Move On Hides Smear Of Petraeus

General David Petraeus was a punching bag for the people at MoveOn, a George Soros organization that is dedicated to supporting Barack Obama and his Socialist agenda. MoveOn is the cheer leading section for Obama and it uses Soros’ vast resources to hide the truth and to rewrite history with regard to Obama so it should come as no surprise that this organization has removed its assault on Petraeus from its website.

In a classic example of liberal hypocrisy, the far-left leaning, George Soros-funded group MoveOn.org has removed its controversial “General Betray Us” ad from its website.

For those that have forgotten, shortly after General David Petraeus issued his report to Congress in September 2007 concerning the condition of the war in Iraq and the success of that March’s troop surge, MoveOn placed a full-page ad in the New York Times with the headline, “General Petraeus or General Betray Us?” Newsbusters

The removal occurred sometime after the 18th and there is no doubt it was done when Obama named Petraeus to take McChrystal’s place in Afghanistan. After all, the ad was on MoveOn for YEARS and disappeared just as Petraeus was announced.

This is nothing more than cowardice and the MoveOn folks doing whatever it takes to push the agenda of Obama. Petraeus was a bad guy when he was conducting the surge in Iraq because Bush was president. Now that Obama occupies the White House and wants Petraeus to pull his gonads out of the fire, MoveOn removes the ad.

Petraeus was a bad guy but now he is a good guy just like Colon Powell was. He was evil when he worked for George Bush but a hero when he endorsed Obama (because of his skin color).

It is all about hypocrisy. MoveOn is a BS Socialist organization funded by the cretin George Soros and they, along with Media Matters, protect Obama and the Socialist agenda. They want to control the world and get rich at our expense and they want to do it by pushing Obama’s agenda to destroy transform America.

Screw MoveOn and George Soros. We know what you coward progressive morons did and we know why you did it.

The people who hang on every word you say or support what you do might be too mentally deficient to see it but the rest of us can.

Never surrender, never submit.

“We know what you coward progressive morons did and we know why you did it.”

Really? MoveOn is run by a bunch of folks that think if they remove a file that it will rewrite history and no one will remember on of the most significant pieces of work in the last decade? I think the conspiracy theory you’re repeating here makes very little sense.

Ah, Soros. The Right’s favorite boogieman I think. Soros has given how much to MoveOn? How much to Media Matters? How much money has Soros made because Obama sent liberals to blow up that oil rig?

  2. MoveOn, like every other left-wing organization, believes passionately in careful “message management.” After all, it’s just a corollary of the leftist belief that our beliefs and opinions determine what’s real.

In this particular case, the object of MoveOn’s message management is its own loyalists. Those of us who pay attention to actual events haven’t forgotten the “BetrayUs” campaign. But MoveOn must carefully shepherd its partially-awake allegiants away from any suspicion that their leaders, including The Won Himself, might adjust their views according to what’s politically convenient.

So few persons are willing to admit to error, these days. Almost no one on the political Left.

“Almost no one on the political Left.”

I have to disagree it’s not almost no one but, NO ONE on the political Left will admit to error.

Exactly Francis. What MoveOn did was to remove the ad to control the message (Alinsky). They can’t have their messiah look like a dolt for picking a man who “betrayed us” a few short years ago when a Republican was in charge.

Leave it to Adam Alimsky to attempt to change the message by throwing in the Red Herrings and discussing things that are not part of the issue.

Soros spent 23 million dollars to defeat Bush and spent 5 million on moveon.

    Quite a bit of money…

    • Adam says:

“Exactly Francis. What MoveOn did was to remove the ad to control the message (Alinsky).”

Once again you take something completely benign and turn it into a deep rooted conspiracy. MoveOn removed the ad? Well, that’s Alinsky message control! But wait, what about this article by Fox where they claimed Obama gave Arizona land to Mexico? Fox removed that page. Is that Alinsky style message control as well?

Sorry. You have no idea why MoveOn removed the ad and even if it was clearly motivated by recent events it’s still not some form of “message control” that my side specializes in.

“Leave it to Adam Alimsky to attempt to change the message by throwing in the Red Herrings and discussing things that are not part of the issue.”

