If I Voted For McCain…

…I was told I would be getting a third term of George W. Bush.

I voted for Sarah Palin, same result though as Barack Obama has now used military force in Libya to help topple a dictator who is slaughtering his people. That is what George Bush did in Iraq and the left was vehemently opposed. We were told that it was a quagmire and that we were nation building, all things the left opposes. Barack Obama was not in the Senate at the time as he was busy voting present in Illinois but he did assure us he would have voted against military action in Iraq.

I guess the people of Iraq who were being murdered by a brutal dictator do not carry the same weight as those in Libya. Oh I know, Bush talked about weapons of mass destruction but that was only about three of the twenty or so items in the authorization for force but why let the others get in the way of lefties screaming and hollering over military action.

Despite what Obama claimed and how superior he was supposed to be, it looks like he is a lot like George Bush in certain areas and this is not sitting well with his base. Drudge has this on his front page:

MARCH 19, 2011
OBAMA: ‘Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world’…

MARCH 19, 2003
BUSH: ‘American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger’…

Let us see how the left handles Mr. Obama and his blatant aggression against another nation. I mean, who is he to tell the leader of another country what to do? Isn’t that what he and everyone like him screamed about with regard to Bush?

I doubt that we will send troops into Libya but we have launched missiles into that country and that is an act of aggression.

So where is Code Pink? Where are the left wing loonies and their cries over this aggression?

My guess is they are oblivious to it because their messiah Obama is the one doing it. They did not mind when Clinton launched missiles and they do not mind Obama doing it.

The D after their names allows them to do such things.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

“That is what George Bush did in Iraq and the left was vehemently opposed.”

You seem to want to believe the left was opposed to the goals in Iraq and not simply the means Bush used to achieve those goals. For the record the left loves Freedom (don’t tell Ogre, he’s too detached from reality due to over exposure to idiots like Ron Paul). We just don’t like the kind of freedom the right spreads around which seems to always conveniently benefit their biggest supporters like Halliburton.

“So where is Code Pink? Where are the left wing loonies and their cries over this aggression?”

Yes, it’s been HOURS since the missiles were launched. Why is Code Pink not protesting outside the White House yet? Hypocrites!

    • Adam says:

      Oh, wait.

Here’s Cindy Sheehan using sarcasm to issue her disapproval of the US actions against Libya.

Here is Code Pink suggesting nothing good will come of bombing Libya.

Here is ANSWER calling for stopping the bombing of Libya.

Woops. Another one of this site’s talking points goes up in smoke after a short check of the facts.

Oh wait, most of these were out after the post was written but don’t let that get in your way. When these groups are out protesting and marching then you can say something about it. They are expressing their dissatisfaction as opposed to when Bush was in and they were calling him a warmonger.

Once again, Adam will defend the very things he opposed.

“Oh wait, most of these were out after the post was written but don’t let that get in your way.”

That’s funny. All three were published before your post. You got caught not checking your facts before you called people hypocrites but you can’t fix that by spinning a lie. Sheehan published on the 17th. ANSWER’s post was about a protest on the day of the 19th in opposition to the war and was published sometime before 10 PM based on when the first ReTweets started. Code Pink’s date is clearly 4:36 PM Mar 19th.

“When these groups are out protesting and marching then you can say something about it.”

I guess you failed to read the post by ANSWER which was a record of the protests across the US in opposition to Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya? It’s better if you read the things I like to that prove you wrong instead of simply pretending the facts don’t exist.

“They are expressing their dissatisfaction as opposed to when Bush was in and they were calling him a warmonger.”

No, the opposition has already begun on the backs of the annual protest of the Iraq war. Just like with Iraq they were protesting in the streets before the US ever dropped a single bomb. It’s what they do. They’re too far left to not be consistent on this cause.

  2. Big Dog says:

It did not take the left hours to protest after Iraq. Yes, benefit Haliburton. Seems to me it was also Bill Clinton who awarded no bid contracts to that company but don’t think about that Adam, it destroys your BS argument.

As I predicted though, you jumped right in to defend Obama for doing the exact same thing bush did. You rationalize by saying that the reasons are different or the companies who benefit are different but that is just your way of justifying your support or Obama and his regime.

    • Adam says:

Uh oh. I suggested your facts were wrong so therefore I support the war! If I told you I thought you were wrong on your facts about Hitler you’d have to turn around and criticize me for supporting Nazis, wouldn’t you?

  3. Adam says:

Oops. A confession: I love the game Risk. I’m such a hypocrite. See, I hated it when Bush invaded Iraq but when I do the same thing Bush did then I’m just fine with that. I’ll invade any country I want. I’ll take over the entire globe if I feel like it. Just like BUSH!

    • Big Dog says:

The problem with many liberals is they can’t tell the difference between reality and a game so this comes as no surprise.

      • Adam says:

But I’m doing just like Bush did right? If I just say it’s the same then it’s the same right?

        • Blake says:

It takes quite a progressive twit to actually write “logic” like that down- BD is right- progressive socialists can’t tell the difference between reality and a game. Just, with them, it is all about their supposed “moral” stance- “We’re right and you’re wrong- nyah, nyah, nyah-” that is the left’s argument in toto.

          • Adam says:

What? I’m not allowed to simply pretend two things are similar because it makes my point? I thought that was what I needed to do since Big Dog has been doing that on Libya = Iraq for days. Sorry. I got confused.

            • Big Dog says:

I never equated Libya to Iraq. I equated the way force was used and the FACT that Obama did not get approval from Congress. Even some of his Dems know he was wrong to do it that way. The problem is you can’t see past the halo…
