Media Bias Again! Say It Isn’t So

There is a mother of a service man who lost his life in Iraq making claims that the President was responsible for her son’s death and that he went to see her and acted like it was a party and did not know her son’s name and did not want to discuss him with her or look at the pictures she had. Wolf Blitzer asked Cindy Sheehan what she meant about party atmosphere and she replied:

“Yes, he came in very jovial, and like we should be happy that he, our son, died for his misguided policies. He didn’t even pretend like somebody…”

No one can blame a mother for her anguish at the death of her child. I would not deride this woman for her feelings if she actually had consistent feelings. You see, Wolf asks those tough questions but failed to ask why her tune had changed from what she told the media last year when she said:

“‘I now know he’s sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis,’ Cindy said after their meeting. ‘I know he’s sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he’s a man of faith.’

“The meeting didn’t last long, but in their time with Bush, Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son’s sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith.

“The trip had one benefit that none of the Sheehans expected.

“For a moment, life returned to the way it was before Casey died. They laughed, joked and bickered playfully as they briefly toured Seattle.

For the first time in 11 weeks, they felt whole again.

“‘That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together,’ Cindy said.”THE REPORTER of Vacaville, CA, June 24, 2004

Wolf did not ask her about that because the media does not want you to see the inconsistencies. They did not want to present that side of the story, only the side that is negative for the President. We also learned that this lady went to the John Kerry school of media relations. She did not think that people would remember what she said or that it would get out to everyone. Well, she was darn near right because of the way the liberal media covers things. If she had started out critical and then changed to understanding Blitzer would have been on that like Michael Moore on a steak sub.

As Surfside has pointed out on a number of occasions, there is a liberal bias in the media. Despite what the donks tell you, it is there and they do not even try to hide it.
