McCain Shatters Obama’s Secrecy

The Obama camp is upset with John McCain because he disclosed that the young Senator was on his way to the Middle East. The camp is upset because they have closely guarded the information regarding his departure even though the major networks have mobilized to follow him around like Bill Clinton following the scent of an intern.

For weeks now, Barack Obama has closely guarded the details of his planned fact-finding trips to Afghanistan and Iraq, citing security concerns.

But Friday, the Democratic presidential hopeful’s Republican rival, John McCain, may have let the secret out of the bag – infuriating some Obama supporters and putting Camp McCain on the defensive. Daily News

I understand the need for a certain amount of secrecy in order to ensure safety but the news has been abuzz about the anointed one and his trek across the world. The supposed “fact finding mission” is really a campaign ploy which explains why Obama has an army of advisers to keep him from making a mistake that might cost him votes. However, the reality of the situation is that a lot of people knew the Messiah was leaving the country and a lot had a pretty good idea when he was doing it.

Matter of fact, security is so tight that the New York Post has published Obama’s itinerary for the week. If anyone is looking to do him harm the Post has provided a wonderful chart showing exactly where he will be and with whom he will be meeting.

This is supposed to be a fact finding mission and not related to campaigning (we all know differently) so why is the Obama campaign upset. McCain let everyone know Obama is actually heading out to “find facts.”

One can bet this “fact finding mission” will involve a lot of media opportunities for the young Senator. He will be shown time and again by the sycophants in the media as an accomplished man who has a way with world leaders. The only facts that this mission is designed to provide are those “facts” that will show Obama as more than a novice in foreign affairs.

Besides, people had to know he was on the way. Whenever the Messiah is going somewhere an aura precedes him.

  1. I seem to remember a similar fact finding mission by McCain, last year, I think it was. The same thing, a photo op. So what’s the point here. A politician’s a politician. I could have looked that up in the dictionary.

Why not just come out and say it, BigDweeb? Your dream scenario would be one in which Obama is assassinated while visiting the middle east. It’s really the only way McSame would have a chance in November.

The Post is a right wing anti-Obama rag. You act like their publishing his itenerary is the equivilent of the Village Voice printing McCain’s cell number. Get a clue. You don’t get to New York much, do you?

No, that is where you are wrong. I would not want to see any harm come to Obama or any other member of our government regardless of party. It is your side that prays Bush or Cheney get killed on trips.

I do not wish death on political enemies. I wish them defeat. I pray for those who are sick and wish them well. I hate Ted Kennedy but you will not find an unkind word from me regarding his brain tumor.

You have a lot of anger issues. You need a man or a better lesbian lover.

Does it make you feel like a tough person to come here and call people names?

If you do not like my site you are free to never return. I won’t miss you, I promise.

  4. Bunny Colvin says:

Bush getting killed on a trip is the absolute worst thing that could happen. Honestly. I pray everyday that Bush is NOT harmed. Cheney would start the war with Iran within seconds of taking his hand off of the Bible.

I have no such issues. I am a man, and a heterosexual one at that. A “lesbian lover” would do me no good.

It doesn’t make me feel like a “tough person”. I call you names because your ignorance about so many things inspires me to do so. I just call them like I see them. And I see you as a fool.

I love your site. Sorry, I’m here to stay.

  5. Big Dog says:

Sorry for the mistake. With a name like Bunny I assumed you were a woman. I guess if Bambi was a male Bunny can be one as well.

How about you disagree with what I write and attack the argument and not the arguer. You are free to attack anything I write but let’s try to be civil.

You call them like you see them but that does not make them correct. You consider me ignorant when in fact, you could be the ignorant one with little understanding, since it is based upon how one looks at it.

You are welcome as long as you behave. You are here to stay but only so long as you can be civil.

  6. Big Dog says:

    BTW,
You only would not want Bush killed because it would give us Cheney. I don’t want any of them killed (from wither side) because it is wrong to wish death on those with whom we disagree politically.

Though I admit I hope the older ones get to their natural end as quickly as possible so we can finally replace them.

I also think it the outcome would have been different if the plane had hit the Capitol. Then they might have an idea about the danger.

  7. Bunny Colvin says:

No, I do not wish harm on ANY politician(including Cheney). It makes me sick to my stomach when people do so. And thats the honest truth.

What outcome? What danger? Please clarify.

  8. Scott says:

So Bunny who exactly in the Middle East would harm Obama? The Muslim terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah who have high hopes for his election? If our “enemies” love him and wouldn’t hurt him that leaves four alternatives; Israel, the Iraqis, the Afganis, and the US Military. Are you trying to imply that one of these groups would seek to harm Obama?

