Katrina Is Bush’s Fault

Newsmax is reporting that it did not take long for liberal bloggers to blame hurricane Katrina on George Bush. Of course, the bloggers, as usual, lack any facts in their outrageous assertions.
A handful of liberal bloggers have wasted no time politicizing the Hurricane Katrina disaster, alleging that the Iraq war has stripped New Orleans of National Guard protection and blasting President Bush for not dealing with global warming.
“So far today, I’ve looked at Global Warming and Katrina and the crisis resulting from Louisiana’s National Guard being in Iraq instead of defending their state,” complains the “Swing State” blog.
Louisiana has about 11,500 members in its National Guard. About 3000 are deployed. 3500 have been called to duty for the hurricane and the balance can be called up if needed. I am pretty sure that it does not matter where the National Guard is, the hurricane would still come. Note to libs, when they say the President of the United States is the most powerful man in the World, they are not implying he has this kind of power. As for global warming, a theory that has yet to be proved, the theory has existed for a long time so I doubt Bush caused it.
Some more lunacy:
Over at the “American Blog,” they’ve started a “Hurricaine[sic] Bush Vacation Watch,” which is “keeping a tab on whether Bush is going to return to Washington to deal with this historically devastating hurricane, or whether he’s going to stay on vacation while a major American city faces imminent disaster.”
“Can’t you just see Bush staying on vacation while all this happens THEN touring the damage like he’s some kind of concerned hero?” the American Blogger griped.
First of all, what do they want him to do? Should he put on a red cape and fly into the hurricane and blow it back to sea? They all just complained that he wastes fuel when he travels now they want him to fly back to DC so he can fly back down south. Wouldn’t it make more sense and save fuel if he just went there from Crawford? Who said the libs had any sense?
This is the same prattle they had when the tsunami hit. What is Bush going to do? Well what the hell can he do? I am really glad that Bush was not alive about 2038 years ago or the ancient libs would have blamed him for Jesus getting nailed to the Cross.
More things Bush is responsible for:
- Extinction of dinosaurs
- The Holocaust
- The Dark Ages
- The plague
- The Civil War
- Watergate
- Monica Lewinski
Anyone care to add to the list?
Big Dog Salute to DS.

Don’t forget the Dodo Bird. If it wasn’t for people like you and George W. Bush we’d still be injoying that great creature! Shame. Shame on you….
Adam, I thought you were walking proof the Dodo is still alive…
No. I’m just proof that the mental disorder of Conservatism can be overcome in day to day life. I’ve got my coin and everything…
Liberals have overcome conservatism for years. Right after their lobotomies…
Was that coin a government handout?
Overreact much?
Why is there no tongue-in-cheek smiley?
OK NM, you have to sit in the corner with your gum on your nose.
I agree, those liberal bloggers overreact too much! Wow, to make claims about the hurricane like that and sully Katrina’s good name by associating it with GWB.
My tongue in cheek smiley went on a date with my Lewinski smiley and I have not seen it since.
I always suspected lobotomies were invented by Republicans to use on the people who know conservatism is wrong. I guess now we know…
Yeah, the coin was a government handout. How else do liberals get things?
fu*k … testing to see if it works.
No, if we wanted to end liberalism we would not do lobotomies, we would only allow doctors to abort liberal babies.
You could have stolen it, which is the other way they get anything…..
Your turn
I heard a caller on a radio show last night say the Bush administration created Katrina so Bush’s oil buddies could make more money. The host didn’t quite know how to respond to the insane nature of the claim. 🙂
How would you tell the liberal babies from the conservative ones?
Gasoline prices.
Oh, hey Big dog. I like your gravitar thing. I set one up on my website too. I have a few suggestions though.
First suggestion is that you should adjust the width of this comment textarea, it’s overlapping and looks bad.
Second suggestion is that you should change your id=”gravitar” to class=”gravitar” then in your css file change #gravitar to .gravitar
Just because “id’s” aren’t meant to be repeated.
Thanks Kelt.
I will take a look at it and try to make the changes. I am a novice at the CSS/HTML stuff and appreciate the help.
The comment area looks good on my computers in FF and IE. What browser are you using and what is the screen size (so I know what is affected).

Kelt, I believe I was able to correct the problem you noticed. Let me know if it does not appear correctly.
Thanks,
BD
I KNOW I KNOW – the liberal babies are the ones already lacking gray matter in utero (in vivo)? One quick scan and we can be done with this little matter…. Is that the correct answer? Sorry – just had to go there, too much back-and-forth to not join in. :lol_tb:
