No Way in Hell I’d be a Muslim for a Day

…or for any amount of time.

A school in the UK forced faculty and students to dress up as Muslims for a day to belatedly celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid. Most of the students are Christians and only two teachers are Muslim but everyone was forced to dress as Muslims. There was also a gathering but men were not allowed there because Muslim men do not like their women mixing with other men. Many of the people involved are not happy about this but went along anyway to protect their jobs and keep from being labeled a racist.

First of all, Muslim is not a race so that is out the door but even if it were factual they could call me anything they wanted because there is no way in hell I would have gone along with this. My children are grown and out of school but I can promise that my grandson will never participate in this kind of activity. Those who chose to do this rather than fight it have already indicated they are comfortable with being Dhimmis.

Imagine what the outcry would have been had a school full of Muslims been forced to dress as Jesus to celebrate Christmas? CAIR and every other group would be crying the blues about forcing a religion on other people and I would agree with them.

We have too many double standards in this world but I, for one, would never, ever, submit to this kind of stupidity. They could fire me, call me racist and say anything they wanted but there is just no way I would submit.

The world as we know it is coming to a very abrupt end and the Dhimmis are helping it along.

Of course, it is Halloween so maybe these folks are dressed as horrible monsters. I know I said never but I might actually do it for Halloween and go with a sword and a severed head. That would surely get some attention.

    BD,
I think the PC needs to stop. If these people are so touchy they really need to get the hell out of Dodge. I don’t care if they are offended. I’m sure I would be offended in their country. In the first Gulf War when I was told that the women in the military could not leave the base with out correctly being dressed in a berka to cover themselves so not to offend the Saudi’s, I went balistic. I know a friend said she never left the base. She refused to wear the berka. But we have to walk on eggs to keep from offending them? I will do what I have always done in my country, if someone doesn’t like it, then we can go outside to discuss it.

I was glad to see that Laura Bush in her recent trip did not give in to the retard thinking when she was sitting in the middle of a bunch of women covered up to their eyeballs. Also Condi never gives in to their crap.

You are right I would never let my grandchildren take part in to being forced to dress up like a muslim. My kids are grown too, they wouldn’t go along with it either.

We need someone in charge to stand up and tell these nuts “you don’t like our country” then leave. I’ll call and get them reservations out.

  3. I, too, posted on this, back to back with my post about Laura Bush’s donning of the abaya. Laura Bush did cave. Does she even know that?

Every day, I feel as if I’m going to explode. I dread turning on my computer because all I see is dhimmitude and appeasement.

You’re fired, Big Dog. And as more people depend on government for jobs (that’s the primary purpose of government today), more people will be forced to join in or be jobless. Then, when you ask for a government handout because you can’t work, they’ll again force to you comply or get nothing. Welcome to the underground.

Wait now. Let’s not get too coo koo on this issue. On one hand I think maybe this massive dress up thing was a bit too much, but on the other hand let’s not go too far and forget the need to respect other’s cultures and impart a sense of goodwill to our allied countries and their residents. Having a crazy dress up day is not on the level of wearing of the scarf, and wearing it is not caving in.

We’ve lost a lot of respect overseas because of our attitude towards other nations. Let’s face it. We need that respect more than we like to admit. I’m not saying we change who we are to please people, just that we open our minds a bit and remember that there are other countries with rich culture, heritage, and beliefs that differ from our own.

Furthermore, we are not in conflict with Islam in itself, we are in conflict with the radicals who distort Islamic tradition and law to prey on weak and impoverished people in Islamic regions of the world. The way I see it, many conservatives are focused on the aspect of looking weak and retreating as a way of losing this battle. I think that if we use these bass-ackwards cave dwelling primitive retards as an excuse for the exercising of religious intolerance then the terrorists are sure to win.

Frankly I think you should take comfort in the fact that we are fighting radicals and not the faith itself. The 1 billion Muslims in the world would pose quite a challenge.

I don’t agree with you on most of this. The only reason we have lost respect is because we don’t coward down to silly demands and EU rules and taxes and other nonsense (Global warming anyone?) The world will never be “satisfied” with America until America starts giving away a great deal of our tax dollars- sharing our wealth- to all the programs that history has proven do not work. I think Americans are the most open minded people in the world (look at what we tolerate as a nation as proof.)

The world is displeased with America because we are a nation of people for the people and not government controlled. IOW we’re not sheep. We value hard work- well some of us do anyway- and the fruits of our own labor. Some of us don’t wish to rely upon a socialist government to take care of us.

Islam on a whole is not the enemy but there are enough people on all sides who wish to coward down so as not to offend. We need to draw the line on this foolishness. It’s petty and stupid and Europe is leading the appeasement path once again. When they say ok to dress codes and medical units and special schools for Muslims, whats next?

It is amazing to me that in this country people demand that we remove the words Under God from our pledge, remove God from our money, remvove all references to God from everything including any type of prayer in school and then would say let’s play dress up to see how these people live their lives which is a lot about their religion.

They say 10% are the radicals so that makes millions of them and as far as I know, there are more Christians.

However, I would not do it and my grandchild will not do it EVER. If we wanted to live the Muslim culture we would be Muslims. Imagine how these people would act if we made all the Muslim females (teachers and students) take off their garb and expose some of their skin for western world dress up day? All the Muzzies would be running around screaming intolerance and all that crap.

I tolerate a lot of things. One thing I will not tolerate is being compelled to do this kind of crap. Forcing me to do it is the height of intolerance.

I do not need the respect of the world. I agree with Raven, people see us in a bad way out of jealousy. I have traveled all over the world and I always meet people who are envious and want to come here.

For such a terrible place there are sure a lot of them trying to get in.
