Get In The Back Of The Bus

Barack Obama is racing to the wire to minimize the losses his party is expected to suffer on election day. He is running around the country spewing his same old crap about Republicans driving the economy in the ditch. He is oblivious to the fact that the economy did not falter until Democrats took over. All appropriations start in Congress (the House) and therefore are the responsibility of Congress. Certainly George Bush should have never signed on to spend the money but the fact remains that Democrats are JUST as responsible for the mess as anyone else.

Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are two major players in what brought the economy down.

Obama, out on the stump, used a phrase that is a bit disturbing.

He said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made, he said, “we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” [emphasis mine]Yahoo News

Once again, it was not Republicans alone who drove the economy into the ditch. They might have driven it to the edge but Democrats drove it in when they took charge.

The disturbing part of this is where Obama said “they gotta sit in the back.”

Imagine how this would have played out if, say, Sarah Palin had said “Republicans are going to win big and take over and Obama will have to sit in the back.”

The comparisons to racism would have been rampant. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all the other race baiters would be screaming about racism and TEA Party activists wanting to lynch blacks or some such stuff.

The phrasing of Obama’s sentence is deliberate. He is looking to make up for the past injustices and he is using this kind of wording to show who is in charge and that things have changed.

Like his buddies in the New Black Panther Party who intimidated people at the Philadelphia Poll, Barack wants you to know you are being ruled by a black man.

But Obama is confused. Republicans freed the slaves so his allegiance to the left is part of the plantation mentality.

We will never go back to forcing certain groups to sit in the back of the bus no matter how much Obama wants to stoke the fires of racial tension.

Don’t know why he would worry anyway. He is half black and half white.

He can sit in the middle…

cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

How about this one–“In a radio interview that aired on Univision on Monday, Mr. Obama sought to assure Hispanics that he would push an immigration overhaul after the midterm elections, despite fierce Republican opposition.
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”
Referring specifically to Republicans such as Senator John McCain, who are stressing border security and supporting strict immigration laws like Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration measure, Mr. Obama said, “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”

You know Adam was touting the Democrat party as being so “diverse” in one of the last posts and saying that the Republican party is not. But I say that everyone in the Republican party could fit in there somewhere. McCain could be the disabled Vet, Mitt could be the disinfranchised Mormon, Sarah could be the victimized woman, Me–I am Native so I more than fit in there, and you Big Dog you could be whatever nationality you are, everyone could and we could all join the Democrat Party and just grab our money and take what’s ours and we should all go live in our own little places with the rest of our kind of people and speak our own language too–And it is that type of thinking that is bringing this country down. What unified everyone before when they came here is that they became American and learned the language and what they were before was secondary.

I don’t know if I’ve said anything about the “Democrat party” Victoria. You’ll have to remind me what that is again.

      • victoria says:

Adam-“It’s not that odd if you understand the structure of the Democratic Party better. There is simply far more diversity of race, religion, gender and ideology in the party than Republicans have. Even with a large majority the Democrats could not always do whatever it is they wanted because they don’t all vote in lockstep every time.

From an ideological standpoint alone the Democratic Party is made up of not only moderates, liberals and all in between, but also conservative Democrats. Such a thing doesn’t exist in the modern Republican Party.”

        • Big Dog says:

Your conservative Democrats are as conservative as our Republican liberals are liberal.

You know that they are not conservative, they are just more moderate than the far left Socialists.

And yes, it is the Democrat Party. The party of Democrats.

        • Adam says:

What does a quote about me talking about the Democratic Party have to do with you accusing me of knowing anything about the Democrat Party? Is that some kind of get-together or something?

  3. Mr. Ogre says:

You got it, Big Dog. Obama is following the Democrat standard — scare blacks into voting Democrat because, clearly, if you vote Republican, Republicans are going to institute slavery tomorrow. After all, slavery was legal until Obama was elected.

    • Adam says:

Obama doesn’t have to scare blacks, or latinos into voting. Your side’s use of race and immigration as a wedge issue come election time every year does the work for us all on it’s own.

      • Big Dog says:

No one needs to scare blacks into voting Democrat. About 92% of them vote for the D in all elections.

They are enslaved by the party.

        • Adam says:

Yes, and once again it has nothing to do with anything your side has done or has failed to do, right? Nothing to do with things my side has done better for them right? Blacks are just duped time and again. Poor, poor blacks. They can’t think for themselves…

  4. Macker says:

Actually, we shoule throw him under the bus…just like he did to so many others.
But not yet. We’ll start with the Demo☭rat Party (that one’s for you Victoria).

  5. Big Dog says:

I don’t know what you are talking about with regard to party.

I figure you think you know about them.

  6. Big Dog says:

Yes, and once again it has nothing to do with anything your side has done or has failed to do, right? Nothing to do with things my side has done better for them right? Blacks are just duped time and again. Poor, poor blacks. They can’t think for themselves…

And you call me a bigot? You are the one assuming that blacks need something donew for them in the first place. My side believes in a hand up and not a hand out. Your side is so racist and bigoted that you think blacks need help because they are unable to compete without it. You all started affirmative action because you think blacks need a little extra help.

But as far as doing anything for them, my side freed them, your side held them as slaves.

    • Adam says:

We can debate the merits of the modern existence of affirmative action but let’s not get all goofy and pretend such a thing was created out of racism as opposed to countering racism.

Your side freed the slaves? That again? Too bad the kind of Republicans that freed the slaves were run out of the party a century ago by conservatives like yourself.

Hand up, not a hand out? What is a hand up, exactly?

      • Big Dog says:

I would not expect you to know what a hand up is. I bet you know what a hand out is though.

Thanks for the HTML info. I appreciate that.

        Demo☭rat

        I wanted to try it.

        • Adam says:

I’m not sure anyone knows what a hand up is. This is another example of people using a phrase which sounds good but has very little real meaning.

  7. Adam says:

Oh, I found some! Here is Obama at a Democrat party and here is Clinton at a Democrat party.
