Ned Lamont Is A Typical Democratic Hypocrite

Ned Lamont, who is leading Joe Lieberman and will probably win the Democratic Primary, struck out against the left’s favorite target Wal Mart. Lamont criticized the company’s employment practices:

“This is about waking up Wal-Mart, and this is also about waking up corporate America,” Mr. Lamont said Wednesday at a Bridgeport rally against the retail giant, hosted by many of the same liberal bloggers who have boosted the former cable executive far ahead of Mr. Lieberman in the polls.
[…]
“We believe that universal health care is a basic right for each and every American,” Mr. Lamont said. “It won’t take me 18 years to go down to Washington, D.C., and get that done.”

The left is upset at what they perceive to be unfair practices by Wal Mart. They don’t pay enough, they don’t offer affordable health care (they list 11 choices on their website), and they are not union. OK, I threw in the not union part because that is what this is all about. The left is trying to help its union cronies get their dirty feet in the Wal Mart door and Wal Mart, will have none of it.

While Ned was at the anti Wal Mart event criticizing the company his family was making money from the Wal Mart stock they own. Seems Ned feels it is OK to own stock in this company and then go out and beat the Democratic drum against it. Ned’s family owns tens of thousands of dollars on Wal Mart stock but the only thing the moonbats could focus on was the $1000 that Lieberman received from them as a donation. Lieberman said the donation was returned a week after it was received but that will not stop the tide of dump Joe donks in Connecticut. Ned of course, did not tell the gathering that he owned stock in the company. Right now it appears as if Ned could own Wal Mart outright and as long as he stays opposed to the war he will have enough support to win next Tuesday.

I do not agree with Lieberman’s political views, or most of them anyway, but he is one of the few donks to actually stick to his principles and put America’s security above his own interests. I applaud him for having the guts to stick by the President with regard to the war and other aspects of national security. I am sure Lieberman will lose but then he will run in the General election as an Independent. It would be funny to see him win and then change to the Republican Party. I doubt he will do that but it would be funny if that one decision gave Republicans a veto proof majority. Who would have the last laugh then?

Anyone think the left will demand that Ned sell his Wal Mart stock? They chided Lieberman for a donation he did not solicit so it is only fair for them to demand Lamont sell his stock. That won’t happen because Ned is another do as I say moonbat and he is the darling of the moonbats who oppose Bush.

  1. Obsessions…

If Conservative bloggers were posting in 2000 they would have been villifying the junior Senator from CT. Deservedly so too, Lieberman wanted to disenfranchise our fighting men and women. Is that someone conservatives should be supporting?

    I guess…..
