Obama Dedicated To Deficit Reduction

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was busy spinning the propaganda today and he told one whopper of a lie. He said that Barack Obama is dedicated to deficit reduction.

“I think that has been proven again and again, White House press secretary Jay Carney said of President Obama’s commitment to reducing the deficit. “Most recently by the continuing resolution negotiation that averted a government shutdown earlier this year with Republicans that tighten deficits significantly in this fiscal year by the Affordable Care Act, which is a long term deficit.” Real Clear Politics

Since Obama has been in office the deficit has nearly quadrupled. It is around $1.5 TRILLION this year alone. Obama’s last budget increased the deficit and the negotiations that took place did absolutely nothing to tighten deficits significantly. Additionally, Obamacare will not reduce the deficit. It will, according to a number of sources, increase the problem by as much as $2.5 TRILLION.

Obama has been too busy passing expensive Socialist legislation and playing golf to do anything that deals with reducing the deficit. He is only interested in raising taxes and spending more money.

But, this is what passes for dedication in Obamaland. Hell, this dedication to reducing the deficit is producing similar results as his laser beam focus on jobs.

Since Obama focused like a laser beam, the unemployment rate rose and has been high the entire time. There is no end in sight.

It would appear as if Obama’s idea of dedication and laser beam focus is different from those who inhabit the successful world. Successful people who are dedicated and laser beam focused achieve positive results.

“Since Obama has been in office the deficit has nearly quadrupled.”

Still true no matter how many times your side says otherwise: Obama’s policies have played only a small role in growing the deficit. The vast majority of the deficit is due to either the recession or policies put in place before Obama entered office. Without the recovery measures we’d still be hitting record deficits and you’d still be blaming Obama.

Only a small role? What have you been smoking? Bari has spent nearly 3 TRILLION dollars of other people’s money- that borders on criminal when you see with your own eyes that it hasn’t created one REAL job in the private sector- excepting mo’ money fo’ his union buddies, right?
When Bari was sworn in, the unemployment rate was 7.8%- now it is 9.1%, and growing. Anyone who doesn’t recognize a double-dip recession is coming has rocks in their lil’ liberal head.

And this is a guy who OBVIOUSLY doesn’t understand business, otherwise why sell GM stock NOW? The guy is an idiot child.

Saying “The vast majority of the deficit is due to…the recession” is true, and proof that economic recovery is hampered by high taxes and unsuccessful liberal social programs.

“…policies put in place before Obama entered office,” would include policy put in place by other socialist liberal democrats, such as Carter, Clinton, and the entire selection of poor choices, policy voted for a ratified by congressmen who have held dominance in the Senate and House for many decades.
We actually know who makes budgets, and it isn’t the president. He signs it, or veto it.

We blame Democrats, Adam, we blame them 100%. But only because they are to blame. Not from ignorance or hate, like some blue-hatted people we know.

Democrats, proof that liberals should not be given power.

“Bari has spent nearly 3 TRILLION dollars of other people’s money…”

Can you outline which items add up to 3 trillion?

And remember that just because you spend tax money doesn’t mean you create a deficit with it. Look at the chart on the link I posted and tell me how it is wrong.

“…otherwise why sell GM stock NOW?”

Obama most likely felt the need to get out of GM was greater than the need to stay in and sell someday when a profit could be made. There was also no guarantee on future profits anyway. We are talking about GM here. They needed a bailout for a reason.

  3. Eoj Trahneir says:

We don’t question the fact that O’Dumma felt the need to get out of GM was greater than the need to stay in and sell someday when a profit, it is obvious.
The question on our mind is what is the point of buying stock if you intend to loose money? It defeats the entire objective of “stock.” By doing what he did, he screwed the US people twice, and further placed the “recovery” back two times. Once at purchase and once more at sales!

As for your first question, it isn’t our duty to prove your sad theory. It is for you to prove he didn’t.

    But in the spirit of bitch slapping Adam, a national sport, I submit proof;

One look is all it takes, dude.

I read that weasel-worded article you pointed to Adam, and I will only dignify it with one quote.
“If not for the tax cuts enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush that Congress did not pay for…”

That Congress didn’t pay for? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Does Congress make up for budget short-fall from their pockets? News to me!
“…the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that were initiated during that period…”
I seem to remember the entire floor of Senate standing to approve that war. And seem to remember O’Dummer keeping it going?
Not that I am against the war; I am not. Far from it. I think that is about the only valid use of tax-payer’s money; to kill Muslims, as many and as fast as possible. But I am not wrong, Muslims attacked USA, not Bush. The plans (to attack USA) were made on Clinton’s watch, because of Clinton’s nasty infidel sexual perverted policy, not Bush policy. This is America’s war, not Bush’s war.

“…and the effects of the worst economic slump since the Great Depression (including the cost of steps necessary to combat it), we would not be facing these huge deficits in the near term.”
Actually, accurately, if we didn’t have an administration that thought fighting the economic slump with the same proven false tactics that gave us the First Great Depression, we would not be in the second depression now.

That is the problem with liberal thinking; liberals think any “new” idea has to be tried, even if it has been tried before and THEY just forgot it didn’t work the first time.