Right. Questioning your whining about Soros, MoveOn, and Media Matters isn’t part of the issue? You forgot to mention the “state run media” or you would have covered all 4 things your side cries about regularly. I’m sorry that Soros supports progressive agenda. Not every billionaire in the world shills for your world view.

Only Adam would see that an ad that has been in place for YEARS and that was removed just prior to Obama appointing the target in the ad would say we don’t know why it was done but claim that Bush invaded Iraq for the oil with no evidence of that.

And Adam, you make this claim about Soros as if all the billionaires support Republicans. Look at Buffet, Gates, Jobs and Soros and tell me again who the billionaires are supporting.

Soros pushes progressives issues because he wants one world governance with rich people telling everyone else what to do. He is a typical old Nazi who wants to control the world.

Maybe FOX removed the article because they were in error. You can’t compare them. One is an issue that has been up for YEARS and the other a recent thing. Perhaps they archived or changed formats or made an error or were sued. Who knows but the two are not the same.

However, Obama might as well give it to them since we can’t use it (warnings tell us not to go there) and the illegals are free to use it.

It is only completely benign to you. Everything involving the manipulation of the story and the agenda is benign to you unless a Republican farts. Then it is a conspiracy to reinstate the draft (remember when you were on that kick and it turned out to be Dems sponsoring that bill).

And there is no whining here. That is one of the words you use when you know a valid point has been made and you hope people will drop it and move on. The attack is on me and not the issue.

Maybe we will get lucky and Soros will die so he can take over hell…

The air conditioning might finally get fixed.

    • Adam says:

“That is one of the words you use when you know a valid point has been made…”

Nice try. I can’t help but notice how your side constantly plays the victim when it comes to the TV media, liberal think tanks and organizations, or even news papers. Sarah Palin is the master of this, which is probably why your side is so excited still about her.

It’s just funny because your side controls the airwaves with talk radio, Fox opinion is the most watched on TV, there are numerous conservative publications, and conservative think tanks are decades ahead of their liberal counterparts. That’s not to mention how many huge and successful conservative blogs there are online. Yet, you spend so much time crying and whining about Alinsky, Hollywood liberals, ACORN, Soros, Media Matters, and even Fact Check that your side doesn’t even stand for anything significant anymore.

If I thought your side would be a permanent opposition party that would be fine but you’ll reclaim power sooner or later and in the absence of real policy you’ll drive the car into the ditch again. While we’re hobbling along on the side of the road looking for assistance you’ll stop and tell us it was all the fault of the Democrats and beg us to vote your side back into the drivers seat…and we will.

      • Big Dog says:

Oh yes, the blame game. It is not as if Obama has not pointed fingers at Bush for everything that goes wrong in his regime. Hell, the MSM blamed Bush for Gore’s separation.

We control the media? You cite FOX and while it is true that FOX has better ratings than any CABLE network, it is far behind even the lowest rated over the air media outlet. ABC, CBS and NBC news have higher ratings and they are all liberal.

FOX does well and beats the hell out of other cable networks because they spew all kinds of moronic stuff (ie: Olberdouche).

Of course, it could be that conservatives outnumber liberals by a 2:1 margin in this country or maybe people are waking to the fact that the MSM helped Obama into office and failed to fully vet him.

No one plays the victim except the liberals. The minorities, the gays, the poor, the you name it are all victims when the Democrats woo them. Pointing out that MoveOn removed an ad critical of Petraeus after Obama appointed him to run Afghnaistan is not playing the victim. It is showing the hypocrisy of the left.

And you can say that being the opposition party is OK but when they opposed based on ideology you labeled them the party of NO. When they used the same tactics Democrats used during the Bush years (tactics you said were perfectly OK) you condemn them.

The Democrat controlled Congress drove us into the ditch. Things were going pretty well until they took control. Then it all went to hell. There is no dispute in that. You can look and see that it all went downhill under Democrat control.

Funny, you blame Bush for what a Democrat Congress did and give Clinton Credit for what the Republican Congress did. I imagine though, if Republicans regain the majority you will blame them instead of Obama for whatever happens to go wrong.

Look in the mirror and you will see the victim.
