Murtha And The Civil War

“Our troops are the target,” Murtha told the newspaper. “We’re not fighting terrorism in Iraq. We’re fighting a civil war in Iraq. We’ve got to give them an incentive. We fought our Civil War. Let them fight their civil war.”
A civil war would indicate that two (or more) sides are fighting AGAINST each other for control of a country. These would be people from that country and would have some vested interest in the outcome. Our opposition comes from terrorists, many of them imported, who want to force Islamic law on the world. We are winning the war on terror despite the best efforts of the Democrats to interfere and cause us to lose. Murtha can not see that because he is busy pushing for our defeat in any way he can. Our soldiers are tired, they want to come home, they are fighting a civil war. This guy has more positions than the Kama Sutra
Ultimately, our troops will come home but only when we have finished our mission. To the donks, that mission is losing but to the rest of us, losing is not an option.

Heh!
Now, you know if Murtha had only been involved in the Civil War, the South woulda won. Unless, of course, Murtha was advising Robert E. Lee :: shudder::
I’m guardedly optimistic about Iraq!
