What the heck happened to academia? It's been screwed up for decades. The teenager was not a gun owner because he is not old enough to own one. He used someone else's. Shots fired in small towns. I did not say that small towns never have shootings, just that the largest number come from big cities. Also, most of those are because of people who have guns illegally. Legal gun owners commit very few gun crimes. You say to hunt down all the gun owners and lock them up. How will you hunt down someone who has the means to resist? Secondly, gun ownership is a Constitutionally protected right as is the right for women to vote. How about if we just decided that women screw up too many elections (see Bill Clinton) so we hunt them down and take away their right to vote? Why not take away the right to free speech and the right to a free press while we are at it? Or would you just have us select the rights you don't like to eliminate? The problem is when they actually do own them. Just this week in a SMALL TOWN on the Eastern Shore, a teenager lost his temper and shot his mom's boyfriend. Not to mention two other gun related murders and a report of shots fired, all in SMALL TOWNS. The second amendment is cold comfort for the families of these victims.
