Hillary Shows Why Democrats Are Weak

Hillary Clinton has been running around the country raising money for her 2008 presidential run. She is playing the part of a centrist though she is a dyed in the wool far left liberal. As a side note, it is interesting to see what I said before is true. When you try to contact a Senator from another state (including Clinton) they ask for your ZIP code. If you are not from their state they ask you to contact your own Senator but they don’t have any trouble coming to your state and asking for money.

In any event, Hillary, like Dean, showed that she has no grasp of the world situation. She said:

“We just have to turn on the news, don’t we, to see what it’s like going on around the world — so many conflicts,” Mrs. Clinton said. “We need to get back to building partnerships and alliances, to making friends so we can influence decisions that other people make and have people working with us to stem the tide of terrorism and the threats that we confront.” She added: “If we have to use military power, yes, we have to use it. But use it as a last resort, not as a first resort. Use it after all else has failed.”

By around the world she is not making Iraq an exclusive issue. In other words, her statement includes what is going on in the Middle East. Hillary makes it sound like we are involved with our military in that conflict. We are not, as of yet, involved militarily, in the Israeli fight against terrorism. Hillary is neglecting the fact that we are involved in diplomacy with the G-8 and the UN. We used diplomacy with North Korea and they rejected the resolution. What will Hillary want if they threaten our allies?

Another thing that she shows is that Democrats are not interested in national defense. Her statement says that we need to work with others to stem the tide of terrorism and to only use military force if necessary. I guess to Hillary Israel is not fighting terrorists. Since she and Bill courted Arafat it is reasonable to assume that she does not consider the people who attacked Israel to be terrorists. I also assume from her statement that terrorists crossing your border and killing and kidnapping your soldiers is not a reason to fight. This does not surprise me because Hillary Clinton hates the military, especially the US military. One only needs to look at how she treated the military members in her husband’s White House. One only needs to read her statements about the military. I don’t mean the statements she makes now that she is trying to look like a moderate.

Hillary Clinton, through these statments, has shown that she does not understand what it takes to protect national security. She does not believe that having your country invaded, your soldiers killed, and your soldiers kidnapped are reasons to fight. The hand holding that Bill and Hillary Clinton did with Arafat gave credibility to the very organizations that have been attacking Israel for years. The Clinton administration did nothing to help the peace process in that region and Bill’s refusal to take out Osama bin Laden coupled with his support and love for Arafat has made it much tougher on the world and on Israel in particular.

There is a time to talk and a time to fight. Israel has been talking for years. They have followed all the UN resolutions and they have withdrawn from territory they obtained in war. The other sides in the debate have not lived up to their obligations despite talks that have been taking place since at least the Carter years. Israel determined that it was time to take matters in their own hands and Hillary thinks that might not have been the right thing to do.

If she ever gets elected President then we will have a terrorist world coddled by the Clintons, once again.

    It sure is depressing. A nightmare scenario:

    Hillary Clinton President of the United States;

    Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House;

    Charlie Rangel – who led the charge against personal retirement accounts in Social Security – would be chair of the Committee on Ways and Means. Someday, when our children are retired and are struggling to pay the bills, they can remember it was Rangel who had the chance to help but refused for his personal, political gain.

    John Dingell – who voted against lower gas prices – would be chair of the Energy and Commerce Committee. Dingell also voted AGAINST making tax cuts permanent – once again leaving it to the taxpayer to figure out how to pay the bills.

    Henry Waxman – no friend of Republicans – would be chair of the Government Reform Committee, where he could lead all sorts of unfounded investigations against Republicans. Already, Waxman has called for congressional hearings against President Bush’s closest advisors, including Karl Rove.

    Barney Frank – who was recently named one of the most liberal members of Congress – would be chair of the Financial Services Committee. Frank received a pathetic 4% approval rating from the American Conservative Union.

    John Conyers – who starred in Michael Moore’s ultra-liberal Fahrenheit 911 – would be chair of the Judiciary Committee.

    David Obey – who recently called the federal marriage amendment “ridiculous” – would be chair of the powerful Appropriations Committee.

    Big Dog, have any barf bags handy? The Republicans had better get busy.

    Lucky me, I have a NY zip code. Want to use it?

    Thanks for the offer. Here is what I do when I write to a member of Congress in another state. I find their mailing address in the contact info and I use that address as mine. The form always takes because it looks like I live there….
