As far as the BP oil spill, if they had not insisted on mile deep water instead of 500 feet deep, we wouldn’t have this problem, now would we?
As far as Berwick’s recess appointment, having gone through surgery, I KNOW what my Doc and a few others I have talked to think of him and the way he will ration care in the Medicare and Medicaid systems.
As he said himself, ” It is NOT WHETHER we ration care, but whether we ration care with our eyes open.”
That is, to me a fairly damning statement, considering that most all, IF NOT ALL of the recipients of these programs are toward the end of their lives.
Say goodbye to your Nana, Adam, because these programs, under Berwick, will not pay for much of the care she might need.

And you would be wrong. You might remember that I was against the last amnesty they tried to ram through and that was Bush. I have opposed many things done by conservative leaders either because I did not agree with what they were doing, I viewed it as outside the limits of the Constitution or I did not like the way they were trying to get it done.

I apply those standards equally.

I am not freaked at the NASA thing. I just don’t think that the directive in any way has anything to do with the space program. If they said to see if there are some Muslim astronauts to take into space it would be one thing but what was directed is not the job of NASA and is not what taxpayer money should be spent on.
