real life Gipper, George Gipp, a football player at Notre Dame.

Obama has been feigning toward the center since the last election and he must somehow believe that if he keeps saying he is like Reagan then people will vote for him.

To paraphrase a Democrat, I served under Ronald Reagan, I voted for Ronald Reagan, and you sir, are no Ronald Reagan.

This is more proof that Democrats know they can’t get elected by being themselves so they must act like something they are not. However, once they are in office the revert back to their roots and continue their destruction of the country.

**To be fair, Democrats are not the only ones who equate themselves to Reagan in order to garner support. Watch any Republican presidential primary and there are plenty of people trying to out-Reagan each other…

Robert Gibbs has been “taking one” for Bari for so long that his picture should be in the male prostitutes’ Hall of Fame.
As for our dear Resident, he is so far from Reagan that to make that assumption, one would need to be a moron with no brain stem- as most liberals seem to be nowadays.
Just look at the budget Barrie has rolled out- it ADDS to the deficit and cuts nothing, and yet he wants us to believe he is fiscally responsible? What kind of jack wad is this guy?
Here we have a nation DROWNING in a sea of red ink, and like Nero, fiddling away, he seems to not be aware of this fact.
I guess his Commie mommy didn’t teach him the value of money, among other things, like how to use your brains in the real world.

  2. Check out this political cartoon I posted over at THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS. The cartoon depicts what Obama should be seeing in the mirror — not Reagan.

Good one, AOW. Very good one.

BD, I look for this trend to continue. The media and Barry think they can win with Reagan. As long as they work together to keep any serious primary challengers away from Barry, they will continue. Watch, as we near the election, the comparisons continue to Reagan and his second election. Watch for media maps and comparisons of states won by Obama and state won by Reagan. This is their 2012 election strategy, and it’s already in full swing.

Progressives’ careers are built on deceit, as they have never actually had to work in the real world, but want to project that air of competence they need to get re-elected- so they try and channel Reagan.
They just do not have the stones to pull it off-