You know logic and a clear thought process can be useful sometimes, I suggest you try it. Also I found that personal attacks and threats to be the bread and butter of the left when they cannot win an argument logically. Sure some Conservatives sink to that level, but on a whole Conservatives are more respectful and civil than the Liberals. Compare sites like the Daily KoS (which BTW in gamer terminology means “Kill on Sight”) or the Huffington Post to most Conservative websites. Yeah you can dig up some fringe Conservative whackadoo’s site but the difference is that the two I mentioned are pretty well known and mainstream Liberal/Democrat sites.

    Scottie-

The Muslim terrorist groups may profess high hopes for an Obama election, but I’m very sure that they’d really prefer a repubber victory. These past 7.5 years of Bush/Cheney have worked out quite well recruitment-wise for them. Plus, if Obama becomes President, he might actually try to get bin Laden. The terr’sts surely don’t want that.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that there is most likely at least one person in each of Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan that would like to assassinate Barack Obama. The U.S. Military? I doubt there are any would be Obama assassins there.

As for your claim that conservatives are more respectful and civil than libs, nothing can be further from the truth. Was Rush (drug addict) Limbaugh’s impersonation of Michael J. Fox respectful and/or civil? He’s just a “fringe conservative whackadoo”, right? Oh no, he’s actually the highest-paid syndicated radio host in history.

Get a clue, dude. You live in a fantasy world.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  11. Scott says:

Prefer a Republican victory? I doubt it. Hmmm thousands of losses to the American military in Iraq and Afghanistan, their funding attacked, arms and munitions lost or captured…yeah I’m sure.

Compared to the Clinton years where they were at their strongest, made more attacks on US assets that culminated with 9/11 which was planned and put into motion under Clinton’s watch.

As for Bin Laden, well lets see…he hiding in rugged mountainous terrain that he and his allies have had years to prepare. The local population is sympathetic to his fanatical views and oh yeah he not even IN Afghanistan. One of the largest stumbling blocks to his capture is political, the stability and support of Pakistan whose borders we cannot enter without an incident. Also killing or capturing Bin Laden might not be the best way to neutralize him, that creates a martyr or symbol for them to rally around. Psychologically marginalize him by making his threats ineffective, keeping him on the run, and eliminating the effectiveness of his organization is far more effective on a broader level.

Also you are incorrect as usual, Howard Stern is the highest paid radio host. Rush got a deal for 400 million over 8 year period (until 2016)plus a 100 million signing bonus. That’s 50 million a year. Howard Stern got 500 million for 5 years from Sirrus in 2004 plus has received stock options that puts him up to 700 million.

“Combined with his original five-year, $400 million contract and the $220 million in stock Sirius granted him last January, the value of Stern’s total compensation has just topped $700 million”

Again Bunny I prove you wrong and misinformed at every turn. Also I don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh, I’d rather listen to NPR. Rush Limbaugh like Howard Stern has his following, those that listen to him because they hate him, and those that listen just because they what to hear what he’ll say next.

Since I don’t listen to Rush I don’t know what exactly was said but since MJF’s disease causes him to shake and that is a visual aspect how exactly did he “impersonate” him over the radio? The Google results bring back Rush first claiming MJF was exaggerating the physical movements caused by his disease to garner sympathy. Rush apologized for those remakes when proved wrong. He then said that MJF was allowing his disease to be used by Democrats to garner pity votes.

Excepts from a CBS news story on the event.

“I think this is exploitative in a way that’s unbecoming of either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox,” Limbaugh said on his syndicated show.

“All I’m saying is I’ve never seen him the way he appears in this commercial for Claire McCaskill,” says Limbaugh. “So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act, especially since people are telling me they have seen him this way on other interviews and in other television appearances.”

So Bunny what was mocking or uncivil about that? Again you seem to be spouting crap you’ve heard or read without checking the facts and get proven to be wrong and/or misinformed.

  12. Bunny Colvin says:

Thousands of losses to the American military in Iraq, indeed Scott. Over 4,000 of them last I heard. What a saddening statistic. Many on the w(R)ong side of the aisle act as if Democrats disregard these tragic deaths. They act as if we aren’t affected. As if none of us know or love someone killed in Iraq, Afghanistan or 9/11. Well, they are w(R)ong again, just like Scottie.

Ok so Howard Stern is the highest paid, not(R)ush the drug addict Limbaugh pig. My point was that Rush makes a good chunk of change. And that is because he has a large base of dedicated listeners. He is not some fringe figure, he is mainstream republicanism. And he mocks people with diseases. I don’t agree with such tactics. I don’t poke fun at the unfortunate. You might say that I make jokes about homosexuality, but I don’t view that as a “disease”, as you most likely do.

Scott, you can’t hang with me. You lack both the skills and the facts to back up your claims. Can’t see any oil rigs off the coat of SoCal? Open your eyes, chief. You might learn of few things.

Here’s a newsflash for Scottie: some radio shows keep video recordings of their productions. Some even allow fans to watch live on the internet(S). Rush impersonated Fox on the radio and the video was broadcast. You may need to work on your Google searching skills. First your Huntington Beach oil rig blunder and now this?

