Iran Ran From The Table

There has been a big stink over Iran’s development of nuclear technology for some time now. Iran says that it is developing nuclear power to produce electricity. There is doubt in many countries that this is actually the case with Israel probably being the most skeptical. Iran can claim that they only want to produce electricity but this actually makes no sense since they already have a vast amount of cheap oil. It would probably cost them more to run the reactor than to just use oil. Also, if they are developing for peaceful purposes, why are the reactors spread a around in about nine locations and buried deep underground? If this is truly peaceful why take a defensive posture?

The President has stated and reaffirmed today that all options are on the table in dealing with this situation. He specifically would not rule out military action when asked. Now I know the left will get its collective panties in a wad over this because they will not read any further. After the President said he would consider military action their auditory processors became numb and they suffered cochlear meltdown. Therefore, they did not hear, nor will they pay much attention to, the President’s remarks about diplomacy.

Bush made clear he still hoped for a diplomatic solution, noting that EU powers Britain, Germany and France had taken the lead in dealing with Iran.

Washington last week expressed a willingness to give negotiations on Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons program more time before getting tougher with the country.

“In all these instances we want diplomacy to work and so we’re working feverishly on the diplomatic route and we’ll see if we’re successful or not,

Washington will even ask for UN sanctions if Iran continues to defy global demands. The only drawback is that we will have to wait for 14 years to decide the sanctions did not work. It is worth noting in all this that Iran walked away from the negotiations with the EU, which the US has stayed out of. It would seem that now the EU is upset. Perhaps since they can actually see this threat they will not be so lame in supporting us this time.

Israel has the biggest worries in all of this. They are surrounded by countries that do not believe Jews should be alive. They are a bloody fish in a sea of sharks and the constant danger will be intensified if one of the sharks develops nuclear weapons. I have no doubt that one of these Arab nations would nuke Israel if they could. They know that all Arab nations would join together to defend them because they were able to rid the world of the Jews. This is just one reason we need to ensure Iran does not develop nuclear weapons.

I have a feeling that Israel will not let this drag on too long. If Iran does not comply we will see Israel take matters into its own hands.
