Maybe If They Were Less Worried About Gay Marriage

Looks like California is going further down the tubes. While an activist judge with a homosexual bias (he is gay) disregarded the wishes of over 7 million people and while people are sashaying around celebrating the shredding of Constitutional Law (at either the state or federal level) the state of California is falling off the planet.

California is home to lots of very rich people and the state taxes everything imaginable. Unfortunately, it has a plethora of union workers (particularly public sector workers) who suckle the teat of government and have bankrupted the system. California has too many unions, too many public sector employees, too many illegal aliens and too many welfare programs. It cannot afford all of this.

The state intends to issue IOUs to those who are owed money:

State Controller John Chiang said Tuesday that without a state budget, California’s government would be unable to pay its bills in late August (or maybe early September). That means issuing IOUs to some people. Possible dates for IOUs could be either Aug. 27 or Aug. 31, when big payments to schools are due, according to this schedule on the controller’s website. NBC Los Angeles

The IOUs are a result of not having a budget but the reason there is no budget is because they cannot balance one. They owe more than they take in and they have not figured out how to cut what needs to be cut in order to get out of debt.

While the Governor and the courts are occupying their time worrying about gay marriage, the state is drowning and there is no hope in sight.

But like the passengers of the Titanic, they will have a gay ole time while the ship sinks…

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Boy o boy- I would be HOT, HOT, HOT if my employer issued me an IOU- matter of fact, I would take something that is valuble to him- there is ample precedent for this in my view.
When I worked for a building contractor, and he came to us on Christmas eve and told us he had no money to pay us- well, the rest of the crew took all his tools and pawned them- we told him he could have the tickets when he gave us the rest of what he owed us- he did.

And the more CA embraces homosexuality, the more disasters will hit that state. You cannot mock God and get away with it.

  3. Blake says:

It is really not about mocking God, in my opinion, Barbara- I do not feel that God loves Homosexuals less- but it IS about definitions and, to paraphrase Bubba Clinton, what the definition of “marriage” is- and that is THE thorny question, because ever since the Bible was written, the definition has been that of a Man and a Woman- and it is the progressives that keep trying to change definitions, so that they can move the “acceptable” boundaries.
But the argument that if you allow Gays to marry, the next step is pologamy, then beastiality is a valid argument in the progressives’ eyes, although they will deny it- this is how they work.
Now, am I in favor of the Gay community to have the same committal rights and priveleges that the rest of us have? Yes- to a point- civil unions are or should be acceptable- but to force a church to go against their teachings and dogma, in order to “marry” Gay people, is wrong.
This is, however, how progressives begin to marginalize religion, how they try to make religion count for nothing, for if one loses their faith, they have indeed lost the bedrock of their existance.

As a resident of CA, I can say that the governor does not appear to be concerned with gay marriage at ALL, nor the wishes of voters.
