More On Our Flag

Recently we have had a running debate about Flag burning. Anyone who has followed knows that Adam is proud to be a Flag burner. I was reading his site and I noticed he has a picture of an elderly person who is wrapped in a blanket that has the design of our Flag on it. His title is “Today it is a blanket.” The obvious inference to those involved in the debate is “see this precious flag of yours is being used as a blanket.” I think that this misses the point completely.

First and foremost it was not being used as a blanket, it was a blanket. This was a blanket with the image of our Flag. But even if we take for granted that it was a Flag the inference is still off target. The Flag was not being desecrated, it was not being burned and it was not being urinated on. The Flag was wrapped around one of our most vulnerable citizens and protecting her. When you think about it, is not that what the Flag is a symbol of, the protection of our way of life and the freedoms we have come to take for granted?

This symbol of Freedom was wrapped around an elderly and frail person almost echoing those words from the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired…” Though this was a blanket and not a Flag it is obvious that the intent was not to desecrate or dishonor it. Unfortunately, there are those among us who are either unwilling or lack the ability to understand the difference.

    Uh, something like that…

Something like what. IT IS A BLANKET or are you too dense to see that? It is a blanket and it is not on fire it is protecting an elderly person. I might add that if some degenerate like you had burned it up she would not have it to keep warm.

But in case you are too dense to figure it out, the flag is not being used as a blanket, that is a blanket with a flag image on it. In any case it is not being desecrated. I guess you are too slow to figure all this out so whistle if it gets to far ahead of you.

You called me a degenerate? You called me dense? The flag is a blanket? In that case I should have called my entry “Today it is a blanket.” Oh wait, I did call it that, you stupid fu*king Nazi. You can read right? Act like it..

Great way to make an argument, use that foul mouth of yours. Do you kiss your mommy with that mouth or did she teach you to talk like that?

You wrote “today IT” where the it refers to a flag. You were saying a flag was being used as a blanket and that is not the case. That was not a flag it was a blanket so your argument is negated.

Therefore your entry was entitled incorrectly. Yes I can read. As a matter of fact I am a published author and have written a number of technical publications. I went to private school and have a very good education. One day you might be able to say you have the same but today would not be that day.

Anyone who burns a flag is a degenerate. I hope one day I am there when you light one off. We will have some real fun at that point in time, well I will. You will be part of a priceless ad.