It’s a shame that (R)ush Limbaugh is wearing a Dye Preserve Golf Club shirt while he mocks Michael J. Fox. It’s one of my favorite tracks in Florida. Rush is a member there. I wonder if he does his Parkinson’s imitation at the member guest.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  15. Big Dog says:

I never saw anything wrong with Rush demonstrating what Fox looked like. He apologized for the misunderstanding that he had with regard to the situation but it is absolutely true that Fox said he sometimes does not take his medication so that the shakes are worse and has a better affect on camera.

Rush apologized and that is the end of the story. Jesse apologized for calling Obambi a bad word and all is well with the libs. Here is a news flash, people of all beliefs say nasty things but it is correct that libs have mastered it. They can do it and get away because they are the party of “compassion” blah, blah.

I think Michael J Fox plays his disease up to get what he wants. If that makes me bad, oh well.

  16. Big Dog says:

BTW, he sure made certain to take his meds when making films or TV shows where he was getting paid…

(Just in case Scottie tries to claim that it never happened. Or Big Dog tries to say that no video evidence exists, only a “painting”).

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  18. Big Dog says:

Bunny, I know it happened, I saw it and I don’t think it was that bad. Certainly no worse than the sick people who make fun of Limbaugh for having the disease of drug dependence. Anyone who did that is not allowed to criticize him for what he said about Fox or that person would be a hypocrite.

Drug dependence is a disease. Difference is, when a lib like Teddy Kennedy has it and kills a woman it is brushed aside. WHen Patrick Kennedy abuses drugs and has a wreck he needs help. When any number of Hollywood liberals get slammed for a DUI or drug bust they need help. Let a Conservative suffer drug dependence and he is a low life scum sucker.

Anyone can become addicted. Ask any smoker.

  19. Bunny Colvin says:

I wonder if Rush does a Ronald Reagan Alzheimer’s routine. It’s obvious that his listeners find it funny when he mocks a Dem- doubtful that a Reagan impersonation would be such a laugher to such “compassionate conservatives” however.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  20. Big Dog says:

Ronald Reagan never exploited his disease for personal gain like Fox did. If he had he would be fair game. But he was a lot classier than Fox and his exploitative ways.

  21. Bunny Colvin says:

Congrats on realizing that drug dependence is a disease. How big of you. This proves you’re more intelligent than many of your fellow repukes.

The FUNNY thing to me is that (R)ushie referred to Jerry Garcia as “another dead doper” the day he passed. Wonder if he’s as nonchalant when pondering his own mortality. HIGHly doubtful.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  22. Bunny Colvin says:

Was Nancy Reagan “exploiting” her husband’s disease when she pleaded for funding for stem cell research? You lose AGAIN- keep them coming, DogDirt.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  23. Big Dog says:

You obviously fail to see the difference between taking drugs recreationally like Garcia and becoming addicted to pain medications. If Garcia was addicted then he did so by willful misuse of illegal items. This opposed to the millions of people who become addicted to prescribed medication. People who smoke marijuana are breaking the law for the purpose of getting high, same as taking coke or heroin. These people are dopers.

You also have trouble determining the difference between exploitation and advocacy. Nancy gave a dignified appeal for stem cell research. Fox did not take his medication so his tremors would be greatly pronounced in order to garner sympathy.

If he had not done so then it would have been no problem and that was the gist of Limbaugh’s complaint, that it was exaggerated (which it was without the medication).

I don’t lose, it only makes sense to those with sense. I also know a great deal about drug addiction, treatment, testing programs and all kinds of other things.

A lot of conservatives understand addiction. They also know what breaking the law is.

  24. Bunny Colvin says:

Now I understand. Addiction to legal substances (alcohol, tobacco, oxycontin, xanax) is justifiable, however those who become addicted to illegal drugs (marijuana, coke, heroin) deserve all of the tribulations that come their way. Compassionate conservatism at its most hypocritical.

You know less about drug addiction than you give yourself credit for, Dr. Dog.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  25. Big Dog says:

That is not what I said and you do not understand. Not everyone who uses an illegal substance becomes addicted. People who use drugs recreationally are abusing them to get high. If they become addicted they need treatment and if they get treatment and do well fine. The treatment does not excuse them from punishment for illegal activity. Limbaugh received punishment.

Also, it is the libs who go after a conservative with an addiction but excuse their own, as I pointed out before.

And that would be Registered Nurse Dog, not doctor Dog. I know quite a bit about drug addiction and, unless you have a degree in medicine, I have forgotten more about medicine than you will ever know, drug addiction included.

  26. Bunny Colvin says:

I sure hope I’m never in your ambo. You’ve forgotten much about medicine indeed.

Bunny Colvins last blog post..Lost In Translation?…Nope!

  27. Big Dog says:

I don’t ride in an ambo any longer but if I ever have to care for you then you will get the best care around.

No, I have forgotten little, it is just more than you will know.
