He Still Throws Like A Sissy

I was going to say he throws like a girl but I know plenty of girls who could throw a baseball better.
I am talking about Barack Obama who threw out the first pitch (no PITCH, he did not throw Michelle out) at the Washington National’s opener today. Obama threw out a pitch before and he threw like a sissy that time as well. I would have thought that since throwing out the first pitch is a tradition he would have practiced. Don’t tell me he has more important things to do because he has time to practice basketball.
I know that he was wearing a bullet proof vest but he should still be able to get the ball to home plate without having to put a huge arc on it.
George Bush threw the ball while wearing a vest and made it look easy.
Obama was booed when he was announced, booed again when he put on a Chicago White Sox hat (I am sure it was the hat and I can’t blame him for supporting his team), and he was booed when he threw the pitch. He certainly deserved the boos for the pitch. It looked like a basketball pass.
The way he throws it might be better if they start having him throw out the first pitch at slow pitch softball games. At least in that game the ball is supposed to have an arc on it.
I hope he didn’t break a nail…

Baseball’s a tough sport, especially for someone who is more accustomed to playing basketball. We don’t always get presidents that have owned baseball teams.
Still, not even Bush got it right every time. High and outside just like Obama and don’t mistake the boos for the crowd jeering Bush’s hat.
Of course I have to laugh at you for wanting Obama to waste any more time time than it takes practicing to get used to throwing 60 feet so he doesn’t injure that left hand he uses to sign all that progressive legislation into law.
Had Obama thrown like Sandy Koufax you would have said something like, “What a failed president, wasted time learning to pitch instead of leading the country.”
Of course he did not get it right every time. Cy Young missed a few in his days. The location of the pitch is not as important as the throwing motion. Look at Bush THROW the ball and Obama kind of lets it go with no real throwing motion. He throws it like a girl.
If he threw like Koufax I would not have to worry about it because he would be in the majors and not in the White House.
Even older and grayer, Bush throws like a man.
You are right about one thing- baseball is more complex than basketball- still, you might think that there was more to the incompetence, since virtually every guy has grown up throwing something- rocks at frogs or turtles, etc.
And, I am sorry- but he throws like Jiminy Carter- perhaps they share more than just their raw socialistic tendencies- maybe some genetic material.
Now THERE’S an argument FOR Eugenics.
I wouldn’t call baseball any more or less complex than basketball. They’re just two drastically different sports though often players that excel at one sport can excel at others because they’re gifted in that way.
It was pretty easy for Bush to get pumped up with adrenaline and boosted by a crowd in New York that absolutely loved him after 9/11. You can see Bush strut a little after the pitch. It’s not so easy to throw a pretty good pitch when you’re older and grayer and 3 out of every 4 people in the country wish you were out of office like when Bush threw in Washington.
I’m just amazed at the collective efforts of conservatives to over-analyze and mock Obama for his inability to throw a baseball like you think “a man” should throw it. Every president has looked stupid at one point trying to do something out of his area of expertise.
For instance a video of Obama looking agile on the court and Bush being…well…Bush. Or another longer, funnier video of Bush versus Obama basketball.
And if they ever ask Obama to throw the first jump ball of a basketball game I am sure he will do just fine.
And is it fair? We all know white men can’t jump…
Let’s just be glad we have a young, agile president when it comes to sports things. We might have had McCain had things gone your way and then you could kiss the 60 feet 6 inches goodbye for sure. Maybe they could have gotten Yogi Berra to catch the ball from about 20 feet.
Well true though McCain could not throw anyway. Something about being tortured and having bones broken. But I bet Palin could throw it that far.
And she plays basketball as well…
Palin likes anything that involves “shooting.”
Nothing wrong with that.
