You would be surprised at the number of people who have decided to hide their heads in the sand and say it aint so- but there it is if anyone wants to read it.
But I am sure there are even some Democrats who would be opposed to the government having that easy an access to their accounts.
After all, it is NOT their money.

Very astute of you to find that provision in HR 3200 that forces instantaneous payment of health care services through bank debits. Rest assured that few if any Congressmen have read or will read HR 3200 to even know that this provision is included, nor would they probably care if they did read it (unless they're Republicans already opposed to the plan).

Isn't it funny how he went from promising that the unemployment numbers wouldn't rise above 8% IF we had the stimulus, but now he has to eat those words, because the stimulus hasn't worked?
The reason it hasn't worked is that he tried to be clever and time the majority of the money to take effect to aid the 2010 elections.
So we can see from this that he doesn't mind making us suffer, as long as his party remains in power- how nice and compassionate of him.

I count anyone in his admin as him when it comes to this stuff, just as you lumped Bushies and Bush together then- and ALL of them were trumpeting this pitiful .1 as if the baby had just taken its first steps- I know that worse is yet to come- that's evident by the fact that he is still there.

"The administration is trumpeting the .1% change in the jobless numbers as a sign that the economy is recovering..."

No, Obama is simply saying that the recession has bottomed out. He's even said that despite recent drops that it will probably still rise to 10% before the end of the year. You're putting words in his mouth. A full recovery is not even close but there is little evidence that the economy is still worsening and several key indicators that a recovery is beginning.
