MSM Reports ABC Caved

My Way News is reporting on the ABC mini series The Path to 9/11. The article describes the scenes that were cut out of the original film. Most conservatives believe the items were cut out because ABC caved in to the pressure of the Democratic party and its iconic leader Bill Clinton.

One scene cut was where a remark was made about Clinton being to worried or preoccupied with impeachment to effectively take on Osama bin laden. There is no doubt that the Clintonistas got to ABC and had this pulled. The Clinton clan believes if they deny or ignore something long enough it will go away or become irrelevant. That is why there is no mention whatsoever, of the Lewinsky fiasco in the Clinton Library and nudie bar in Little Rock.

It is amazing that ABC would take the word of known liars over the word of people who served honorably but then again we have always known the MSM is terribly liberal and they demonstrate their bias each and every day. The article at My Way News concludes very well with:

John Lehman, another Republican commission members, said on the ABC News show that he’s told the film is equally harsh on the administrations of President Bush and his father, former President George H.W. Bush.

“And if you don’t like the hits to the Clinton administration, well, welcome to the club,” Lehman said. “The Republicans have lived with Michael Moore and Oliver Stone and most of Hollywood as a fact of life.”

Not that I ever placed much stock in what anyone at a major network had to say but this incident will always leave ABC suspect in my mind. When I see reports or shows I will always believe that the truth is not there because they changed things to fit an agenda. This is the same feeling people had after the CBS phony document scandal. It would appear as if the blatant disregard for the truth that permeated at CBS now hovers over the people at ABC.

Disney is the parent company? How appropriate since they seem to be running a Mickey Mouse operation.

UPDATE:
Some must have blinked. In the interest of fairness I am making a correction. I indicated that no mention of Lewinsky or the affair was to be found in the Clinton Library. No one I know recalls seeing it when they went through. Turns out, there is a passing mention of it and that most of the issue is presented as a personal attack on him, you know part of the VRWC and not really his fault.

Blink during your tour of the Bill Clinton presidential library and you might miss his impeachment, while only the closest scrutiny will yield any mention of Monica Lewinsky.
~snip~
“The impeachment battle was not about the constitution or rule of law, but was instead a quest for power that the president’s opponents could not win at the ballot box,” the text concludes.

The scrutiny must not have been good enough. A commenter makes a good point that one would not expect him to make a big deal out of it. Of course not, but if he is so concerned about the truth as he claims in the objection to the movie why not at least take the blame and move on instead of a passing mention that lays blame on others with an agenda. Same with the book. It is all about rewriting history. To be fair though, it was pointed out to me and I checked. This is what happens when people blink.

I think Iriana’s Pizza is as close as you’ve come to the Clinton Library. I wouldn’t spread lies about it if I were you.

  2. Big Dog says:

Oh how little you know for I have been much closer. Unless they have changed that library there is nothing about that whole affair in it.

  3. Big Dog says:

Funny though, I would have thought a staunch liberal like you would docus on the censorship and not on the remark about the library and nudie bar. You instead attacked me and not the argument. Typical….

Oh, and if you can show that I am wrong about what is in the library and nudie bar, feel free.

  4. Adam says:

Excuse me, but I’ve seen stuff with my own eyes there about the “affair” and I’ve verified this with somebody else who also saw it. For solid proof I offer just the regret that I didn’t
    take photos.

There is certainly less about it than say the record of economic growth during those years. Of course Clinton is going to emphasize the positive and try to hide the negative, but to say that nothing about the events is in the library is just a joke. If you have been inside then I think you missed a pretty big chunk of information.

As for the 9/11 film I just don’t care. I haven’t seen it, don’t want to see it. I thought our history together would allow me to slice a bit out of the whole post and argue about it but apparently not. It was my fault. I forgot how you want to stay exactly on topic in every comment thread.

I will say that I have not seen anything in the library about it and someone i know who went a little over a year ago said that she too did not see anything. However, I have seen some news articles that indicate it is mentioned in passing as in “I was not forthcoming with regard to my relationship.”

So, for clarity, I did not see it and it might or might not have been present then but some small mention is as of now.

As for what you pick out fee free to pick on any part you want but that is the most trivial.

It’s true it is a trivial part of the post but I just found it ironic that before you reminded us that these people are “known liars” you tell a lie of your own. There has been and still is a display that mentions the affair and the impeachment. You’ll find the year by year breakdown on the 2nd floor I believe. It would be hard to gloss over such a huge part of those later years.

  7. Big Dog says:

I did not tell a lie. A lie is a deliberate attempt to deceive and I made no such attempt. I made a mistake and once that mistake was pointed out I corrected it, which you will see in the post.

I think it is easy to gloss over. Little mention of something and the attempt to blame it on the VRWC make it very easy. Clinton and his people lied, I made a mistake. If Clinton were in error on a fact it would be one thing. He deliberately attempted to deceive and the only thing that kept him from being successful was a blue dress.

I hope that clears it up for you. I am in error sometimes but have no need to lie. I would hope that people can see the difference.

  8. Adam says:

I take back the lie then. Good day.
