Good News; Bin Laden Is DEAD

The US Government is confirming that Osama bin Laden was killed by the US military. The death happened about a week ago** and is now confirmed through DNA testing. Apparently, we have a body. ABC News is confirming the report and Matt Drudge has it up as the top item on his website.

It is a great day for America when we can kill the terrorist leader who brought so much pain to our country and to the rest of the world. The government is not saying how Bin Laden died or what military assets were involved and all of that does not really matter. What matters is that he is dead and we have DNA to prove the cold body on the slab is his.

I would recommend that people remain vigilant. There are terror cells all over the world and that includes this country and there is no telling what they might do in retaliation for the death of Bin laden.

The terrorists will not be happy.

No word yet on whether Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy…

**UPDATE: The original story indicated this took place a week ago. Newer reports indicate it took place this past weekend…

If it had been up[ to me, before I had dumped him into the sea,(where you KNOW bottom feedin’ critters are feeding on his face) I would have stitched him into a pig’s skin.

A week ago? Why then is everyone saying this weekend then? (confused)

    • Big Dog says:

The original report said it was a week ago and they waited for the DNA evidence. Now it looks like they did it this weekend and might be waiting on DNA…

I know you’ll get around to praising Obama for accomplishing what Bush tried and failed to do for almost 8 years just as soon as the shock factor wears off. In the meantime I think this is as good of a response to your side’s approach to Obama as anything so far.

    • Big Dog says:

I guess what you mean to say is the US military was able to do what CLINTON failed to do when he ha dthe chance and what would have prevented 9/11.

I am also sure you are aware that Bush laid the groundwork and the information gleened came from the detainees that he had at Gitmo. I am alsoi sure you are aware that the information about this was first obtained under Bush and passed on.

I do give Obama credit for continuing the policies of George Bush that made this possible and I give him credit for giving the order to go in and get OBL. That was gutsy because if it went bad or he was not there it would be hell to pay. However, I am sure they had to know alm,ost 100% for Obama to take such a risk.

Then again, he knew of this in August of last year but waited until now. perhaps he did not want to risk a failure that would have hurt him in the November elections.

In any event, Bush put this in place and we have him to thank as much as anyone.

But the real praise goes to the men and women who actually pull the triggers.

I would like to see a body though. Burial at sea so quickly? What are they hiding? Is he really dead? Did they find him dead of natural causes and make up a story?

      Trust but verify.

And you can play games with the birth certificate (which is nothing more than a document created from information on file and is missing the statement from an earlier one). In any event, every American has the right to ask.

I noticed your side kept going on about National Guard memoes even after they were proven phony. You all insisted that Bush show more and more even though you knew it was a lie. Those who ask the same of Obama are somehow unAmerican?

I thought dissent was the highest form of patriotism or is that only when a liberal weenie dissents?

I’d be glad to take a look at what information it was that we got from GITMO that helped this and what it was that Bush passed on to Obama to help his administration accomplish this.

“In any event, every American has the right to ask.”

Sure. That’s why the birth certificate was posted on line years ago for all to see and understand. Of course we know that no document will ever stop birthers from continuing to question Obama’s eligibility to run for the office of the president. I really don’t know why Obama bothered except maybe he felt like calling birthers again for being lunatics and childish morons. It was fun to watch him insult the movement that is taking over your side of the isle.

        • Big Dog says:

No movement is taking over any side of the aisle.

Let me ask you, why is the number at the top higher than the number on a known good one from a day later?

Two years is long enough to manufacture. The original is on microfiche and when I can see it and not one gleaned from the document then fine.

However, his own release shows he is not natural born as his father was Kenyan and a British subject. That means he had dual citizenship and is therefore, not natural born.

Trust but verify. As I stated, the document released two years ago was not sufficient. It is not a long form and only contains what a database tells it to contain. The original cannot be forged so show it instead of a new document with information someone decided to put in.

If they verify it then fine but they still need to answer the pesky citizenship.

Read the news and you will see the courier was picked up through information gotten at Gitmo under Bush.

I know you have a hard time with this but Bush laid the groundwork after Clinton dropped the ball. Bush passed it on and Obama acted on it which is a good thing.

Do not discount Bush’s part in this and please don’t act like you would support such a thing had Bush done it.

The very same nuts on the left screaming about how great it is and is the reason we should give him four more years are the same people who were protesting the war when Bush was in office.

All of the sudden you support Bush’s policies because those are what allowed us to kill OBL.

        • Big Dog says:

In a secret CIA prison in Eastern Europe years ago, al-Qaida’s No. 3 leader, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, gave authorities the nicknames of several of bin Laden’s couriers, four former U.S. intelligence officials said. Those names were among thousands of leads the CIA was pursuing.

          Years ago…

And it came rom a phone call that was no doubt wiretapped. OMG, your side must be having a cow…

          • Adam says:

I’ll cede that Bush’s intelligence operations played at least a small role in the future intelligence gathered. It wouldn’t be fair or me to pretend that this wasn’t the end of years of intelligence work. I just can’t see anything that convincing from the articles that suggests how important the passed on information was. The article points out that names given from detainees were some of thousands of leads and that torture was not even responsible for gathering some of the most important pieces. We’ll see more in the coming weeks perhaps that will clear up who played what roles. Or maybe not. This is very important politically for Obama.

As for wiretapping I think you might remember that my side couldn’t care less which phones we were tapping outside the country.

            • Eoj Trahneir says:

Fortunately for us, you are just a school teacher and not an intelligence expect. What you don’t see can and does fill volumes.

But frankly, Adam, this is what we expect from you; you are a predictable, close-minded bigot of the worst type. Even with evidence, provided in abundance continue to claim “…my side did it!” when your side, the liberals and democrats, have done everything possible to de-fang the US militarily.
What “did it” was policy set and maintained by people who lover this country, not people like Obama and you.

The only reason Obama didn’t end the search for Obama, as he promised in his election, was because once he became president, someone with a brain sat him down, and said, “No. You may be the president but there are toys you can’t take home with you. The safety of the country doesn’t belong to you.”

And I know that you are in full support of whatever Obama does -NOT because it is the right thing, but because it is the left thing- and not mentally able to understand how sick you are.

    • Blake says:

I just know you will break out in praise of all the infrastructure George Bush had put into place, like Gitmo, rendition, and your fav, I knkow- waterboarding. It was these tactics that got the info from KSM that we were eventually able to act upon.
So, go ahead, give credit where credit is due, Adam- yes, Obama gave the “go” order, but without Bush, all Obama would have been able to do would have been to sit in a corner and pleasure himself.

You have it exactly right, Dog. Last nights speech by Obama was all I, Me, My, and What I did. After all the attacks on Bush and his war efforts. What a farce. I give Obumbles no credit whatsoever. “If in fact this is actually Osama.” If they only shot him in the head why not a visual identity. Why the need for a DNA identity from Osama’s relatives and is that proof positive?” And why that burial at sea?–Which is supposed to be proper care of a Muslim body–which it is not. It is the last thing Muslims want. Well one thing is for sure this does not make Obumbles a shoo in next year. We still have #$%^t for an economy and $5.00 gas and no jobs and it isn’t likely to change. And we are still supporting the Muslims terrorists instead of using our own resources for fuel. It is however, proof what a good military we still have in spite of the left trying every way they can to undermine it.

    Redstate–referring to the left.

“If they really believed their pap, they’d be crying tears for Osama Bin Laden. They’d be pining away for the injustice. They’d weep for the rule of international law and Geneva conventions that were violated. They would be wearing their pink shirts in front of the White House and yanking out their boobies in outraged protest at the gross violation of a sovereign nation’s borders.”
