Kofi Anus Blames Israel, What A Surprise

UN Secretary General Kofi Anus did not condemn Hezbollah or declare they had broken any UN Resolutions when they sneaked into Israel and killed soldiers while kidnapping other who have yet to be released. All he could talk about was the disproportionate response. He condemned Israel when they killed UN “Observers” yet was silent when it was learned that Hezbollah was firing from the UN position. So does it surprise anyone that he would condemn Israel for a raid designed to stop the resupply of arms to Hezbollah?

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Saturday that an early-morning Israeli raid against Hezbollah in eastern Lebanon violated the 6-day-old cease-fire brokered by the United Nations. An Israeli officer was killed, and two soldiers wounded, when Israeli commandos raided a Hezbollah stronghold deep in Lebanon, resulting in a fierce gunbattle.

Kofi Anus said that Israel violated the cease fire but does not part of the deal require Hezbollah to stop aggressive acts? It seems to me that rearming is an act of aggression. Instead of having people there to ensure Hezbollah plays by the rules the UN is standing by and watching, as they have done for years, while Hezbollah gets more arms with which to strike Israel. It is time for Israel to tell Kofi to go screw himself and them attack Hezbollah with all the fury possible.
